I came to the hotel specifically for the spa. The hotel itself is beautiful and the right level of attentive: someone is there to help you but not always in your face. The food and drinks in The Lounge were great.
The spa was beyond fantastic. You definitely get what you pay for; beginning with the relaxation room through the massage experience. Betania at the front desk was welcoming and so sweet. My massage was with Dwayne. I couldn't have asked for a better massage. I hope to return!

The hotel is great but the staff is even better. Linda Ramirez went above and beyond to help me solve a last minute work problem that I had at 1130 pm. She took so much time and care helping me through my issue making me feel more at ease providing me with various solutions to my problem - for example she was helping me in the business center with printing and she even laminated papers for me - it all turned out great and I am SO thankful for her. She is incredible, such a hard worker, and so dedicated to making every guest feel important and a priority. Thanks Linda!!

This is a great place to stay when you want to get away and have a luxury hotel experience. It's also a great place to celebrate your birthday or special event. I enjoyed the food and drinks at The Lounge. The king deluxe room has a relaxing and comfortable bathroom with soak-in tub and separate shower. I liked the scents of the hand soap, shower gel and lotion. The room was surprisingly spacious more than it appeared in pictures on the hotel website. The bed was very comfortable. I fell asleep instantly after laying down on it. I stayed one night. The next morning, I ordered breakfast via Room Service. It was delicious. The tea pot kept the water hot for over two hours. All hotel staff were friendly, helpful, informative and accommodating. The hotel is near The Wharf.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Salamander Hotel, and I must say it was an exceptional experience. The amenities at the Salamander Hotel were also top-notch. The fitness center was well-equipped, allowing me to maintain my workout routine even while traveling. Additionally, the spa provided a perfect way to unwind and relax after a day of exploring the city.

Overall, my stay at the Salamander Hotel was nothing short of exceptional. The combination of luxurious accommodations, attentive staff, and remarkable dining options made for a truly memorable experience. I can confidently say that I'll be returning to the Salamander Hotel the next time I'm in town.

Extremely welcoming and cordial staff. Our room had a beautiful view of the Wharf (great night life, many restaurants and 5-10 minute walk from the hotel. Hotel has a complementary jitney that will drop you off at places within a small radius that includes the Wharf, museums, Washington Monument, the Capital. If you enjoy walking, many, many attractions are within walking distance of the hotel. Be aware that the hotel has limited dining options. There is a breakfast restaurant open until noon and a lobby lounge. Complementary coffee is served in the lobby in the morning.

This hotel was such an amazing experience. The hotel was a quick trip from the main station and is so conveniently located. You are perfectly nestled in a picturesque roundabout in D.C., placed evenly between the National Mall and the Wharf. The lobby is spectacular, the staff are super accommodating and the rooms are incredibly CLEAN. Definitely, take advantage of the view from the garden after grabbing a cocktail at the bar or in the visitors lounge. Afterwards, you can use the concierge to setup a perfect day or check out the spa or gym. Finally, you must try the Asian Fusion restaurant, it is a MUST. Definitely worth staying.

Stayed here for a conference and I must say it was amazing. Modern room and very clean. Staff was friendly and easy to deal with. Food and drinks were decent and reasonably priced for the area. This is one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in and would highly recommend for a luxurious stay.
