Excellent stay, our receptionist upon checking in was really nice and friendly which made everything better. Spacious room with 2 seats to chill. Quick less than 5 min walk to the train station. Parking is around 17 to 19 euro for the night.

A short walk from Köln-Messe rail station, and across from the Messeplatz centre it is simply the most convenient location for business travellers. It is my default hotel of choice in Köln. Clean efficient rooms, robust and diverse breakfast, and comfortable lobby bar, round off a quality stay.

Very friendly staff and location is great. The room was clean and very comfortable. My only complaint is that I paid for an upgrade to “garden view” and the view was not nice at all. Also I upgraded to have a bottle of wine in the room but the wine never arrived. The breakfast was delicious and the variety was great.

Just stayed here two nights. Had a great time. The staff is top notch. Everyone is super friendly. Location is great. You can walk to everything not to mention it's 100m to the Dom. We have been staying at the hotel on our wedding night and the night before. We had a room with a stunning view over Cologne and a beautiful balcony. We received a small marriage cake to enjoy, and I had a special hanger for my wedding dress. I loved the way they took care of even the smallest things. Thank you!

Excellent hotel for a city trip. Just a 5 minute walk from the city center. Spacious and clean room, comfortable bed, great air conditioning and private parking. We did think the breakfast was very pricey (27 euros) so we just got our own breakfast. Other than that very nice and comfortable hotel.

There is a generosity about this hotel that is all too rare these days. Heaps of toiletries in the bathroom, free minibar with beer and juices, and a magnificent breakfast. The outdoor elevator was an unexpected joy too. Would definitely return if we come back to Cologne. Thank you.

A superb business hotel wonderfully located in Cologne. Just a 10-minute walk from the city center and main businesses. The staff is very welcoming and attentive. The location of this hotel was really good, close to lots of restaurants and bars and near the cities attractions. While the rooms were very spacious they were not very clean with one corner of our room actually having mold in it behind the curtains. The wifi was also awful. The connection was so poor that i couldn't even load a video, and it would repeatedly drop out in the room.

Room and facilities were top notch for my stay on 12 August. My check in staff were polite and courteous as were the spa and gym staff who are fantastic. A great shame the check out person (Hirsch who claimed he was the manager) I believe was rude and unhelpful citing a bizarre policy for his behaviour. Otherwise a great hotel.

The room and the view from it were absolutely stunning. Location-wise the hotel is great, too. But the service was disappointing. Some examples: - Curtains were falling off. We asked them to be repaired. Did not happen over our 3 day-stay. - Asked for wake-up call, but did not receive one. - Baby cot was missing.

When I booked I asked for 2 single beds. This means to me 2 beds, so 2 people. I paid 384 euro. Which is a lot of money for 2 nights. It's a nice hotel, comfortable room. I missed a socket near the bed. Personally I'm not a fan of showering in the tub, but it worked. Breakfast rates are ridiculous in my opinion. Almost €30,- for a cup of coffee and a bowl of yoghurt is overrated. Parking rates could be less too, imo.

We had what is called a deluxe room on the website. The price was okay and the staff was great. The room was not in a great condition. Long black hair on the floor in the bathroom, white and yellow paste on the walls of the bedroom, dust on the coffee machine. We did not have the time or the energy to tell the staff that the room needed cleaning, so they haven’t had a chance to do anything about it...

We were very happy to stay here for one night. The park and small animal farm close by are a very nice visit if you like walking and feeding deer. Great beds, loveley breakfast and very nice staff. The rooms are older, however still comfortable and clean There are also nice restaurants on walking distance. We will come back.

Overall not bad hotel, location is nice, 2 issues were: old carpets started to smell in hotel corridors and 1 coffee machine is not enough in such big hotel. A gym would also be useful somewhere.

The hotel is perfectly located, just a 5-minute walk from numerous bars and restaurants. The Dorint is exceptionally clean, with excellent staff and an awesome bar and lounge. Its central location makes it ideal for enjoying all the fun activities Cologne has to offer.

Rooms are very comfortable and quite big. Some of them are quite noisy because of the street. Reception was very friendly. Check out, can't said the same. I ask for a Taxi and receptionist where are we going but he didn't share the information with the taxi and they took us to another ship terminal not the one we wanted. Excellent service by professional hosts. Fantastic breakfasts and spacious rooms with fitting facilities. The A/C broke during our stay, but this was beyond the hotel’s control, and they offered us great replacements to cool down our rooms. Definitely a recommendation when staying in Köln!

lovely hotel! we stayed for one night and were amazed by the comfortable beds in the three bed family room. we chose this hotel because it had three separate, real beds, and they didn’t disappoint! the breakfast was also incredibly nice - one of the nicest breakfast buffets I’ve ever had (multiple types of honey!) Overall this place was pretty good. The location was ideal for what we wanted. Walking distance to everything we wanted to see in the city. One of the best parts was that they had a parking garage directly under the hotel. The hotel is conveniently located near the Cathedral and public transport. There's a good variety of restaurants nearby and the staff is helpful. However the rooms need to be renovated. Place is 2 mins walk from a station that takes you to the main landmarks, including Hauptbanhof. Squeaky clean, great staff and the buffet is really varied, tasty and with everything for anyone, absolutely recommended.

