Charming is the quintessential word for this place! The experience of staying was personable, charmed and quaint. If you think of staying in a city hotel in southern Europe, this is exactly what to picture. A family owned place through 4 generations, it is very clear from the moment you enter that this is a place that has hosted many travellers.
Though the rooms were a little creaky, and wonky, and the airconditioning was fixed to a balmy 24 degrees, the beds were soft, and the breakfast was exquisite 👌 My only complaint for the breakfast was the coffee, which could be improved, but otherwise the breakfast had so many options and was well prepared and fresh!
The location of the hotel can't be beat, you are literally in the heart of the city. That said, me and my party had several rooms scattered across the hotel and though my room had the cutest balcony facing the street, I did have some of the bar music filter into my room untill two am. If you are a person who needs complete quiet, you should request a room facing the garden, as the rest of my party had no sounds in their room at night.
Overall it was a very pleasant experience. It felt welcoming to stay, and a good base to explore the old town of Paphos.

We didn't stay at hotel, just went to the interior garden restaurant. It was one of the best food in the whole Cyprus. We recommend their "specialities": really good!!!

Very bad experience. The food of the Taverna was good and our bill was supposed to be 33.50€ for a mixed grill (23.50€) and two glasses of wine (10€). But for our surprise when the bill came it was actually 49.50€. We kindly asked the manager why we got charged 16€ more for something that said “FOOD” in the bill and he said it was for the salad we ate. I asked him why it didn’t say “SALAD” in the bill instead of “FOOD” and he said it’s just not in the system.
Anyway the mixed grill we ordered already came with sauce, bread and salad so we told him we didn’t order an extra salad, so he proceeded to start making up stories about how I personally ordered a bigger salad when he supposedly told me the one included in the mixed grill was small (which they never served us by the way), but this conversation never happened as my partner made the order as he speaks Greek and I don’t. He was having a discussion about the bill with my partner in Greek and when I tried to talk to him and explain that I didn’t order this salad he proceeded to cut me off and say “We’re talking in Greek” and didn’t let me speak.
He insisted we had to pay for what we ate and obviously this was not the issue, we were ready to pay this scam but we wanted to know what exactly we were paying.
Even if it was true and he gave us a bigger salad (just because he wanted) isn’t 16€ too much for a basic greek salad? Well, who knows. Avoid this place or be very careful with this rude man if you go.

Asked for a small plate of starters, the owner said no no, I bring you plate 2 types of cheese, vegetables, pita etc. for only 20 euro. We said ok, and he brought a small plate with half a tomato, 5 slices of cucumber, 4 slices of carrot, 6 very small slices of cheese(3 of each kind), 2 pita and some olives. We felt this was some kind of mistake or scam and wanted to confront the owner, but after we read some reviews we realised that if confronted he goes agressive. On the bill he taxed "food" for 20€. It s clearly a scam. Should be avoided.

Beautiful hotel in a great location, it is in the middle of the center and close to all key points such as bus stops. Owner of the hotel is very friendly and welcoming, facilitated an extra night very last minute without problems and let me leave my luggage in the hotel during a day trip after check out. Overall great experience, highly recommend anyone in Paphos to stay at this place.

I can honestly say that this was my worst hotel experience since progressing beyond backpacking days; certainly, in the last 40 years or so. Being charitable, possibly for a novelist looking for down-and-out colour, or a youngster wanting a grungy and ‘real’ relatively low-cost experience this might be OK. But not for older professionals looking for a peaceful civilised break. I chose this hotel because it was recommended in the Rough Guide book, which described it as ‘boutique’. Last year we had a wonderful holiday in Rhodes Old Town in a boutique hotel, and I wanted to recreate this. Cost was not really an issue that motivated the choice (in fact it is put down as relatively pricey in the Rough Guide, which, of course it isn’t). My main mistake was not looking very hard at the reviews. Our experience was pretty much in line with the most negative reviews: weirdly eccentric and rather rude manager, terrible breakfast, terrible location. We lasted just one night, having booked seven. Of course, as might be expected, we were refused any refund. Unlike the old town of Rhodes there is nothing much in old Paphos. Most of anything ‘old’ has been ripped out and replaced by modern high street shops - fine for locals, but nothing really for tourists. The Kiniras is located in a busy modern high street close to a nightclub. We arrived on Saturday night and were put in a tiny room on the high street. The noise from the nightclub (catering for locals I think) blared through the closed window (louder than I play music at home) until after 3 in the morning. After a terrible night we went down to breakfast, which, as another reviewer has said, was almost inedible, with a clientele that seemed from an art-house film. At that point I made one of the better decisions in recent years and, using Google Maps, found a fantastic, modern, apartment/hotel set around swimming pools. We never thought we would go for such a place, but it was absolutely great - very quiet, with competent friendly staff. The total opposite of the Kiniras. And for only about 20 Euros per night more.

An amazing dining experience at the restaurant. Beautiful courtyard and wonderful staff! Not to mention the dishes themselves which were mouthwatering. A heartwarming moment overall.

This place saved our holiday! We wanted to stay in other apartment, but it was very dirty, so we needed a place to stay in the middle of the night, and it was exactly there. Very kind and helpful service. Good breakfast, clean and tidy room with air conditioner. It was pleasure to visit this hotel!
