Reviews
The Room was very basic, it was old and there was mould in some places. It was frustrating that the room service was not reliable or available, some days it was great and some days it didn’t happen at all. We asked at reception and did not get a suitable response.
The food itself was mass cooked, very fatty and oily, however sometimes there was something decent. The salad bar was great. But most days the food was consistent.
Location wise was great, one bus which was just a 5min walk away and great access to town or the beach.
Overall my experience I would say it was adequate, based on service, food and room I would rate it 2/5. Positives I would say the location was good. I wouldn’t come back again.
Having read the reviews we were concerned about the hotel but it was fine. Probably best way to describe it was adequate.
We had 2 adjoining twin rooms. Both were clean and cleaners came every day apart from Sunday.
Food in the restaurant was as you'd expect in a large all inclusive, we found something for everyone each day but nothing amazing.
I would highly recommend the a la Carte, had a very lovely meal there. Mikhail the server was absolutely brilliant too. I had lamb and it fell off the bone, 10/10 meal.
Pool is large, great for kids. The bar tenders at the pool bar are efficient but not necessarily skilled in building rapport.
Entertainment was mixed, kids loved the circus performer, fire eater and magician. The in house entertainers are great too. Activities are a but repetitive but their pers9nality really helps you have a good time and active during the day.
Location isnt great. If you want to get out and about worth hiring s car as very little within walking distance.
If the hotel did the little things better it'd shoot up the rankings - for example if they wiped the green scum line off the pool side, mopped the pool side tiles daily, swept fallen leaves daily etc. The are the things you see in a true 4 or 5 star but we're done intermittently at Oasis.
We had a great week there, I would urge anyone with concerns to not worry. It's a perfectly adequate hotel, with some very decent staff.
Tips if you're going:
- get down for sunbeds early. Start queuing from 6.30am to get beds at 7am when the "guard" leaves
- get your table for evening entertainment by around 7.45.
The hotel in general is in good condition, the lobby and lounge have plenty of relaxing areas which are clean.
The main pool was great, very popular and the waterfall a nice feature. A let down is that their sun bed policy is not enforced at all - guests come down before 7 am and start putting towels on beds! Towels are not removed (I think a factor in this may be because your card details are taken for the towel so it’s not like you can just get another towel). Getting a sun bed after 8am is not really possible, there won’t be any free until about 3/4pm.
We saw a lot of mixed reviews about the food for the all inclusive option and can honestly say it was great. There was always a big selection and the staff were great. The Greek salad was delicious everyday and the desserts a big hit (we normally find the desserts a let down). We had one gluten intolerant member of our party and they offer were gluten free bread, pizza and pasta. There were other options that were naturally gluten free however I do not know if they are celiac suitable. We had the a la carte option and bbq too and both went down well.
The rooms were clean on arrival, we had some “family rooms” and twins. It is worth noting a family room consists of a king bed and sofa bed - the sofa bed is small and we could not fit two children on it (it would be ok for toddlers). The family room is not a good option if there are 4 of you, it would be better to get a bigger family suite. We had an issue with a broken toilet on the first day and the manager gave us a new room.
The location of the hotel is what lets this holiday down, the area outside the hotel is pretty worn down, the nearby beach is grey with stones. It’s a short beach with lots of graffiti and rubbish. The further you go into Limassol there are nicer parts but they are not like the beaches past Paphos,
Overall we had a good experience at the hotel, the kids loved the pool and the food was a big hit. If you like to just stay at a pool it is great (just make sure you wake up early for a sun bed!), if you prefer swimming in the sea I wouldn’t go to Limassol.
We had a very good time in the hotel as we say. 🫡 to the staff!
