We recently stayed at the Ocean V Hotel for four days at the end of a cruise before flying home to Perth. We arrived quite early so our room was not immediately available but the front stall puts is in comfortably chairs stored our luggage, and provided a welcome drink. Our rooms on the first floor were spotless and modern and faced the ocean, view restricted due to trees etc. We really enjoyed the food provided for breakfast and dinner. One night we were given a special meal in their Japanese themed restaurant on the first floor which was a great experience. Some of the very junior wait staff in the rooftop restaurant, we were advised, were trainees from India, who the hotel as providing training for positions in the hospitality industry. Few hiccups with the orders at times, but soon sorted out and I commend the hotel for providing the training. Having a pool and bar on the top floor with the restaurant was great too. Special mention of Clive in the restaurant for his attentive service and we found all the staff friendly and helpful.
The hotel, in my opinion is in a great location for access to beaches, Port Louis, and other attractions in Mauritius and I would not hesitate to stay there again

We have just returned from a amazing week at Ocean V. We were given exceptional hospitality from start to finish. The rooms were clean and air conditioned and housekeeping came every day with fresh towels and water. We were all inclusive which included buffet style breakfast, set 3 course lunch and a mixture of buffet style, set 3 course and the Manzu restaurant for Dinner. The food was amazing and we sampled all offered which included a Valentine’s Buffett with gorgeous themed desserts and a Teppanyaki 5 course meal in Manzu. With special thanks to Ahmed and Manish for looking after my unique dietary requirements and also Clive, Avinum and Suraj for their outstanding service. We had a fantastic week and hopefully will return in the future.

We spent 7 days at Ocean V hotel and our experience there was amazing.
The rooms are very clean and have a sea view.
The staff is smiling and very kind.
The service and food in the restaurant are perfect. I want to give a special thanks to Manish's attitude, he made us feel really special guests.

I recently had a lovely stay with family and the location, rooms and service are of a really high quality. It’s quite busy in Mauritius and this was a calm oasis away from the hustle and bustle. It’s a 5 minute walk to the beach, has amazing views from the rooftop bar and restaurant and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I would stay again.

Worst experience ever! Fist of all, the location of the hotel is near the road. So, this caused us a lot of troubles to sleep at night. The service was not that good. Some staffs were slow at serving people and to note that there was not even a lot of customers. They do not have a variety of food and the food was not that tasty as well. They have buffets only on Thursdays and Saturdays. So, on Sunday, there was only a la carte and no buffet. Again, no options and the food tasted bad. It was not worth the money at all.
By the time i decided to report to the manager, I did not see him and my taxi had already arrived. So, i had to go that is why i chose to write a review here. Also, none of my friends were pregnant because i came with only one person. You are confusing me with another group. I would advice for the management to improve in their service and even if there is no variety of food, at least make the food you provide tasty. Otherwise the room, the interior decor , the rooftop, and the view was very good.

Upon our check-in, we were well welcome by the reception team and the also the drinks were very good. The room was very cosy and lovely, the view from the pool and restaurant was splendid !! Everyone was very friendly and food was very delicious.
Special thanks to mohes barman, navin porter, manish waiter and suraj who made our stay a memorable one !! We will definitely come back.🫶

A terrible experience, nothing like what we expected, food poisoning from the buffet breakfast absolutely basic..this is just the beginning..mini bar wasn’t cold for meds, bathroom extractor fan on all night not able to turn off, light electrical’s couldn’t figure out, TV on dark mode could watch.
But truly not expectable when brown water runs out of the bath, shower and basins. Lifts out of use and this hotel needs updating and not a see view at all.
Not recommended no wonder I was ill this water was probably used to wash vegetables for buffet/lunch/dinner.

We had a more than excellent stay at the hotel. At our arrival, we were warmly greeted by the front office manager who toured us around the hotel and explained us every important detail. All staff members who came across us had a smile on their face and this is where I would give a good 5/5 for the hospitality served.
HIGHLIGHT: THE MANZU RESTAURANT - Japanese restaurant. We had our family dinner at the Manzu and Chef Wayan left us overly surprised by his outstanding performance and excellent cooking skills. It is a one of a kind experience which i highly recommend - live cooking show with the kind Chef Wayan and the service was TOP NOTCH IN CAPITAL LETTERS. We had chicken, prawns, calamari, meat, grilled vegetables, last but not the least, an excellent dessert, all freshly prepared, live in front of us. I give a solid 5/5 for this outstanding experience. My family and I were served like in a 5 star property, not even exaggerating.
The next morning, we had breakfast on the roof top restaurant. I wanted to highlight that I was amazed to specially see the variety of eggs prepared for breakfast - with spinach, smoked salmon, buns - all special dishes. Again, this is where this hotel marks a higher note compared to other hotels which offer basic omelettes for breakfast.
Lunch was basic - served à la carte and we are very grateful to the chef who prepared fish masala curry for us.
We were on the AI package and we were generously served throughout our stay.
We were honestly a bit skeptical at our arrival as the hotel is different, i would say unique in its own way. Different because it is not the usual tropical hotel long the beach side but rest assured that the beach is just 5 minutes away from the hotel and you even get your beach towels at the reception.
Nevertheless, I give a 4/5 for the rooms ( we booked two rooms) and this is a very constructive feedback - the rooms are, unfortunately, not “sound proof” which can be quite disturbing if you want a sound sleep - as the property is situated on the main road. It can be invasive also as you might hear from your neighbour rooms as well. This is the only “drawback” if I may call it so.
To end with, I want to extend my warmest regards and a big THANK YOU to the whole team of OCEAN V HOTEL - managers, staff members, cleaning staff members, the interns - everyone who positively contributed to our stay.
Its a 5/5 and we HIGHLY RECOMMEND this property.

I would like to highlight the entire staff of this wonderful hotel. A very warm and pleasant welcome upon arrival at the hotel after a long journey. They have two wonderful restaurants, where all the waiters are also trained to make us feel as if we were served in a 5-star hotel. The rooms were cleaned regularly in the morning and also every day in the evening, they asked if we needed anything to be replaced or cleaned. Regarding the location, it is located near a small public beach and nice restaurants, as well as a large market. Also, all other larger and well-known beaches are very close. I warmly recommend everyone to stay at this hotel when coming to Mauritius.

I recently stayed at Ocean V and had an overall wonderful experience. The service was impeccable, with friendly and attentive staff who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The amenities were top-notch, and the rooms were clean and well-maintained.
However, I couldn't help but feel a sense of sadness when I saw how the security guards were stationed outside. They were sitting under a tree, with only a table to write entries of vehicles. It was disheartening to see them exposed to the elements without any shelter to protect them from the harsh wind, sun, or rain.
It would be a significant improvement if the hotel provided an outdoor kiosk or some form of shelter for the security guards. This would allow them to do their job comfortably and effectively. The current setup makes it seem like their well-being isn't valued by the organization, which is quite unfortunate.
Despite this, my stay at Ocean V was enjoyable, and I hope the management takes note of this issue and makes the necessary improvements.
