Reviews
Not so clean as it should be.
Many problems I faced during my stay there. They provided me with a room, exactly above their warehouses, where every morning (at 5.00) there was an extreme noise that it would be impossible to sleep. (Of course it's not the workers to blame for, it's the hotels working schedule)
Moreover there was a huge problem with the bathroom, as water pressure was extremely low, so it was impossible to take any shower at all. Asked for another room, they informed that because of theri fully booking, nothing could be done. (They should keep some free rooms for these urgent situations like these). Maintenance people came to check the water pressure, they told me that there is problem that should be reported, but nothing happened at all. A reception guy tried to help me, have been told there was the option to have at least a shower on another room, but the room he presented me was dirty, with towels in the floor. He didn't even seem to understand that this could not happen at all, I mean to have a shower, in the same dirty place that probably another person had shower some hours ago. Unbelievable....Then he proposed me to move me in another room , but again that should be only for 1 day , and under extra charge. UNBELIEVABLE, I stayed to a 4star hotel, not having a proper shower, waking up during night because of extreme noise, and they asked me for extra charge If I had to move to another floor. Totally unprofessional. At least he tried to find a solution.
TV was not working, but that was the minimum of what I faced. Breakfast not bad, but some bread was definitely not fresh.
Special thanks to a Portuguese speaking guy named David (or Daren I don't remember),who acted immediately with professionalism, realized my problem, promised to find a solution, and finally he made it as promised. Special thanks, at least for 1 the last day, I had a proper shower and a good sleep.
Omg, never again to this hotel. Definitely not a 4star one.
The only good is it's location, and it's easy parking
Overall a good experience.
Now the bad. When we arrived we were told there were none of the room type we had booked available (deluxe double) so we were "upgraded" to room 442 which was a larger room with a terrace rather than a small balcony. It was a corner room so had better views and windows on two sides. The air-conditioning in the hotel does not work very well. The room was boiling hot all the time. We asked at reception if someone could come and take a look and they said it was working, and that it was just hot in the room because it was hot outside. And being on the corner it heated up more. We went back to the room but it was impossible to spend any time in it. We asked for fans and they didn't have any (it seems there were a number of rooms with the problem). The staff seemed to know there was an issue with the room and we suspect people before us had complained and been moved and that's why our room we booked was not available and we have been "upgraded". We had a really bad night sleep, my friend slept on the balcony and so in the morning we asked again to be moved. At first they tried to fob us off again but eventually a manager came and arranged for us to move to the room type we had originally booked. It was significantly cooler - though still not cold. The first night really affected our whole stay as we were tired, hot and grumpy. The hotel really needs to invest in the air-conditioning system if they are going to give guests a pleasant stay.
