Holiday Inn Express Airport-Blue Lagoon Area, an IHG Hotel

The hotel is clean and the bed is comfortable. However the facilities are outdated, such as the slipping in door key, inserting coins for laundry and the slow- flowing from the shower. The worst part was the breakfast, not only no change for the two days we stayed but also tasted worst than the holiday inn express that I stayed a few days ago in Tampa

Unfortunately the stay wasn't very pleasent. I arrived dead tired after a loooong day of flying and got room key cards which weren't working so I had to go back down to reception. The restaurant wasn't available due to renovations. They should mention this on their website. They offered shuttle service to grab food but if you are tired, the last thing on your mind is to go grab food. I ordered a Pizza from one of the flyers they had but got the wrong Pizza and it wasn't great. What bothered me most was the clientel in the hotel. There was a creepy guy handing out flyers on my room floor which is not cool. The couple in the room next to me had a nasty, abusive fight in the morning. So even if the room was good I am only giving one star for Service.

Location:
The hotel is conveniently located near the airport, but it actually takes a 20-minute detour by car to get there. It's not easy to find because they changed their name to Holiday Inn Express without any clear notification.

Breakfast:
The breakfast area was under renovation, so breakfast had to be taken in the lobby area between 7:00 AM and 11:00 AM on the first day, then it changed to 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM without any notice. The breakfast options were limited: eggs, steak-like items that resembled cardboard, milk cartons, juice, coffee, and bread.

Dining Options:
There are no dining options at the hotel. You have to take an Uber or use Uber Eats to get food, as there are no nearby restaurants, just other hotels. The ongoing renovations meant no restaurant or bar was available on-site.

Rooms:
The rooms are spacious and I loved the sitting area. There are two TVs in the room, and the bathroom is perfect. However, like many American hotels, there were no toothbrush options and no hand showers.

Staff:
The staff were very professional and kind. I appreciated not having to present a credit card since everything was paid online.

Wi-Fi:
The Wi-Fi was good, but you have to re-enter the code every day.

Overall, the Cambria Hotel (now Holiday Inn Express) has its advantages, especially with room size and staff professionalism, but there are significant inconveniences due to the renovations and lack of dining options.
