Good budget hotel for a quick stay with a fairly good breakfast layout. Staff is helpful and courteous. Had a wonderful stay.

This one is just okay. It does the job. It's not a big room, but for the most part it has everything you'd expect. I am a tea addict and there was no kettle. Apparently that's a Germany-wide thing? Which is weird to me personally, because if you step into a Rossmann or a Rewe, you'll get mountains of tea. And yet I had to go back to the reception each time.

It's not the best Ibis I ever had and to be honest it's probably on the low side of all the Ibis hotels I ever slept in. It's very bare bones. In the room there's a bed a TV with 3 channels and bathroom that's on the just big enough that you're not going to start complaining about it. The bed is on the fairly hard side. But too be honest. One star deduction because the bathroom of the room "20s" is very small, has no space for 2 people, or even for one sometimes. However, service is great, and if you pay more attention to location than the hotel, then it is a great place.

Place is 2 mins walk from a station that takes you to the main landmarks, including Hauptbanhof. Squeaky clean, great staff and the buffet is really varied, tasty and with everything for anyone, absolutely recommended.

I was staying with my son for the Euros. Rooms are very small and basic. Air con wasn't working. It fitted the bill for what we needed as only stayed 2 nights.

For the price it gets the job done. Perfectly fine and clean. Breakfast should have been better for the price per person charged of 20 Euros.

We booked 2 nights first then add a third night. Had no problem to get the same room for the three nights. Easy and very friendly communication with the staff of the hotel. The room was perfect for the price. Clean, safe, practical. An extra stool and a small table would be a very nice addition.

Well it is budget ibis version with the budget standard. I have to sag that the hotel service staff is MOST HELPFUL there and their work devoted. Very close to Lanxess Arena which was crucial to me.

This hotel is a hidden gem in an industrial park near the airport. I come here oftenly for my job and Redouan and his team always make sure I have the best experience. They are friendly, helpfull and always ready when I need something! It might not be the newest design hotel, however you have everything what you need and the cleaning team always make sure its tidy and hygenic! You aboslutely get value...

Loved the room, nothing to fancy absolutely fine for a one night stop with a dog. One thing o did miss but nothing major is a kettle. Should have taken a small travel kettle. They do have vending machines for drinks but a bit on the expensive side. Also serves breakfast if you interested.

We visited this hotel during the last years several times and the hotel is very good. The staff is friendly and the rooms are very clean. Because of the possibility of public transport and the quietness of the hotel environment this is a perfect place to stay.

Clean functional box to sleep in, and nothing more. A few seconds walk from the railway line connecting the airport, the Messe and the centre. Extremely convenient for those attending the airport or Messe.

Perfect location for a stopover en route from the UK to Austria. Good breakfast, nice rooms, good service. Only issue we had was that one of our 2 rooms stank of smoke (yes it's a non-smoking hotel). It was too late into the night to change rooms when we arrived and we slept well, but not ideal.

Interesting concept having a shower in the room itself, bit awkward when you’re sharing with a friend. Good location, not too far from a train station or a 30 minute walk to go city centre.

I learned you can’t be disappointed by an Ibis Hotel. You know what you’ll get and you get it. Best location possible, rooms are very good, breakfast fantastic. Our room had a view to the Dom. I’d stay here again.

Simple rooms in a fantastic location next to the main train station, in front of the cathedral. You can't hear the trains. But room design is so cheap, feels more like a (private) hostel.

Usual ibis which is located conveniently right at the highway intersection. It is the cheapest one in cologne usually and one of few with free spacious parking. So getting here with car is without a problem. However the nearest public transport station is half a hour walk away. And if you prefer to eat something else than fast food you will have to drive/walk as well. Room itself could be cleaner...

Highly accessible location, comfortable and clean, friendly and willing staff, pretty neat overall. Enjoyed our stay.

Clean, seems news, super fast check in and check out, and quiet. Homemade jams made the breakfast more special.

it was great! stay was awesome, breakfast was nice, beds were comfy, close to public transport as well. only thing was that check in took 30-40mins even though they offer self check in (which didn't work), but understandable i guess :) the street is really loud in the early hours too.

