Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur

This was our second stay this year. We loved it so much the first time, we didn’t hesitate to book again. Excellent service from all the staff we encountered. We were made to feel very welcome by the attentive staff. In particular, Zie and her team at the Horizon Club Lounge made us feel like we were at home. We will definitely be staying here again!

Simply outstanding. From the moment you pull up you are greeted & assisted. Throughout our entire stay that same hospitality was incredible.
A beautiful establishment with outstanding amenities.
House keeping staff, front of house staff, lobby atmosphere…. All part of the beautiful culture & service.

We have thoroughly enjoyed our 6 nights here at the Shangri La KL....from the Buffet Breakfast to the Lemon Garden Lounge and the all over feel of the hotel was outstanding, BUT what made our stay even more AMAZING was the STAFF!!!!! They are the most welcoming and friendliest people we have come across on our travels, so to ALL the staff in all areas of the hotel we would like to say a big THANK YOU ❤️ for making our stay in KL a trip to remember.

Atmosphere & service:
The only reason why I would choose to stay here is the service provided by staff. It feels like being apart of a family. The service provided by them are amazing. From entering to check in to check out, everyone is really nice and welcoming including housekeepers. The location is strategic since it is in the city making it easier to explore around it.

Room & food & price :
The price of room is reasonable and worth it. Requested a smoking room and they delivered. There are many restaurants inside the hotel making us to not leave the hotel and keep hanging out in the lounge. The food are amazing as the portion are huge and delicious. I think I would come back for the food only.

Conclusion:great place for families who wants to relax and enjoy their facilities. Love that they cater activities for kids to ensure everyone had a good time together.

Stayed for 2 nights in the family room, my kids absolutely enjoyed the tent. The breakfast buffet had extensive choices- the ice cream and pastries section was our favourite. Ordered in room dining for both nights, as well as had lunch in the lobby for both days- highly recommend the beef burger and the kids’ macaroni & cheese. We came for my child’s first birthday and was given a complementary chocolate cake. I requested for extra coffee capsules and mineral water the first day and the staff was generous with it, even received extra the second day. Overall a pleasant stay, great services and warm hospitality from everyone everywhere.

Arrived quite late on night 1 as we had switch hotels from the Hilton which had horrible rooms but were treated to an upgrade on arrival (thanks team).

The room was absolutely fantastic (executive), albeit had a tinge of cigarette smell. Seems the carpets have retained their smell or the smoking room ventilation is shared with non-smoking rooms.

Buffet breakfast selection was incredible.

The hotel is conveniently located near the major attractions in the area. Most were within walking distance.

I like this place to be the best, you can bring your family and children and couples, this place can reminisce about the past for those who are interested in healing, you can sit on a recliner by the beach, relieve stress, take a bath with couples, watch a big TV while taking a shower. Don't worry about the spacious room feeling like you don't want to leave the cold room satisfied, if you have to be the boss in the room, feel good about yourself. I honestly love this place. If you want to drink, don't worry if it's cheap and reasonable, you'll be satisfied with a lot of rice like you can eat for 2 people. All the rooms are spacious, there is a lobby, a meeting place and a place to rest. The beautiful, young and durable waitress likes a mature smile and is friendly and polite. Car parking is easy, there are many tall buildings that can be seen here again at night with the bright lights of the sultan's holiday.

Booked our stay through Luxury Escapes and very much enjoyed the 3 nights we stayed there.

Pros: the breakfast was fantastic and there was a great spread of food.
- the room was very comfortable.
- a good location and an enjoyable walk to major shopping centres.
- very prestigious feel to the hotel

Cons: We had to inform the clerk at the front desk that we had bonus inclusions as part of our package (room upgrade, welcome drink etc) as it didn't appear on the hotel's end. However, we were upgraded easily and without fuss when he realised.
- the lady running the lounge area seemed quite rude and offended that we were receiving a free (non-alcoholic) drink. She made a big fuss of it which was weird.

Despite the negatives it was a great stay and I would definitely stay again if I ever find myself in KL.
