My stay here was amazing! It's pretty central to many areas. 10-15min taxi ride to Valletta, 40min to MDina, and the restaurants and bars are a walk down the street. My room and parlor were beautiful. There was a soaking tub behind the bed, while a separate shower and toilet room. Initially, I was a little lost because the hotel is at the end of a long drive way.

Hydra spa is relaxing. There are two pools one in a garden setting and one by the sea - each have their own charm.

This is not 4 star. we have been going to Malta for the last 10 years and this is the worst hotel we have stayed in. Apparently they are closing it next year according to the holiday rep and this would make sense as the rooms needed updating and the food needs improving. The front of house staff were not very friendly. The location is lovely and the cleaning staff were brilliant.

The place is closing soon for a major and much needed refurbishment. Let's hope it returns as one of the best hotels in Malta when it re-opens in 2020.

Great 5 night stay. We used the spa and indoor pool daily and the grounds and outdoor heated pool are simply fabulous. You need to book the spa but it is included for guests not charged extra like some hotels. The breakfast was very, very good. The Phoencia is a wonderful hotel. All of the staff are courteous, efficient and friendly, and they all seem happy in their work. The rooms are spotless and the restaurant is excellent. Area seems safe and caters to tourists well, apartments are close to big hotels and other accommodation so lots of restaurants near by. The bus service is really good too. The airport is around 40 minutes away by bus. The lobby is nice and staff are lovely. The hotel was okay but much lower than expected. I have never seen a hotel that would clean rooms every 3 days and even that cleaning was subpar and done hastily. Staff mentioned they might not be able to do cleaning and their shift was about to be over, likely they don't have enough staff and overworked. This is a very old building with subpar maintenance. Minimal amenities and not worth the cost

It was okay, clean room, friendly service, good base for trips. The sea view was amazing as others options will be with quite noisy street. Service is really supported. My AC was broken and they fixed it just immediately. For bad things, poor equipment in the kitchen. My toaster was broken. A few pots but without frying pan. In the area there are only a couple of parking spots.

An absolutely wonderful stay! The hotel exceeded all my expectations – beautiful facilities, friendly and helpful staff, delicious breakfast, and a very relaxing atmosphere. The pool and spa were perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. Highly recommended, and I’d definitely come back!

We had a really nice stay at this hotel. The breakfast was delicious, the staff very friendly and helpful, and the indoor pool was a great perk. The atmosphere was pleasant, and many little details made the stay even better. There were only a few minor things that could be improved, but overall we were very satisfied. We would definitely come back!

Very good hotel, excellent amenities, we stayed bed and breakfast. The food at breakfast was top quality and varied. The hotel was very clean in all areas, very modern decor throughout. Room very comfortable with sea view. Would stay at this hotel again.

Stayed here many times. They have installed new lifts. The old ones were very dated. New ones are very speedy. Room very clean and serviced every day. Excellent breakfast and food in the downstairs cafe is very reasonably priced.

Read some poor reviews before my visit but was pleasantly surprised. The hotel was modern and clean. Room was spacious with a sea view. Food, breakfast & dinner was excellent with lots of choice. Visited during October so the hotel/dining room wasn't as busy as maybe in peak season. No problems getting a sun lounger. Would visit again late season

One of the best hotel experiences I've had. The hotel was spotless. All staff were friendly and helpful, hotel looks exactly as on website pictures. Good quality food. All inclusive board option highly recommended. Quite entertaining live music from 8-11pm

Such good value for money. All inclusive package is well worth the upgrade. Good selection of food in the breakfast/lunch/dinner buffet. The food in the pool bar is great too! I booked a land view room and ended up with a side sea view with balcony. Hotel could do with some re decorating in place but it is spotlessly clean.

Appalling service!! We lost electricity multiple times a day/night in a room and when we approached staff they did not seem to really care or do anything about it. It is obviously an ongoing issue but failed to tell any guests. I have tried emailing them whilst we were there as well to try and get some resolution/refund/room change but no one would respond. Staff lovely and room very clean. All areas of the hotel were too noisy for me. There was nowhere peaceful. Also the water dispenser was out of order all week.

We stayed April 6th through 19th. For an all inclusive resort it’s a fail. I understand a deposit for pool towels and robes, but a five euro charge for cleaning the robes? Though there are water dispensers available you must bring your own containers. The saving grace to this property is that the rooms were very quiet. We are a couple and had 2 single beds pushed together, each with its own set of single bed sheets and blankets. The food at the buffet was mediocre. The coffee was great. All the common areas were so busy and extremely noisy. Hotel spotlessly clean, rooms serviced daily, Restaurant and Bar staff all exceptional. Pool area lovely shame the roof area was closed I had pre arrival questions which were not answered prior to our arrival causing unnecessary stress and inconvenience. The score would be higher if they didn't rip you off when the festivals are on. Also some of the bar staff literally make up the prices from one day to the next. Shame because it's a nice hotel.

Malta is an amazing spot for all types of people but the bora bora has the most laid back and energising staff and people, all walks of life and not a single person causes problems. highly recommend the rong festival which partners with the bora bora hotel, couldnt have picked a chiller spot.