I wasn't keen about staying in a hostel but I stopped by and spoke to the lovely and friendly Marie who made me feel comfortable and offered areas to enjoy. Superstar Alex came to my rescue when I was confused about the checking in procedures and was a charming, enjoyable person to talk to. I stayed for 2 nights in a 6-bed dorm. It seemed everyone in my room was a solo traveller, which was nice. An issue with the rooms is the ventilation and temperature though. The room itself is quite warm, as is the entire hostel. The toilet and bathroom are very warm and poorly ventilated - the humidity even 10 minutes after taking a shower was unbearable, as the shower room was also very small. In...

I always prefer A&O hostels and this one lived up to my expectations. Clean rooms, bathrooms and excellent service. Breakfast is also available. It is not far but not too close to the Koln HBF and Cathedral either. If you are carrying luggage, then definitely take a subway to Neumarkt. And from the Neumarkt station, it is a 10-12 minute walk again. But its worth and highly recommended.

We have a very good stay here. At our arrival, Sam took very good of us and was very helpful. We also had a problem with our towels and they help us too. If we could have change two things, one would be the cleanliness (the room was a bit dusty) and the temperature inside of the room was very high (and we couldn't control it so we were forced to open the window). Perfect cheap place to book last minute for 1-3 night. Double room we stayed in was on 3rd floor, with comfy & clean beds. Towels and douche gel were available in the room, that is huge +. Very good position, the hotel is located in the centre of the city, near museums and the catedral. The room was clean and the receptionists was very polite. It is possible to check-in 24h.

The staff was very helpful. The room was also fine. Clean. But it was incredibly warm. They didn't seem to have either fans, or any type of air circulation. No individual plug points for charging appliances. My bed frame was coming apart, and being in a bunk bed, that's scary. And most importantly, she sheets smelt terrible. PLEASE use some lightly scented soap or softener to wash your sheets!

Beds are comfortable and bathroom is large. Wifi is bad but usable. You can rent bikes and there is a communal kitchen, but no outside alcohol is technically allowed. It's in a nice location but a 30min walk away from the cathedral. Overall I'm pretty happy.

Amazing hotel in a great location, a bit far from the centre to go walking but just two stops away by tram. The reception team was amazing, specially the girl who checked us in in the morning of the 30/08. She went above and beyond to help us find our way around in the city. There was a but that seems never open but you can sit there and relax after a day walking around. Amazing overall experience

The hotel glory days are behind it but we had a pleasant stay. The staff in friendly and speaks English. The rooms are rather small and a double bed consists of 2x90cm beds next to each other. Breakfast is nice.

A very old place, rooms rather small, atrocious WiFi, fairly good breakfast. Central location so easy to get to and easy to find restaurants and such like. Overall very decent for overnight stays, but I'd find somewhere nicer for longer stays.

Had a great, last minute overnight. Room was surprisingly large. Included breakfast buffet was hearty. Short walk from the train station.

Firstly we have to accept that A&O is a low price basic hotel/hostel. The size of room and bathroom is ok for that price almost spacy. The interior is very simple. The staff is friendly and supportive. In case you expect luxury - you are wrong here. What I would have much appreciated? A kettle to make hot water, not in every room but at least in a kind of shared mini kitchen.

Predatory charge for having a bedsheet. You need to pay 4 euros to have bedsheets. What the hell is that?! I didn't see information of this kind anywhere. From the outside it does not look that good and tidy but uts very modern on the inside. The rooms are just big enough and everything is very tidy and clean.

Always read the small print. Check in done at another hotel nearby. This hotel is unattended by staff. Can't point my finger on anything good or bad about this place, but there is no doubt it's budget. Then back again at the check in place for breakfast.

It locates close to the customer I am visiting, and close to Cologne city center. Rooms are fine, with large toilette, quiet neighborhood, and relaxed ambient. Breakfast is ok.

Staff is friendly, I’ve arrived early and had no problems dropping off my luggage and going sightseeing even before my room was ready. Location is good, only a few minutes walking to the cathedral.

Checked in with no problem, dropped off my luggage and went off to enjoy the day. The room is perfect for a solo traveller. Some doors may need some oiling as they creak. The way many of German doors work (at least from my experience), you should use your key to close doors rather than slam them shut. The 4th floor penthouse is a nice view but quite a hike up tight stairwells. The ceilings are low and I had to keep ducking (6ft). It had a patio/balcony area. But otherwise didn't offer much..for what it was too expensive.
