I have recently returned from a hiking trip to the Northern Albanian Alps. A wonderful experience. On my return I spent time in Tirana, staying at the Sar’ Otel hotel. This hotel is in a cosy and central position close to Skanderbeg Square. The hotel is well managed and offers a quiet ambiance despite being in the city centre. The staff were helpful and attentive. The hotel stay was, in my opinion, good value. I recommend a visit to Albania - Good value and plenty of scenic options.

The hotel is in a good location, very close to the central square, very convenient for eating and taking the bus. The airport bus stop is nearby. There is a refrigerator but no kettle. There are ants in the toilet, but they will disappear after blowing them with a hair dryer.

Awesome hotel within walking distance of Skanderbeg Square, Bunk’Art 2 and numerous restaurants and pubs. Sar’Otel is very clean and inviting. The hotel has a bar and courtyard in back which makes a nice oasis from the hustle and bustle of Tirana. Hotel is very environmentally friendly. The thing that made our stay remarkable is the staff. Valbona and Flevia went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and appreciated. I definitely recommend Sar’Otel to anyone traveling to Tirana.

Great little hotel. Staff are so friendly and helpful. I left something in the room when i left and the staff went above and beyond to get it back to me. Our room was good and bed was so comfortable. Great selection at breakfast. Very central location

The hotel we preferred for our Tirana holiday is very centrally located and clean. Staff all speak good English and are helpful in everything, they were all very polite. Rooms have air conditioning, the rooms are spacious and have a balcony. If I would go to Tirana again, it would be the hotel I would choose.

Nice hotel offering excellent value for money in central Tirana, a 5 minute walk from the airport bus drop-off point. Sits away from the main road which cuts out most of the traffic noise. Has a peaceful garden room on the ground floor surrounded by greenery. Our room had the usual facilities as expected in a European hotel Sarand was cleaned daily to a high standard. The buffet breakfast choices were plentiful and served in an area with ample space. A major plus here is the quality of staff who are are always on hand with a friendly smile and willingness to help if required. A special mention for Valbona who multi tasks front of house in a very professional manner and goes out of her way to make all guests feel welcome. Also a shout out to Roel & Eldi.... sorry for those I missed 😁 All in all a very pleasant 4 night stay....

This property is not at all as advertised. For one thing, they claim to have in-room washer/dryer, which is definitely not true.
Other cons: the room was shabby with scuffed up walls, warped flooring and damaged furniture. It smelled like smoke, despite being a non-smoking room, which means other rooms allow smoking or other guests were ignoring the rules. The HVAC system was noisy and woke me up at night; the walls are thin and I could hear the cleaning staff speaking loudly in the hallway. My safe didn’t work.
Simply put: There is no way this hotel meets the standards for a four-star property.
Pros: the staff were friendly and the breakfast decent. The hotel’s location is good, near the upscale part of Tirana, close to many of the attractions.

Probably one of the best hotels we've been to, and we've been to a lot! The staff were totally committed to making your stay a special one and nothing was too much trouble, not that you needed to ask cos it was all covered. It was one of the cleanest I've been to (massive beds, great laundry, even the skirting boards had been done). The location is fantastic being just off the main boulevard, next to the market and tourist attractions, yet not the noise you'd expect from that. They organised our return to the airport and let us use their facilities way after the check out time (probably not always possible) I've got to say, they should be charging a little bit more for all they do. My one and only criticism is that they need to update the hair dryers!! Thoroughly recommended and you will not be disappointed.

This was the first hotel on a group trip to Albania. A charming small boutique style hotel with a nice terrace and in a really good location - very central for walking around Tirana but tucked away. A little mini mart opposite useful for water etc. My main criticism is that as a solo guest my room was not great. A tiny space with a single bed and an equally tiny shower room. It’s a shame to penalise solo guests who have inevitably paid a premium.

The Sar Otel is a lovely small boutique hotel which is centrally located for all the tourist attractions in Tirana. The staff were all very warm, friendly and welcoming and eager to help. The room was of a good size with a small en-suite, an excellent shower and very quiet efficient air conditioning. Despite it being right in the centre of things it was very quiet at night and the comfortable bed made for an excellent nights sleep. It has a lovely outdoor shady terrace which is perfect for drinks and snacks on a hot day. It is used by a lot of the locals so is excellent for people watching. But beware, just about everyone smokes. We would definitely recommend this hotel for a short stay in the lively city of Tirana.
