The room facilities are complete, the hotel is clean and comfortable, and the front desk reception staff are warm and thoughtful
good location, nice staff, nice swimming pool nice stay for 2 nights
First time in Malta and not just a great location to explore from but an amazing hotel stay too! From the moment we stepped in the, the staff were always pleasant and always helpful. Sopo, at breakfast ensured we had what we needed and Mina was fast to offer her assistance! Pradeep would make sure we were satisfied with our food and always took care to tell us what was where. The room was clean and...
Exceptional Service and Unforgettable Stay – Thanks to Katerina and the Team After a terrible experience at another hotel, we were relieved the moment we walked into the Intercontinental St. Julian’s, thanks to the incredible service provided by Katerina. Katerina went above and beyond to ensure that my family and I were not only comfortable but truly happy during our stay. Katerina’s attention to...
What a wonderful stay. One of the best part of the trip. You can spend the whole day just staying in the hotel because it has everything. Waterbiscuit restaurant serves amazing food (though desserts is the weak point). I would not forget Smoked duck breast. Nice and comfortable room. Very nice personal. The view from balcony would be perfect without construction (Plant here need to be watered). I highly...
The staff at the hotel could not have been any friendlier. I booked a weekend stay incl free night (platinum perk) and we got a fabulous upgrade to a lovely suite. There isn’t much of a view but given that the street outside is quite ‘lively’ we didn’t mind. The small private beach has small stones not sand but there is not a lot they can do about this. The sea side Italian seafood restaurant was excellent...

Upama made my hotel stay unforgettable—warm smile, quick help and super professional. She’s an asset to the hotel. 10/10 would book again!
I recently stayed at the Westin Dragonara in Malta and had a mixed experience. The hotel itself is beautiful and offers true 5-star amenities. The property is well maintained, the breakfast buffet was very nice with a good variety, and the location is excellent—close to nightlife, restaurants, and entertainment. Having the casino right next door is also a plus for those who enjoy that. However, the...
The staff in particular are so pleasant, helpful, and efficient, in all areas they created the right atmosphere. The half board option worked well for us and the food quality was often remarkable. Rooms, both garden and sea view, were very comfortable, clean and spacious. My elderly parents loved the hotel and the high quality 13m indoor pool/sauna/steam/jacuzzi. We also found the gym excellent and...
Facilities: Well-equipped, much more so than other international hotels! Cleanliness: Very clean! This hotel is smoke-free! Thumbs up! Environment: Convenient location with many great restaurants nearby! Service: Patient and attentive service!
The hotel is nicely located, close to the sea and close to the centre of St. Julian‘s. The rooms are spacious and clean, the staff are more than helpful and friendly. The food at the restaurant was eccellent; the breakfast, too. If we really had to find something that could be improved, it would be the noise level during breakfast. The room where you have breakfast has lovely wide windows which allow...
This is a beautiful hotel, perfectly located in the St Julian's area filled with great shops and restaurants. The rooms are spotless, stylish, and very tastefully decorated. We stayed on the 7th floor (the hotel has eight floors in total) with a lovely sea view, which really enhanced the experience. Every member of staff we encountered was friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful. The small touches...

Malta Marriott Resort & Spa offers an exceptional stay combining comfort, style, and great service. The rooms are spacious and modern, many with beautiful sea views. Exceptional Experience!!! We have conlcuded our conference at the Malta Marriott Resort & Spa, and the experience was outstanding in every respect! From the very first moment, the professionalism and warmth of the team especially Neville,Tom and Julian shone through! Every detail — from the conference facilities and technical setup of Powerhouse to the hospitality and catering — was managed with...
Another wonderful stay in what is firmly becoming my favourite Marriott hotel in Europe. Following a 4 night stay in August 2024 we returned for a 6 night stay in September 2025. We cannot fault this hotel in anyway, we arrived early around 11:00 for our reservation, we were able to leave our bags with the concierge and were given a pass to the M Club on the 13th floor ahead of our check in which...
We stayed here as a family (my husband, our baby, and I) and I can honestly say this is one of the best hotels I’ve ever experienced. Despite having four rainy days in Malta, we didn’t mind spending most of our time at the hotel—it was that good. We had access to the M Lounge, which I highly recommend. It’s absolutely worth paying a little extra for. Throughout the day, there were refreshments including...
Had a wonderful week here, the most amazing service, fantastic facilities and great location. We had access to the M Club which we loved. Outside kids pool was brilliant, as was having access to the indoor spa pool in the morning. Our room was spotless and had gorgeous views over the bay. All the staff were incredibly accommodating and always happy to help. The only (very small) area that could be...
Excellent location and lovely rooftop pool. Abundant and varied breakfast selection. Special mention to Ms Kyra at reception who went and beyond to ensure our room was provided to us as early as possible in view of the long flight.

