AC Hotel by Marriott Miami Airport West/Doral

There’s one particular receptionist that sucks!. She made me sleep in my car because I had no card present.. apparently having a card on. File does not count and it has to be present… fine so I showed up for a second try and I kid you not this same woman made me cancel because of hate ice cold attitude. I still had no physical card but apparently apple pay is ok .. so .. sleeping in my car could have been avoided… this time though she tries to charge me for parking…. How’s that for service? .. don’t stay …not friendly.

AC Hotel is a stark, minimalistic, dark hotel decorated in depressing colors of black, gray, and brown. Guests are greeted by weird spikes at the lobby entrance. One wonders how the design and decor were even approved. The mattresses are uncomfortable; the seating is miserable. The A/C roared loudly. I had to request that my room be serviced (they only service every other day but did not touch mine on the second day). If the room has two queen beds, one bed is so close to a wall that a person cannot walk beside the bed on that side. My request for a decent office-type chair (nothing fancy, just a little support) to use in my room was refused and I was directed to a tiny, cramped room with one long wall completely open to the public hallway. This shallow room had two tiny tables each with four tiny chairs. I needed quiet to study, not a cramped room open to the public. There are many choices for hotels in Miami. I'd advise choosing something else unless depressing decor and uncomfortable seating are your thing.
