It's all about service here, we have never experienced something similar. The hotel by itself is very luxurious, the design, the lobby, rooms. Rooms are very spacious and nicely furnished, we had a nice park view

The location of the hotel is good and in close proximity of a lot of tourist places as well as supermarkets, pharmacies, etc

The rooms are okay but it really depends on where you're coming from and what you're accustomed to as every country has a different standard of what a 5 star hotel is like

) Facilities: ? I only came for 1 night so it isn’t fair to rate the facilities. Service: 12/15 Just a typical mid service. Not much good and not much bad. Food: 7/10 I’ve had a lot of terrible food in Turkey

Out of my 16 meals in Turkey, 1 was from here and it was not good just like the others. (Only 1 was good out of 16) There were quite limited options and the food is a mid taste

There should be more meat in a 5 star hotel. Location: 8/10 Pretty far from the airport and not much noteworthy details or things. There’s a mall near the hotel but no money exchange

The cleanliness is also just okay, not 5-star level. (Also the bathroom is high and not suitable for all, and theres no shower place other than the bathtub

Since there was a long transfer, Turkish Airlines settled in this hotel for free. Clean, tidy have Starbacks in the lobby.

I have experienced a lot of S-H-I-T in Izmir, especially with my 3-star hotel experience so I thought that this 5 star hotel would be a 4-star experience

The hotel itself is also so lovely - the rooms were super luxurious, the lobby is gorgeous and smells heavenly, and the restaurant on the roof has the best view in Istanbul! Would absolutely come back here again!

A hotel with a very good location, clean, and comfortable. We have been choosing it as a family for our trips to Istanbul for 3 years.

That said, gym is good, beds are GREAT, breakfast is expansive and some is quite good (it’s included), some staff is great (bellman Muhammet was fantastic)

I will likely try other hotels next time in Istanbul and am surprised they’ve won the awards they have, it still a “quite good” (passable) experience

The location is where every tourist would want to stay. It is right in the Taksim circle where all the action is. Metro is right across the street, and the taxis were always waiting/passing by on the street

The pool and the spa were great. We didn’t spend a lot of time there, but the time we went it wasn’t busy. Other reviews complained about the noise, we didn’t hear any street noise from the room

The restaurant staff and the cleaning service were amazing as well. There were options for every taste. There were some rotating options. We never felt the need to go out and eat for breakfast

My wife and I stayed at The Marmara Taksim for 6 nights in a Deluxe City View room. We absolutely enjoyed our stay. The room size was decent, clean, and the view of the city was spectacular

Turkish airlines transit hotel. Solid, good breakfast and lunch, clean, large rooms. The truth is far from the center, the nearest shopping center is 15 minutes walk along the highway

Stayed there as part of the stop over Turkish airlines, and the places did not disappoint. The room was clean, luxurious. The bathroom had all the amenities, and the breakfast was a buffet full of all kinds of food

It's a very nice hotel. A lot was going on when we were there so police present was everywhere. Fitness center was big and had alot of equipment. Pool was also very large.

Of note- the website lists a shuttle from the airport but this is not exactly accurate (at least from a US perspective), from the airport you travel via public bus to the square a block away, I don’t remember the exact price but I believe it was less than 200 TRY

The only down side I found was the location- it is close to public transit and has plenty of taxis, but actual walkability is low (not really the hotel’s fault) but if you’re staying in a 5 star hotel you probably aren’t planning to walk all over Istanbul

Even İstanbul dont have a city centre, we can considers its in the main part and have easy transportation options to almost everywhere. Hotel serves insanely good breakfasts however parking lot is expensive

Everything is perfectly luxurious, the rooms the alleys and staff! I recommend for a perfectly restful vacation or business trip. Breakfast could be improved with some local sweets and better choice cold drinks..

I like the breakfast it was very good but I would consider it a back point of not having chicken when you have international guests. They have to understand and adapt to the presence and behaviour of international guests

Location is not bad, of course if wanting to go into main Istanbul town you'll need taxi, best to book an Uber or something as I heard that the local taxis floating around that area coming from a 5* hotel will charge you like €50 for a 20-30 minute taxi journey
