Spacious and comfortable room, great location in front of Union Square. We booked a queen room and got an upgrade to the king room for free!

Very good location and aspects of the service were good. The lobby area, whilst nice and floral, is confusing as to where the check in/out counters are. Enter from the main entrance and you'll realise there are two lines, which over the 4 nights I was there I saw caused lots of frustration with guests. Once at the desk, service was above average.
Rooms are ageing but otherwise clean and well maintained. Speedy room service albeit more expensive than usual. Lifts can be crowded at times.
Location is superb and if you're looking for shopping, Union Square and surrounding areas will give you what you need. Overall, an average to above average hotel with location being its most redeeming feature.

What an awesome hotel. Would give it a 10 if I could. THE place to stay in SF… worth every penny. Clean and staff is super friendly. The cafe has an excellent selection and very convenient if you have hote credits to spend.

Right in the centre of town so you expect to pay the big bucks (even if SFO is in a bit of a slump) but to be fair, it really is a great location. The hotel is super spacious it has a good energy; it's busy but in a joyous kinda way. The rooms are good and the staff were able to take care of everything I asked for. Sometimes the service was a little ropey, either slow or staff members appeared confused or irritated by requests; they offered a bunch of added extras (free drink, free cable car ride etc) when I checked in but the staff seemed kinda grumpy when I actually followed up. Nonetheless I had a good time, and side note - don't fall for the chatter, SFO still has a lot to offer!

I had an Exceptional Experience thanks to the Excellent Customer Service provided by Elaine at the Front Desk! My room was extraordinary! It had a view of Union Square! It was so perfect that I didn't want to leave. I did though! I took the Trolley (Easy to get on right in Front of the Westin at the Corner) to Fisherman's Wharf, and the Train at Union Square to the Giants game! I definitely recommend The Westin St. Francis San Francisco on Union Square.

Beautiful hotel with great service! We were in a junior suite on the union square side and it was absolutely gorgeous. The service was great and room service was fast. The cafe downstairs also serves delicious pasta (much to my surprise!) Definitely will be back. The pricing is comparable to the Hilton but this hotel is much much better in my opinion

Great amenities (bar room, restaurant, gym). Food is fantastic. The basic, two bed store I started in was definitely clean, though there was nothing special about it. The renovated North tower is AMAZING. They need to renovate South one as well. Location is also very good, centralized and easy to access.

Our stay has been wonderful. The hotel has beautiful details all around. The flowers smell fantastic as well as look pretty. The Clock Bar opens at 4pm and the staff is friendly. They also have a coffee shop and small bar in the main lobby area where the staff is excellent. The doormen, front desk, and concierge desk have all been extremely helpful in answering any of our questions. We had our housekeeping service set to every 3rd day, which is good if you don't want many interruptions during your stay.

This hotel was very nice. The architecture was really cool. Part of this hotel was old school and then the other part was renovated. The placement of this hotel is what was awesome. So close to so much downtown. The staff was good. Be prepared for long check in process some time because of how busy it can be. Overall a great place to stay.

Stayed here for business. Great rooms, great location being right next to Union Square so close to various shopping venues as well as restaurant choices of all price categories all around. Staff was very helpful and provided kettle and microwave upon asking. Great views from the elevators (see photo) you can experience even if you don't get a room with a view of the square.
