My husband and I chose this hotel because we trusted Marriott’s reputation, but our stay was shockingly bad. While the view was decent, the hotel itself felt outdated. The worst part was the service. The Indian front desk staff treated us (Asian guests) with cold indifference, yet minutes later, smiled warmly at white guests. We booked an ocean-view room but were given a garden view instead. When...
Very nice hotel clean, good location in Malta and helpful staff in front desk Raman ( if I’m not wrong) and George in coniege
Excellent! They are family friendly!
The facilities are a bit old. The toilet style is like motel. Toilet paper super thin. There are sea view rooms without sea view. Check out time 12 but they already ask you when do u check out at 11.
Stayed with handicapped Mom, Hotel gave us best room with perfect view, provided a wheelchair and took excellent service. Nice pool area snd gym. The best value for the money in the area — totally recommend!!!
Obviously the best Hotel in Malta. Must explore the whole Dragonara at your own risk of course as it's the Big Sea, you also can just go snorkeling safely around the Maltese Ghemmuna Artillery battery, which became the Scicluna Family Palace after the Banking Reset of 1873 Greta Staff starting with Upama at the Green exotic stone desk, then was guided to my cozy room by Duty Manager Sandra who explained...

good location, nice staff, nice swimming pool nice stay for 2 nights
First time in Malta and not just a great location to explore from but an amazing hotel stay too! From the moment we stepped in the, the staff were always pleasant and always helpful. Sopo, at breakfast ensured we had what we needed and Mina was fast to offer her assistance! Pradeep would make sure we were satisfied with our food and always took care to tell us what was where. The room was clean and...
Exceptional Service and Unforgettable Stay – Thanks to Katerina and the Team After a terrible experience at another hotel, we were relieved the moment we walked into the Intercontinental St. Julian’s, thanks to the incredible service provided by Katerina. Katerina went above and beyond to ensure that my family and I were not only comfortable but truly happy during our stay. Katerina’s attention to...
What a wonderful stay. One of the best part of the trip. You can spend the whole day just staying in the hotel because it has everything. Waterbiscuit restaurant serves amazing food (though desserts is the weak point). I would not forget Smoked duck breast. Nice and comfortable room. Very nice personal. The view from balcony would be perfect without construction (Plant here need to be watered). I highly...
The staff at the hotel could not have been any friendlier. I booked a weekend stay incl free night (platinum perk) and we got a fabulous upgrade to a lovely suite. There isn’t much of a view but given that the street outside is quite ‘lively’ we didn’t mind. The small private beach has small stones not sand but there is not a lot they can do about this. The sea side Italian seafood restaurant was excellent...

Malta Marriott Resort & Spa offers an exceptional stay combining comfort, style, and great service. The rooms are spacious and modern, many with beautiful sea views. Staff are friendly and attentive, making...
Exceptional Experience!!! We have conlcuded our conference at the Malta Marriott Resort & Spa, and the experience was outstanding in every respect! From the very first moment, the professionalism and warmth of the team especially Neville,Tom and Julian shone through! Every detail — from the conference facilities and technical setup of Powerhouse to the hospitality and catering — was managed with...
Another wonderful stay in what is firmly becoming my favourite Marriott hotel in Europe. Following a 4 night stay in August 2024 we returned for a 6 night stay in September 2025. We cannot fault this hotel in anyway, we arrived early around 11:00 for our reservation, we were able to leave our bags with the concierge and were given a pass to the M Club on the 13th floor ahead of our check in which...
We stayed here as a family (my husband, our baby, and I) and I can honestly say this is one of the best hotels I’ve ever experienced. Despite having four rainy days in Malta, we didn’t mind spending most of our time at the hotel—it was that good. We had access to the M Lounge, which I highly recommend. It’s absolutely worth paying a little extra for. Throughout the day, there were refreshments including...
Had a wonderful week here, the most amazing service, fantastic facilities and great location. We had access to the M Club which we loved. Outside kids pool was brilliant, as was having access to the indoor spa pool in the morning. Our room was spotless and had gorgeous views over the bay. All the staff were incredibly accommodating and always happy to help. The only (very small) area that could be...
Excellent location and lovely rooftop pool. Abundant and varied breakfast selection. Special mention to Ms Kyra at reception who went and beyond to ensure our room was provided to us as early as possible in view of the long flight.

This Hotel is well located. Front Desk & room services are amazing. Good choice of Breakfast buffet. Different type of restaurants inside the hotel. Indoor pool, spa is fully equipped. I must give this hotel 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
During check-in, I was informed that if I booked breakfast in advance, it would cost €22 per person, whereas the price would be €25 per person without prior reservation. Based on this information, I decided to reserve breakfast for the first day of my two-night stay at the rate of €22 per person. However, upon checking out, I noticed that I had been charged €25 instead. When I pointed this out to...

Stayed here in late October 2024. Great location, great outdoor pool areas, but boy o boy those pools are cool in Autumn. Breakfast is lovely, everything is fresh, tasty, with lots of options. The bread is to die for The live Jazz band was amazing, going to the Blue Elephant Thai tonight and will review later.
I recently stayed at Hilton Malta and had an exceptional experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming, making me feel right at home. It's very nice place to stay. Recommend 100%
Very old hotel with only 1 plug in the room that works with modern day electronics lol, the hotel is nice and quiet, location is close to everything as well. But the reception desk service is the worst!
Beautiful hotel! Warm welcome from Katalina!
Beautiful grounds with great pools. Very clean rooms and a great balcony with sea views. We even received an upgrade on site. Breakfast was very varied. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Airport reachable within 20 minutes.
We booked a trip with 4 friends, but the room is a bit small and old, not like a 5-star hotel, should be 3 stars. My pillow has blood stains, I told the cleaning staff, but they didn't change the pillowcases for me. But the location is good, private beach, breakfast is ok to some extent, quite impressed.

