18 Coins Cafe & Hostel

I have been coming to this hotel for over 3 ½ years. During that time, I’ve made wonderful friends here, and I’ve always appreciated how most of the staff are warm, welcoming, and attentive — they smile, remember my name, and make me feel at home.

Unfortunately, on my most recent visit I experienced something very disappointing. One staff member treated both me and my fiancée with open hostility. When I greeted her politely, she responded with a scowl and shouted at me. She also swore at us and told me my fiancée was not allowed at the hotel. This was shocking and upsetting, as I’ve never been treated this way in Thailand before.

It’s a shame, because the rest of the team is excellent. However, one person’s behavior can be enough to ruin the experience for guests. I truly hope management addresses this, because otherwise this is a great place to stay.

I have lost my gear S3 watch during staying there. Pay attention to ur own value goods, guys!

Very loud music near hotel. Door from balcony not closing, can hear entire street. Couldn't sleep.

Not to be trusted beyond a short stay. If you plan on booking this place, do it online and have your receipt printed out and with you.

The price will change from month to month and from one employee to the next. The front desk staff and manager are more interested in getting a little extra to pocket on the side.

I've been coming to Thailand since 2017 and can't recommend this place. There are much better choices for the money. Too much drama with the front desk staff and too many changing prices from person to person.

All the nice, friendly, long term tenants have left and now it's loud, heavy drinking tourists.
