Beautiful grounds with great pools. Very clean rooms and a great balcony with sea views. We even received an upgrade on site. Breakfast was very varied. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Airport reachable within 20 minutes.

We booked a trip with 4 friends, but the room is a bit small and old, not like a 5-star hotel, should be 3 stars. My pillow has blood stains, I told the cleaning staff, but they didn't change the pillowcases for me. But the location is good, private beach, breakfast is ok to some extent, quite impressed.

Malta is a very special place in the world for me. This hotel is perfectly situated on the very edge of the shore, in the face of the ultimate blue Mediterranean sea.

Sleima and itis next to sea front

Hydra spa is relaxing. There are two pools one in a garden setting and one by the sea - each have their own charm.

This is not 4 star. we have been going to Malta for the last 10 years and this is the worst hotel we have stayed in. Apparently they are closing it next year according to the holiday rep and this would make sense as the rooms needed updating and the food needs improving. The front of house staff were not very friendly. The location is lovely and the cleaning staff were brilliant.

The place is closing soon for a major and much needed refurbishment. Let's hope it returns as one of the best hotels in Malta when it re-opens in 2020.

Great 5 night stay. We used the spa and indoor pool daily and the grounds and outdoor heated pool are simply fabulous. Great location. Food was OK if you are here for a day. They haven't changed the breakfast menu not once in the week I was here. It is ridiculous to say they have "spa and sauna". The room is not tiny, and the balcony and sea view are gorgeous. The provided breakfast is rich. But the clearness and efficiency are still needed to improve. We found the last customer’s belongings in the closet and some breadcrumbs on the table. More than that, there was yoghurt garbage in the trash can, and it didn't smell good...

Took a deluxe room which wasn't. No cupboards no drawers no towel hooks three small open shelves only. Small safe on floor that could be picked up and removed no bath mat. Plaster falling from wall. A bit disappointed to be honest as it was expensive. Nice view though.

Wonderful location at the sea/harbor with pool and own swimming location in front of the hotel. Was not to noisy. Of course you hear some music and traffic from the coastal road. Rooms and hotel is a little aged but okay. AC on level seven had to work hard against sun from rooftop and windows but great views!

Good location to get around the city with lots of restaurants around. Clean room with marina view and not loud at night. Hard to find room near the pool/sea area. Staff could improve on English, breakfast was repetitive, I would suggest a replacement of the lift as it was very hot and takes about a minute before the doors opened.

The room is clean and with a great view. The breakfast is very good with friendly chefs making any eggs you want. You have to be early to the pool to get a spot if you’re a friend group or a family. The air conditioning is central system, that means you don’t get it under 20°c inside your room. The gym is small, but if you are creative, you can get an ok workout. Overall a good experience.

Highly recommended! I got the room without the marina view, but you can see the alternative view in the picture. Bathroom is clean, but as usually in Malta there is no good air vent out so after a shower all is foggy and you gotta open the balcony and bathroom doors. Enjoyed a few days stay here at the Mercure. Just a street back from the busy food stalls and restaurants of Julian’s Bay. Nice modern hotel with a roof top pool and restaurant, staff were most helpful and parking was available on site. Room was fantastic - very spacious and every amenity required.

We absolutely LOVED our 4 night stay at Hotel Juliani. The hotel itself; our beautiful suite - with the amazing view; the bar and restaurants, and the service provided by the staff all deserve Five Stars. It is definitely one of the best hotels we have stayed in in all of our world travels.

Our room was on the 4th floor, very spacious and with a big balcony facing Spinola Bay. Bathroom was also spacious with a beautiful walk in shower. We had our towels changed twice in a week, that was nice. The view from the balcony was stunning. Location is very convenient. It is a busy area but once we closed the window we couldn't hear a thing and slept always very well. There is plenty of restaurants...

The view is beautiful and location is very convenient, but beyond that it's a very average hotel. The bathroom was very small and if you're on the toilet with the door is open it's in your face. It’s a great place to be, nice and quiet location, but you got everything around. It has a gym, spa and a small pool on the roof. The room was like a flat and beautiful.If you like English breakfast you will be happy. Amita from the reception should get a salary increase, as she is the best receptionist I have ever seen, always friendly and supportive.

We had an absolutely amazing stay at this hotel! The room had everything we could possibly need, and the jacuzzi on the balcony with a stunning sea view was just incredible. I loved the bath combined with the shower, and the fact that all toiletries were provided – even toothbrushes! Housekeeping was done daily, and the service was truly exceptional – they even called to check if we needed anything...

I stayed here 2 weeks ago with my friends and we had the best experience! The room was lovely (especially the bathroom), the rooftop pool and indoor pool and jacuzzi were lovely, the breakfast was great and the staff were so friendly and accommodating. We also got a discount on an amazing massage and the spa facilities :) I would 100% recommend staying here!!

The staff was very friendly and helpful, but the breakfast selection was limited, and the rooms smelled of stale grease and food in the morning. The pool was small but acceptable. The elevator was a disaster; using the stairs was very outdated. The location was usually expensive with Uber and Bolt. The beach is far from the hotel.

I've booked twice in a month offers for relaxing massage and spa and I loved it each time. Highly recommended place. The personnel are very kind and helping, the massage therapists are very experienced and caring. Mayor point for me to want to come back for more are the clean and divers spa facilities. After a swim and jacuzzi, I love the sir in the stream room, sauna, cold room and a bucket shower...