Lovely hotel with friendly staff. We bought the day pass for the pool which was perfect for experiencing the pool and bridging the gap before our flight. Would definitely come back to stay here!
Rooms are clean, large and comfortable, service is fantastic, beautiful hotel. Of the restaurants, the Rooftop Bar was the best for dinner- they were outstanding service, drinks and food. The Temptasian restaurant was not quite the atmosphere described - food was good but they seated us at a table right near the kitchen without good ventilation and made it feel like a sauna then a restaurant. Their restaurant has lovely food and again staff will make you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. I would recommend this hotel without any hesitation. Very special place
Lovely hotel with excellent facilities. Lovely large rooms with balconies, mini fridge and great amenities in the bathroom. Good service at all bars and friendly staff throughout. Sleima and itis next to sea front
Hydra spa is relaxing. There are two pools one in a garden setting and one by the sea - each have their own charm.
This is not 4 star. we have been going to Malta for the last 10 years and this is the worst hotel we have stayed in. Apparently they are closing it next year according to the holiday rep and this would make sense as the rooms needed updating and the food needs improving. The front of house staff were not very friendly. The location is lovely and the cleaning staff were brilliant.
The place is closing soon for a major and much needed refurbishment. Let's hope it returns as one of the best hotels in Malta when it re-opens in 2020.

We stayed for 3 nights and had a very good experience. We were upgraded to a superior sea view room on floor 10. Very good size and in excellent order. Great 5 night stay. We used the spa and indoor pool daily and the grounds and outdoor heated pool are simply fabulous. You need to book the spa but it is included for guests not charged extra like some hotels. The breakfast was very, very good. The staff at this hotel are truly outstanding and really represent the very best in guest focussed hospitality.
The Phoencia is a wonderful hotel. All of the staff are courteous, efficient and friendly, and they all seem happy in their work. The rooms are spotless and the restaurant is excellent. A special mention to the restaurant breakfast staff who work very hard and were very busy on Sunday, but made the time to clear a prepare a table in the conservatory.

The hotel itself was fantastic. We stayed in the Grand Harbour Suite and our room was huge and very nice. The staff was really nice and the property was always clean. The pool area was lovely and relaxing especially in the summer heat. Location is AMAZING! The only reason for 4 stars is the noise at night. A really gem of a hotel. A great thought has been put in designing this hotel out of a historic fortress. Each room is individual, most with high ceiling and exposed stone walls. One of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed in. Staff were really excellent, the rooms were really large and well appointed, and the swimming pool was nice too. Great location to jump on the ferry to Valletta. Had a great stay, and will go back if in Malta again.

Our first stay at the Xara and it really was exceptional! Thank you to the staff and the team. It was nice to meet the family behind it too, thank you Justin. Mdina is a wonderful city and the Xara is another level of luxury, I highly recommend doing a few nights there on any holiday to Malta.
We just visited for coffee and dessert. The flavors were really good and the location is simply amazing. It would have been a five-star experience, but unfortunately our waitress seemed to be having a bad day, and that affected the service a bit. Still, definitely worth a visit!
This is a lovely hotel inside the Medina City Gates. What makes it really stand out is the exceptional service. All the staff went above and beyond and made us feel welcome. I recently stopped by the Xara Palace hotel and was assisted by Istvan, the duty manager at reception. His professionalism and genuine attentiveness left a strong impression. I would describe the hotel as ideally situated to the city centre, just few minutes walking distance from the sea and cafes, restaurants and shops. Brilliant location, clean, helpful staff. Breakfast was a bit hit and miss, but that didn't bother me too much. Rooms were clean but could do with a bit of an update. I understand the financial pressures of the Covid lock downs so, again was not a problem for me. I don't understand some of the reviews on here as my stay was just what I wanted, and for the price a bargain.
While underwhelming at first sight, give it a few days and its strategic location and kind staff will surely grow on you. Also the wi-fi is excellent.
Only stayed for 3 days, but for the price this hotel is great value, the location was good, room was spotless and cleaned to a very high standard every day, the staff are extremely hard working and the reception staff could not have been more helpful, the breakfast was of a very high standard plenty of it and piping hot. After reading a lot of negative reviews, I sort of feared having to stay here, however, after checking in and seeing my room, I couldn't quite understand why people were so negative. Its a budget hotel, yes, but for what you are paying its actually okay. For me it was fine and I am happy with my experience there.
Lifts were not always working. During my stay, i had a few days where I had to walk up and down the stairs a couple of times. One would get fun and then break again. Hot water was not reliable. I had to leave running for half an hour before getting mild warm water.

It’s been a rollercoaster with this hotel, and I was changing my mind about it a couple of times, but here’s the truth. Beautiful, funny and fresh interior. Very friendly staff, good location, great breakfast. Pool on the roof and little spa. Warm recommendation. Small and cosy hotel in Balluta Bay. Beach, restaurants and bus routes very close.
I stayed here 2 weeks ago with my friends and we had the best experience! The room was lovely (especially the bathroom), the rooftop pool and indoor pool and jacuzzi were lovely, the breakfast was great and the staff were so friendly and accommodating. We stayed here for 2 nights and loved it. Really good location, great rooms and very helpful service across the board (especially Apple in Reception). Thanks!
