Holiday Inn Express Miami Airport-Blue Lagoon Area, an IHG Hotel

Probably the worst night sleep I’ve ever gotten. Only hotel in Miami me and a small other group were able to select at 1AM near the airport after a cancelled flight. The hotel is going through renovations and the lobby is more like a hard hat area. The rooms are decently sized but not even a water in the mini fridge. After going to sleep at 3am, we were awaken by hammering, drilling, loud movement at around 7 am (possibly earlier) from above. That noise continued all day. We asked to stay later due to a late night flight but were asked to pay $75’ for an extra hour. Great customer service. If there are other options, do so and maybe save this as a last resort.

I always stay at choice hotel properties I have found them very accommodating.
So I chose this hotel on our trip to Miami and did not realize that they were under construction. The place is a mess at least the front desk staff are friendly and stuff but the $25 per person for a crummy breakfast is way out of hand
We finally ended up ordering off of DoorDash that cost less money than they wanted for that crummy breakfast.
The rooms are adequate but they need to be updated. The furniture is old and uncomfortable but the bed is nice and the sheets are clean.
We stayed there two different times once before our cruise and once after the cruise And the showers worked fine in one room and not the other.
The construction that was going on was noisy all day long and the people working on the construction were blocking the halls so you couldn’t get by I would definitely look for a different hotel when I go back to Miami because these people all they want is money and they’re changing from a choice brand hotel to Holiday Inn

Nice hotel great place. BUT on our way to airport hungry. We went down for breakfast. Girl brought us menus finally. Didn't ask what we would like to drink. She served someone their breakfast. Then instead of coming to serve us. She decided to clean a table. On our way to get something to eat. The staff at desk was nice at checking shuttle. Is good as well. They even suggested a Cuban place to eat.
