Istanbul Gonen Hotel

This hotel is used by Turkish Airlines for their “VIPs” when they have delayed flights and have to put them up overnight. Which is how I found myself here.

This place is no where near five star. The rooms were horrifically dirty. The first room they put me in didn’t have curtains! The second room was not nearly as dirty but still definitely hasn’t had a carpet clean in years. The shower head was so clogged with mildew barely any water came up.

The food on offer is okay. Location wise there is a mall next door.

But honestly if you’re expecting luxury or a 5 star experience avoid this place at all costs. It reminds me of a regular 3 star hotel in the US.

Very bad service, ver bad staff, very bad rules, The worst hotel I’m the world, they have thier own rules, we had been all around the world but thier rules made by thier own and not world wide, worst staff, they will not copreate with you, if you want to enjoy your vacation don’t reserve this hotel you will be regret. "This is my second day staying here, and I placed my laundry at the front office this morning as instructed by the receptionist. However, when I went to pick it up in the evening, the same front office staff said that my dirty laundry was not taken by the laundry service. How could this happen??? I am very disappointed with my first experience staying here, especially since I traveled a long way from Indonesia. Additionally, the receptionist was very unfriendly and had a bad attitude towards guests. This is a bad history for me. The first and maybe the last time I'll stay here."

The rudest front desk staff I have ever seen. They just don’t care. On my second day of staying when I asked for my laundry they told that nothing is free and you have to come down, pay and then take. I asked to send me the bill, but they replied in the rudest manner. When I went to the front desk and asked to see the manager or supervisor, the lady told me she doesn’t care.
Also the room ac was not working properly.
I stayed for 4 nights, June 3-6. And that is the bitter experience I had.

Stay here for few nights, lobby is GREAT, Starbucks included in Lobby, but room was OLD, dirty with lack of maintenance, towel isn’t call towel, bathroom really BAD, the maintenance guy didn’t do the job properly

As OLD HOTEL, need a GOOD MAINTENANCE team to make sure everything is proper, not like this hotel!.

Bathroom floor sticky like power glue or previous guess was drinking sugar but no one clean it!.

For restaurant, asking for RICE, just simple food, aren’t READY at all, you can’t imagine this happened with such a hotel call 5 star?!

Please improve or, people will not come to here!.

This hotel is definitely not a 5 star. I would give it zero if I could. The room I was in was not finished to a 5 star standard .
With bits missing around the toilet and the shower was absolutely disgusting.
They keep the beds rapped up in plastic and store in the backyard with other furniture.
Which was supposed to be my city view.
So, probably have all sorts crawling in them
It's very overpriced they want to charge you £6.50 for a small bottle of local beer when you can purchase it in a shop for £0.60.
They charge £2.00 for a out of date snack that's in your mini bar when they are only £0.10in the garage up the road
My partner went to the spar and sauna as she was getting changed. A male staff member walked in.
When I complained about the fact a male staff member had gone into the ladies' changing room, they didn't care.
They have a scanner at the entrance to stop you from bringing in any drinks or snacks, which includes water.
Overall its overpriced very dirty hotel that smells of sewer drains.
Other guests told me their rooms were no better.
And the smell of what seems to be sewage is overwhelming.

The level of service was clearly declining. The lobby employee did not have a good level of professionalism, skill, and communication. She was rude. The buffet did not have a good level of variety and did not have any taste.. Generally uncomfortable
