Veriu Central in Sydney

We loved this hotel! Our rooms were really clean and nice, and we felt at home there. Beds and pillow comfy. Bathroom great and we had a big shower cubicle. Only thing I would say is not lots of wardrobe space and only. Few clothes hangers. The staff at reception were extremely helpful with advice and help. The location is great as you can walk to Chinatown or Haymarlet Light Rail stations so great for getting further into the CBD and Circular Quay. Shops and restaurants near by were great.

Rooms tiny but location is premium. Building is gorgeous. However it is not 4 star. Probably 3.5. I acknowledge running a hotel using staff that get paid mimum wages would be exceptionally challenging. I think cleanliness is is paramount and it seems that is the biggest criticism. I hope this chain does well.

I made a last-minute reservation at the Veriu Hotel for my very first visit to Australia, and I was pleasantly surprised by the reasonable price.

The hotel is situated in a wonderfully convenient area, just a short 10-minute walk from the museum subway station and also close to Chinatown. From the moment I walked in, I felt genuinely welcomed by the staff, especially a kind gentleman named Aaron, who went out of his way to make me feel at home.

I was assigned a room on the second floor. While the hallway leading to my room was a bit narrow, it was definitely manageable. The room itself was actually smaller than I had expected, but it turned out to be perfectly sufficient for a solo traveler like me.

I appreciated the daily cleaning service during my stay, unless I opted for some quiet time by putting a "do not disturb" sign on my door handle. The room was thoughtfully equipped with an espresso maker and a mini fridge, which added to my comfort.

Overall, my stay was truly pleasant, thanks to their outstanding customer service and the fantastic location. I definitely felt cared for during my time there.

This appears to be an old hotel that has had the the rooms renovated so the noise travels between rooms quite easily. The carpets have not been renewed. The bed was super comfortable. The staff were really friendly. If you have mobility challenges and are unable to navigate stairs I would raise this with staff before booking. On the level I stayed, after the lift there were about 5 stairs to get to my room. I could not find a way around these. There were rooms accessible without needing to use the stairs.

Good for a good stay for 1 person per night! Small but comfy and the receptionist Aaron is very friendly and welcoming.

Veriu was great, friendly and helpful staff. Perfect location. Would recommend and stay again!

Booked last minute after another hotel let me down. Staff are very friendly and very helpful. The room is good - fridge, espresso machine, air conditioning.

The window looked out right at all the air conditioning units which could be a bit loud but no other issues.

I’d stay here again.
