Located on one of the best beaches of Phuket – Mai Khao. Great atmosphere for a relaxing stay. Recommend to all types of tourists.

Location: on the beach of Mai Khao, in the Northwest of Phuket, 15 km from airport, 52 km from the Central part of Patong.
Consists of two 4-storey buildings and twenty-six 1-storey villas.
The hotel has 180 rooms.
Total area: 38 000 m2.
Beach: private sandy beach and adjacent to the public beach 50 m away, the first coastal line. Umbrellas, sunbeds, mattresses, towels – free of charge.

The hotel is probably one of the most beautiful and with good structure that I’ve ever been in.
The cleaning of the rooms is ridiculously good, and very cautious. The gym is extraordinary good and the beach and pool are beautiful and staff are very kind.
The reason why I think the most suitable rating is 4/5 is that besides the hotel being a 5/5 the restaurants had very bad service my family had to wait one hour just to get appetisers, multiple times and in general the service was very bad, even sometimes the food was missing something but anyways.
I would like to mention the employee Catarina, the most preoccupied person ever besides the food taking so long and everything going bad she always tried to help and make us have a more enjoyable experience. A really good employee and deserves mentioning.

30 mins ride from Phuket airport but location are quite remote, only a few other hotel nearby. But overall atmosphere are chill and relaxing. Kids friendly hotel with a Kids Centre and Kids Pool.
PROs:
- Spacious room, although hardware is not being maintained very well but relaxing enough with decent balcony.
- Good pest control, not being bothered by flies or mosquito during the trip.
- Enjoyed the pool very much as it is not very crowded. Staff are helpful enough to prepare the sunbed with towels for you.
- Breakfast are nice, especially they got a fresh juice station which you can mix and match your juice on-site.
- With free shuttle bus to the nearby small shopping centre, you can get your supplies there or eat there.
CONs:
- Ordered half board meal plan, not recommended as food quality are not impressive, portion is too big as well (3 course per person per day)
- Hotel area are not that big, cannot compare that to the JW Marriot next door
Overall is a relaxing hotel but better plans your meal ahead as food option there is not impressive.

Disappointed by Restrictions on Smokers
I chose this hotel for a relaxing holiday, hoping to enjoy a cigar and a drink, but it turned out to be a frustrating experience. Despite being in the designated smoking area, I was told not to smoke my cigar— hey this is just tobacco like any other cigarettes, nothing else! In a country that has legalized marijuana, I found it baffling and deeply disappointing that I couldn’t smoke a cigar in a space specifically meant for smokers.
I only smoke cigars while on holiday to unwind, and this policy left me feeling anxious and unwelcome. Instead of relaxing, I felt judged and discriminated against for simply enjoying something as traditional as a cigar.
To be fair, the staff here is incredible—friendly, professional, and truly excellent at their jobs. However, that couldn’t outweigh the restrictive rules that made it impossible for me to enjoy my stay.
If you’re a smoker, particularly a cigar enthusiast, I recommend avoiding this hotel entirely. Consider Caribbean destinations instead, where you can truly relax and indulge without unnecessary restrictions.

One of the best resort hotels we've ever stayed in. Rooms were luxurious, staff were exceedingly kind, and breakfast was to die for. Our spa experience with Mew and (I can't remember her colleague's name, so sorry) was spectacular.

This is the second time we stayed at Renaissance Resort & Spa.
I was asked in marriage here 3 year ago.
My husband and the staff prepared an unforgettable dinner front beach!
The hotel is amazing with impeccably clean rooms.
Breakfast exceptionally good and tasty, served until 11am for late sleepers! At the restaurant, food great too, with a charming view to the sea.
Thanks to V. Pacheco and all the other staff we had a great family time.
Kids (and parentes) are incredibly happy with the kids club, grateful for all activities and experiences they provide to the kids.
We highly recommend it to anyone seeking for relaxing vacations with kids! Yes it’s possible! 🤩

First of all, thanks to Mr.Edman the former Gerneral Manager, regarding the vouchers and this opportunity to stay at this wonderful resort.
Our delux room that we stayed in, was very confy and clean.
The SandBar was great. The service was fantastic and the staff was nice.
At the Spa, they allow us to take pictures there as well.
Morning Breakfast at Loca. wide variety selection of food and was very delicious, but also as a coffee lover, the coffee was just fantastic.
I recognise that this place has recycled the coffee machines and coffee tastes really great.
Unfortunately, i haven't met k. Stephan, probably he had a day off.

Amazing resort with very good service. Food at the resort is top notch everywhere including the breakfast, the cocktails at the pool side restaurant, the pizza and the Thai food. The property is large and open with lots of areas to walk around. The beach is right across a think strip of grass from the resort and very peaceful. the beach is a bit steep and not great for going into the water but quite clean and nice. overall highly recommended.

Came back for the third time and will be back again - for me, the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Lots of hotels have great rooms, great location, nice beaches but I’ve never stayed at any hotel where the service was as outstanding as here. Everyone really does their best to make the stay memorable and convenient, the staff is kind and proactive, making us feel truly welcome. Thank you for the great experience!

We initially booked three nights here, but after our first day, we were so enamored with this hotel that we decided to extend our stay. It truly became our perfect oasis for unwinding and relaxation. The hotel is stunning, with spacious, impeccably clean rooms. The highlight for us was the breakfast – prepared by amazing chefs, the food was incredibly tasty and of exceptional quality. The restaurant's view added to the charm, offering a tranquil and beautiful dining experience.

We love this hotel, service is impeccable, food is delicious, beautiful architecture, the gardens and ponds are pleasant, great ocean front pool, and finally excellent breakfast buffet. The staff deserves 6 stars, they are the best. We highly recommend.
