Reviews
We really enjoyed our stay at the Ramada Plaza Antalya. The hotel is lovely, and the staff were consistently friendly and helpful throughout our visit.
A special mention and 5 stars go to the Customer Relations gentleman (unfortunately I didn’t catch his name), who went above and beyond to help me through a really upsetting experience with a local dentist. He was kind, professional, and a real asset to the hotel—thank you so much!
While the hotel may not quite match a UK 5-star standard, it offered great value for money. The public areas were spotless, and our room was clean and well-maintained.
Food was a big highlight. Everything was fresh, and there was a wide variety of dishes each day—plenty of meat, fish, vegetarian, and vegan options, along with a huge salad bar. I’m quite fussy with food, but honestly couldn’t fault it. Yes, it can feel a little repetitive, but that’s typical of many all-inclusive stays. We dined out a few evenings but were still impressed overall.
Now, on to the all-inclusive drinks—this was a bit of a letdown. Branded drinks weren’t included, which felt disappointing and again, not quite 5-star. The cocktails were overly sweet and artificial-tasting, and sugar-free mixer options were limited to just Coke Zero, making the drink selection too sugary for my taste. That said, bottled water was always available on request, which was appreciated 🥰.
My biggest gripe was the spa pricing—unfortunately, it was just far too expensive for what it was, which meant I didn't visit as often as I would have liked.
The pool area was beautiful, although the sun loungers were cheap and uncomfortable, with some in need of replacement. However, the decked platforms that lead directly into the sea were a standout feature—perfect for a swim out to the pontoons.
Entertainment during the day was a bit lacklustre, and the evening shows were a mixed bag—some enjoyable, others forgettable. But the hotel’s location is brilliant—just a 10-minute walk to the buzzing Old Town, which we absolutely loved. There are also plenty of shops nearby if you’re in the mood for a browse.
Overall, I really liked this hotel. It’s not perfect, but it delivers great value, warm hospitality, and a memorable holiday experience. Would definitely return!
The reception staff at check-in were not very welcoming, which gave a poor first impression.
We booked a side sea view room and were placed on the 3rd floor, but only a small part of the sea was visible. On the plus side, we got to experience more of the local life—don’t forget to wave at Uncle Ahmet! If you do choose this hotel, definitely request a higher floor to enjoy a better sea view and a bit more privacy.
Some of the food was tasty, but the variety was limited and became repetitive after a few days. The ice cream was unfortunately very poor.
Even though we had booked a room for two guests, the hotel did not register it that way, and the second guest was forced to pay an extra fee just to stay in the room. After reading other reviews, we saw that this exact issue had happened to other guests as well – clearly not an isolated case.
We asked to switch from all-inclusive to half board, hoping for flexibility. Instead, we were told, flatly and without reason, that it was not possible.
The cleanliness was unacceptable. The room was not properly cleaned when we arrived, and housekeeping during the stay was inconsistent at best. On some days, no one came at all, despite the “please clean” sign being on the door since 7 AM. When they did show up, they threw away personal papers left on the table– clearly not trash.
The staff barely spoke English, which made dealing with even basic issues difficult – especially when it came to communicating food allergies. We asked for an extra blanket and received a thin sheet. One day the toilet got clogged, and we had to go to reception three times before anyone came to fix it.
The restaurant was disorganized: drinks were often unavailable or wrong, cutlery was missing, and we constantly had to chase down staff just to get what should have already been there. Meals were just “okay” at best – but breakfast was exactly the same for all six days, and if you don’t eat fish or are vegan, you’ll quickly grow tired of repetitive chicken and turkey dishes.
To make things worse, the airport transfer provided by the hotel was more than double the cost of an Uber, which feels like an intentional rip-off rather than a convenience.
At checkout, we were handed an incorrect invoice, listing a much lower total than what we had paid. When we asked for clarification, the staff was passive-aggressive and unprofessional, acting bothered rather than simply explaining the discrepancy.
The only things this hotel has going for it are the nice sea view, the uncrowded private beach and pool, and a decent gym (by hotel standards). Unfortunately, none of that makes up for the lack of organization, poor service, or the staff’s arrogant and indifferent attitude.
Worst of all? We’re not alone. After reading more reviews, it’s clear that these same problems happen over and over – and nothing is being done to address them.
Avoid this hotel if you care about your time, your wallet, or your sanity.
