I recently stayed at the Thompson Hotel Nashville, expecting a high level of service, but unfortunately, my experience was incredibly disappointing.

From the very beginning, the staff failed to meet basic hospitality standards. A bellman on the elevator was particularly rude—rather than holding the elevator and letting me enter first as a guest, he rudely rolled in his cart and didn’t even bother to keep the door open for me. This lack of courtesy set the tone for the stay.

The morning front desk staff was no better. They were unwelcoming, cold, and gave the impression that guests were an inconvenience rather than a priority.

The final blow came during dinner at the hotel’s restaurant. I ordered a Caesar salad with chicken, only to find the chicken was completely raw. This is unacceptable for any restaurant, let alone one at a supposedly upscale hotel. To make matters worse, neither the manager nor the chef bothered to come and apologize for this serious error. The lack of accountability was astounding.

Overall, I was deeply disappointed by the lack of professionalism, care, and hospitality during my stay. For the price and reputation, I expected far better. I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone and hope they take steps to improve their service standards immediately.

If you like a frat house feel at night this is your place. All restaurants and bars open to the public and the rooftop bar must be popular. Enjoy riding up and down the elevator with loud obnoxious drunk people going to and from rooftop bar. Rooms so so as well. Will not be back.