Everything good but the coffee shop work people not kind
This Hotel is well located. Front Desk & room services are amazing. Good choice of Breakfast buffet. Different type of restaurants inside the hotel. Indoor pool, spa is fully equipped. I must give this hotel 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
During check-in, I was informed that if I booked breakfast in advance, it would cost €22 per person, whereas the price would be €25 per person without prior reservation. Based on this information, I decided to reserve breakfast for the first day of my two-night stay at the rate of €22 per person. However, upon checking out, I noticed that I had been charged €25 instead. When I pointed this out to...

Stayed here in late October 2024. Great location, great outdoor pool areas, but boy o boy those pools are cool in Autumn. Breakfast is lovely, everything is fresh, tasty, with lots of options. It's very nice place to stay. Recommend 100%
Very old hotel with only 1 plug in the room that works with modern day electronics lol, the hotel is nice and quiet, location is close to everything as well. But the reception desk service is the worst!
Beautiful hotel! Warm welcome from Katalina!
Beautiful grounds with great pools. Very clean rooms and a great balcony with sea views. We even received an upgrade on site. Breakfast was very varied. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Airport reachable within 20 minutes.
We booked a trip with 4 friends, but the room is a bit small and old, not like a 5-star hotel, should be 3 stars. My pillow has blood stains, I told the cleaning staff, but they didn't change the pillowcases for me. But the location is good, private beach, breakfast is ok to some extent, quite impressed.

Very good view, got a free upgrade to next room category.
The place was well located, the staff was friendly and helpful, the view was amazing.  Great place to stay
The sea view is nice, but that's all. The price is 200 euros a night, the room is average, the breakfast is generally okay but not very tasty and messy. The service is almost non-existent, and the front desk service attitude is average. But all hotels abroad are like this, so I can give it a 4 point overall
Recommended. A very nice stay. Very good location and hotel, with nice private beach, clear water, good pool area with great view and nice adults only pool for quiet option. Excellent service throughout, from Henri welcoming us personally at breakfast through to everyone actually, from main desk to room servicing - everyone extremely polite and helpful. We had the worst hotel experience in Hyatt Regency Malta. While my mum was taking a shower at the hotel room, the water suddenly stopped. Between Sliema and St Julian's Bay approx 10 minutes walk each. Superb facilities and staff
Great hotel. Buffet style dinners....generally really good food. Have us a complimentary bottle of wine for my husband's birthday!!! The bar could use more staff though. Only 1 person on each night and they were run ragged. Overall a great experience and would come here again..
Food was great, staff really polite and friendly. Parking was not a problem with their parking areas underground. Overall a very pleasant evening

Rooms are clean, large and comfortable, service is fantastic, beautiful hotel. Of the restaurants, the Rooftop Bar was the best for dinner- they were outstanding service, drinks and food. The Temptasian restaurant was not quite the atmosphere described - food was good but they seated us at a table right near the kitchen without good ventilation and made it feel like a sauna then a restaurant. Their restaurant has lovely food and again staff will make you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. I would recommend this hotel without any hesitation. Very special place
Lovely hotel with excellent facilities. Lovely large rooms with balconies, mini fridge and great amenities in the bathroom. Good service at all bars and friendly staff throughout. Hydra spa is relaxing. There are two pools one in a garden setting and one by the sea - each have their own charm.
This is not 4 star. we have been going to Malta for the last 10 years and this is the worst hotel we have stayed in. Apparently they are closing it next year according to the holiday rep and this would make sense as the rooms needed updating and the food needs improving. The front of house staff were not very friendly. The location is lovely and the cleaning staff were brilliant.
The place is closing soon for a major and much needed refurbishment. Let's hope it returns as one of the best hotels in Malta when it re-opens in 2020.