I was staying with my son for the Euros. Rooms are very small and basic. Air con wasn't working. It fitted the bill for what we needed as only stayed 2 nights.

We went there for Thermal experience, it was clean and hygienic, many Sauna options, I loved the outside sauna with special treats. Staff were friendly and helpful. It was a great experience 👍🏼👌🏼the rooftop is also a recommended option.

As an IHG member, I really always go to IHG hotels. This one is one of the better ones I've been to in Germany. No annoying ID check, no annoying surcharges for multiple people in the room. Friendly service and staff. A good franchise partner that IHG has here! keep up the good work. The rooms are rather small and I miss queen size beds, but everything else is ok, very clean.

Typical quality for a Holiday Inn Express. Room was a bit small but not unexpected for a tourist spot. A/C in the room worked well enough but if it was an incredibly hot day, I could see that the a/c likely wouldn't be able to keep the room cool. One dissappointment was the lack of a gym/exercise room.

Stayed for a quick reward night. He was VERY courteous at check in and recognized my status. They nailed my preferences, top floor-end unit. To top it off, a large complimentary Kölsch killed it!

Hotel was clean and tidy. Breakfast served was good. The only concern for us was it is almost 45 mins to the center. The bus stop is about 10-12 min walk from the hotel and then a 35 min ride to central station. In the limited time we were there we lost time travelling from the hotel to the central station. Additionally, there are no restaurants around the hotel with the exception of one pizza place...

Overall the rooms are nice and clean and a good size. The breakfast service is great and the pancakes are so fun just like other reviews suggest. The McDonald's is directly next door which is always a bonus and there's a bus stop down the road which can take you to the centre.

Rooms were clean, place was super convenient, and the breakfast was ok. Perfect for solo travelers and for those who wont stay more than 1 or 2 days in Cologne.

Not the greatest hotel but to be expected at a decent price .. check in was good with automatic code for the safe to get the keys. Room was very small and no air con but there was a little fan which didn’t help so much in the heat. Sink was in the room next to the bed and the power cable was not really accessible so I had to unplug the lamp to move it next to the bed.. Breakfast was okay , prepared...

We stayed there 3 nights and we really loved it! The hotel has really nice spacious rooms, comfy beds and is spotlessly clean. It's also really close to the train station, cathedral and centre of Cologne. An extra bonus is definitely the super tasty breakfast and friendly staff!

Basic hotel, location is ok, a 10-min walk from Köln Hbf, same for the breakfast. The bathroom was not well planned as you cannot close the door of the shower cabin. I stayed 3 nights and no one cleaned or emptied the garbage bins, which I didn't know when I made the reservation.

Very good hotel. Central so easy to reach places. Clean and comfortable with excellent breakfast selection. Hotel left key in safe outside door as I arrived late. Good idea. Ahhhhhh, the room was OK! We were given a handicap-accessible room; however, it wasn't handicap-accessible. Neither myself nor my husband are disabled, but if we were, we still wouldn’t be able to access many of the functions in the room. Also, around 1:25 a.m., we experienced a leak in the ceiling, which caused us to change rooms. It was inconvenient, mainly because we had to catch a train at 9 am...

This was a very clean hotel with an impressive front desk staff who were professional and polite. They greeted us every time we walked by whether we were coming in or going out. Great location. Room was quiet and modern. The best part was the breakfast, which we all loved. Great variety and high quality food - on par with five star hotels we have stayed in. Would recommend to other families - brought in a rollaway and we accommodated 4. Fitness center was well stocked and surprisingly nice. Only downside was long lines at reception at times.

Overwhelming friendly welcome in the hotel . Extreme friendly personal. The location of the hotel is marvelous in the middle of town. Very nice hotel room with a great view to the cathedral. The variety and quality of the breakfast buffet was very good. We enjoyed the stay and plan to come back.

We come here very often and it's perfect every time. Everyone is very friendly and it feels like visiting friends. The location is central but still in a decently quiet neighborhood. Rooms are fine everything works and is available but might need some more cleaning on parts of the walls. Check-in and check-out we're quick and easy and the private parking was very convenient as well.

My first experience at Courtyard Hotel was exceptional. The room was generously sized and equipped with all the essential amenities. The breakfast offered was satisfying, and I particularly appreciated the friendly demeanor of the staff. Moreover, the room provided a serene atmosphere, ensuring a peaceful stay. The hotel was nice and I especially liked the service, kindness and attitude of the receptionists. They didn’t have single bed rooms so I had to stay in a room with 2 single beds. The room was OK. But there wasn’t any slippers and water inside the room so I asked for slippers. The receptionist didn’t even bring it to the room , they just handed the slippers. I bought drinking water from Rewe nearby...

The room was clean and tidy, though the shower pressure was lacking and they didn't refill the tea and coffee supplies the second day. The breakfast buffet was great. There is a bottleneck with breakfast around 9am and they open other areas as the crowd increases, but it would be great if they did that in advance so that people aren't left wandering the room searching for seats. Clean, good breakfast, nice hotel quite near railway station. Service was slow when we got there thursday night at 11pm. Situation was still handled nicely though. Would stay again.