I would definitely not rate this hotel as 5star, expected a little luxury but was very disappointed. Room was spacious but looked more like a 3 star travelodge very dated with basic amenities. Shower was far from a power shower with cheap shower curtain. Loose floor tiles without grouting. Phone had obviously fallen of at some point and just plastered back on with paint. Light didn't always work...
We stayed one week at the hotel Excelsior at the end of November, and I have no words to express my gratitude to everyone who made our stay such a wonderful experience! From the reception team, the young, tall doorman who always paid special attention to our 3-year old boy, the cleaning staff, to the restaurant crew — everyone was welcoming, helpful, and genuinely polite. Our suite was so spacious...
We stayed here for four nights during our trip to Malta, and it’s safe to say that while this hotel may have been five stars last century, it’s surely not worthy of that ranking now. Firstly, we arrived and we had booked two rooms online, but the hotel couldn’t find our reservations (or had some error where our reservations were under a different name) for over half an hour. Great 5 night stay. We used the spa and indoor pool daily and the grounds and outdoor heated pool are simply fabulous. You need to book the spa but it is included for guests not charged extra like some hotels. The breakfast was very, very good. The staff at this hotel are truly outstanding and really represent the very best in guest focussed hospitality.
The Phoencia is a wonderful hotel. All of the staff are courteous, efficient and friendly, and they all seem happy in their work. The rooms are spotless and the restaurant is excellent. A special mention to the restaurant breakfast staff who work very hard and were very busy on Sunday, but made the time to clear a prepare a table in the conservatory.

I really loved staying at this hotel, Naxxar where the hotel is located is away from the main touristy areas, it’s secluded yet central to close proximity to the bus station which is 6 minutes by walk and if you have Bolt installed you can easily book a ride to your destination. Wonderful stay This was a trip for my birthday and we had a wonderful stay. Fantastic service, from the minute we arrived, the drinks to the jacuzzi and the helpfulness of the staff. The bed was so comfy, the only thing that would have made it better would have been a firmer pillow. The hotel is in a very quiet area and ubers can drop you straight to the door. There's also a bus not too far away....
Lovely place to stay. We were there just for 2 days and loved it. The location is a bit off the beaten track but worked perfectly logistically for us. Personally I really dislike the wooden chairs, tables and beds' base. it gives out "ancient" feel. otherwise the bed mattress was comfortable. Great terrace view. Plenty of outdoor pools.
This hotel is perfect for a holiday in Malta(St Julian's).. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with many good restaurants on site. The shining light of this hotel is the staff...from managers to supervisors to waiting and cleaning staff..they are all friendly, efficient and polite and make you feel special. Congratulations to the manager for excellent recruitment and training. You can walk to the...
The room is not tiny, and the balcony and sea view are gorgeous. The provided breakfast is rich. But the clearness and efficiency are still needed to improve. We found the last customer’s belongings in the closet and some breadcrumbs on the table. More than that, there was yoghurt garbage in the trash can, and it didn't smell good...

Took a deluxe room which wasn't. No cupboards no drawers no towel hooks three small open shelves only. Small safe on floor that could be picked up and removed no bath mat. Plaster falling from wall. A bit disappointed to be honest as it was expensive. Nice view though.
Wonderful location at the sea/harbor with pool and own swimming location in front of the hotel. Was not to noisy. Of course you hear some music and traffic from the coastal road. Rooms and hotel is a little aged but okay. AC on level seven had to work hard against sun from rooftop and windows but great views!
Good location to get around the city with lots of restaurants around. Clean room with marina view and not loud at night. Hard to find room near the pool/sea area. Staff could improve on English, breakfast was repetitive, I would suggest a replacement of the lift as it was very hot and takes about a minute before the doors opened.
The room is clean and with a great view. The breakfast is very good with friendly chefs making any eggs you want. You have to be early to the pool to get a spot if you’re a friend group or a family. The air conditioning is central system, that means you don’t get it under 20°c inside your room. The gym is small, but if you are creative, you can get an ok workout. Overall a good experience.
Didnt really know how to score this stay. First the positives. Hotel in a great location. Room a decent size, very clean. Pool area nice and plenty of sunbeds even though hotel was full. Being able to get straight into the sea was great. Decent breakfast. Bar reasonably priced. Plenty of options for food and drink nearby. Now the bad. When we arrived we were told there were none of the room type we...
Highly recommended! I got the room without the marina view, but you can see the alternative view in the picture. Bathroom is clean, but as usually in Malta there is no good air vent out so after a shower all is foggy and you gotta open the balcony and bathroom doors. Apart from that I was very happy with the room. I got option with breakfast and this was probably the biggest choice of food I've seen...

Enjoyed a few days stay here at the Mercure. Just a street back from the busy food stalls and restaurants of Julian’s Bay. Nice modern hotel with a roof top pool and restaurant, staff were most helpful and parking was available on site. Room was fantastic - very spacious and every amenity required.
We were warmly welcomed, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. They regularly checked in to make sure everything was fine and offered their assistance whenever we needed anything. If you have no idea where to eat or what to do, no problem—the staff are more than happy to help with recommendations. Overall, I am more than satisfied and would recommend this hotel to anyone. I experienced absolutely...
I would describe the hotel as ideally situated to the city centre, just few minutes walking distance from the sea and cafes, restaurants and shops. In terms of the facilities, the hotel can be rated as excellent since they ensure high quality standards are maintained when it comes to service, accommodating the needs of guests and going out of their way to ensure the guest has a pleasant experience...
We booked the privilege deluxe double room which we hoped would include some extra amenities but unfortunately the only element that felt privileged was being on a high floor. It was disappointing not to receive any additional benefits with our booking. Nonetheless, the room was a good size, modern, with a nice balcony and good air conditioning. One big issue we had was the complete lack of storage...
Best Staff ever. Beautiful Pool deck. Fine breakfast. Tidy and clean rooms.
Amenities kinda poor for a global chain.. Rooftop views aren’t THAAT great..

We absolutely LOVED our 4 night stay at Hotel Juliani. The hotel itself; our beautiful suite - with the amazing view; the bar and restaurants, and the service provided by the staff all deserve Five Stars. It is definitely one of the best hotels we have stayed in in all of our world travels.
Our room was on the 4th floor, very spacious and with a big balcony facing Spinola Bay. Bathroom was also spacious with a beautiful walk in shower. We had our towels changed twice in a week, that was nice. The view from the balcony was stunning. Location is very convenient. It is a busy area but once we closed the window we couldn't hear a thing and slept always very well. There is plenty of restaurants...
The view is beautiful and location is very convenient, but beyond that it's a very average hotel. The bathroom was very small and if you're on the toilet with the door is open it's in your face. They don't carry bags to your room or show you there. The pool isn't heated and so in October it's freezing and only for the brave. The rooftop bar isn't open either after September. The traffic outside is...
Location - located directly on spinola bay so very busy outside but when the door is closed you hear nothing so perfect. Plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. Bus services directly outside the hotel Rooms - we had room 405 which was lovely and beautiful with a large terrace and waking up every morning to this was great, only slight negative was no daily water which would expect - or a facility to...
Not a bad thing to say about this hotel. It was our 3rd time staying at Hotel Juliani and it exceeds expectations every-time. From the moment we walked in being greeted by their friendly staff, Ojo made us feel at home. We arrived a few hours before check in time, and they allowed us to check in early. We opted for a Sea View room which has amazing views of Spinola and provides a great place to enjoy...
10 out of 10! Starting from the staff — all hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. We booked a sea view room — the room and bed were very comfortable, clean, and spacious. The balcony was large, with an absolutely stunning view. The area is quite crowded, but the soundproofing is excellent, so you can sleep peacefully without any noise. As for the location — it’s amazing! Very easy to reach any...

It’s a great place to be, nice and quiet location, but you got everything around. It has a gym, spa and a small pool on the roof. The room was like a flat and beautiful. If you like English breakfast you will be happy. Amita from the reception should get a salary increase, as she is the best receptionist I have ever seen, always friendly and supportive.
We had an absolutely amazing stay at this hotel! The room had everything we could possibly need, and the jacuzzi on the balcony with a stunning sea view was just incredible. I loved the bath combined with the shower, and the fact that all toiletries were provided – even toothbrushes! Housekeeping was done daily, and the service was truly exceptional – they even called to check if we needed anything...
Beautiful, funny and fresh interior. Very friendly staff, good location, great breakfast. Pool on the roof and little spa. Warm recommendation. Small and cosy hotel in Balluta Bay. Beach, restaurants and bus routes very close.
I stayed here 2 weeks ago with my friends and we had the best experience! The room was lovely (especially the bathroom), the rooftop pool and indoor pool and jacuzzi were lovely, the breakfast was great and the staff were so friendly and accommodating. We also got a discount on an amazing massage and the spa facilities :) I would 100% recommend staying here!!
The staff was very friendly and helpful, but the breakfast selection was limited, and the rooms smelled of stale grease and food in the morning. The pool was small but acceptable. The elevator was a disaster; using the stairs was very outdated. The location was usually expensive with Uber and Bolt. The beach is far from the hotel.
I've booked twice in a month offers for relaxing massage and spa and I loved it each time. Highly recommended place. The personnel are very kind and helping, the massage therapists are very experienced and caring. Mayor point for me to want to come back for more are the clean and divers spa facilities. After a swim and jacuzzi, I love the sir in the stream room, sauna, cold room and a bucket shower...
