Lovely place to stay, the rooms are just perfect, it feels like they thought of everything when planning them. All rooms are studio apartments with kitchenette area(fridge, stove, oven). Staff is very friendly too.

Good accommodation for a fair price. Everything you need is available. Very close by you have a super market as well as many other shops. In about 20 minutes via public transport, you are at the cathedral. The only disadvantage is the fire alarm. It might start in the night and it takes about 5 to 10 minutes to turn it off by local staff or the fire department.

We stayed at the top club floor. Highly recommend. You pay extra for the room and then you have an access for very solid refreshment area where you can have a coffee, snack or lighter food unlimited. We have been staying at the hotel on our wedding night and the night before. We had a room with a stunning view over Cologne and a beautiful balcony. We received a small marriage cake to enjoy, and I had a special hanger for my wedding dress. I loved the way they took care of even the smallest things. Thank you!

Excellent hotel for a city trip. Just a 5 minute walk from the city center. Spacious and clean room, comfortable bed, great air conditioning and private parking. We did think the breakfast was very pricey (27 euros) so we just got our own breakfast. Other than that very nice and comfortable hotel.

There is a generosity about this hotel that is all too rare these days. Heaps of toiletries in the bathroom, free minibar with beer and juices, and a magnificent breakfast. The outdoor elevator was an unexpected joy too. Would definitely return if we come back to Cologne. Thank you.

The location of this hotel was really good, close to lots of restaurants and bars and near the cities attractions. While the rooms were very spacious they were not very clean with one corner of our room actually having mold in it behind the curtains. The wifi was also awful. The connection was so poor that i couldn't even load a video, and it would repeatedly drop out in the room.

Room and facilities were top notch for my stay on 12 August. My check in staff were polite and courteous as were the spa and gym staff who are fantastic. A great shame the check out person (Hirsch who claimed he was the manager) I believe was rude and unhelpful citing a bizarre policy for his behaviour. Otherwise a great hotel.

The room and the view from it were absolutely stunning. Location-wise the hotel is great, too. But the service was disappointing. Some examples: - Curtains were falling off. We asked them to be repaired. Did not happen over our 3 day-stay. - Asked for wake-up call, but did not receive one. - Baby cot was missing.

Good location, the room was not very clean, the coffee machine in the room was broken. The day I arrived I asked to get a take away gluten-free breakfast for the last day, which was not ready. The nice person at the reception did his best to put together something last minute.

The room could be bigger and the gym would be better with some dumbells. The service was very good. The location is perfect (15-20 minutes walk to the center). There are bus stations at 4-6 minutes for the 132 and 133 line. You can walk 6-7 minutes to a road with many stores restaurants super market etc, just 2-3 blocks above the hotel. Had booked Standard room with 1 queen size bed and sofa bed. Room was decent enough and had all basic amenities. Bed was not so comfortable though, and bathroom door didnt close properly. Since all the important attractions are near Cologne Train Station, this hotel is off from the attractions and has to take train and walk for 8-9 minutes to reach hotel and again from hotel to metro station. When I booked I asked for 2 single beds. This means to me 2 beds, so 2 people. I paid 384 euro. Which is a lot of money for 2 nights. It's a nice hotel, comfortable room. I missed a socket near the bed. Personally I'm not a fan of showering in the tub, but it worked. Breakfast rates are ridiculous in my opinion. Almost €30,- for a cup of coffee and a bowl of yoghurt is overrated. Parking rates could be less too, imo.

Great Hotel in perfect location for the exhibition hall but nothing else. Fantastic leisure facilities, good food and staff all super helpful and friendly. We had what is called a deluxe room on the website. The price was okay and the staff was great. The room was not in a great condition. Long black hair on the floor in the bathroom, white and yellow paste on the walls of the bedroom, dust on the coffee machine. We did not have the time or the energy to tell the staff that the room needed cleaning, so they haven’t had a chance to do anything about it...

We were very happy to stay here for one night. The park and small animal farm close by are a very nice visit if you like walking and feeding deer. Great beds, loveley breakfast and very nice staff. The rooms are older, however still comfortable and clean There are also nice restaurants on walking distance. We will come back.

Overall not bad hotel, location is nice, 2 issues were: old carpets started to smell in hotel corridors and 1 coffee machine is not enough in such big hotel. A gym would also be useful somewhere.

The hotel is perfectly located, just a 5-minute walk from numerous bars and restaurants. The Dorint is exceptionally clean, with excellent staff and an awesome bar and lounge. Its central location makes it ideal for enjoying all the fun activities Cologne has to offer.

Rooms are very comfortable and quite big. Some of them are quite noisy because of the street. Reception was very friendly. Check out, can't said the same. I ask for a Taxi and receptionist where are we going but he didn't share the information with the taxi and they took us to another ship terminal not the one we wanted. Excellent service by professional hosts. Fantastic breakfasts and spacious rooms with fitting facilities. The A/C broke during our stay, but this was beyond the hotel’s control, and they offered us great replacements to cool down our rooms. Definitely a recommendation when staying in Köln!

A great hotel in very central Cologne. The rooms are large and luxurious, bathrooms come with a bath and large shower. lovely hotel! we stayed for one night and were amazed by the comfortable beds in the three bed family room. we chose this hotel because it had three separate, real beds, and they didn’t disappoint! the breakfast was also incredibly nice - one of the nicest breakfast buffets I’ve ever had (multiple types of honey!) Overall this place was pretty good. The location was ideal for what we wanted. Walking distance to everything we wanted to see in the city. One of the best parts was that they had a parking garage directly under the hotel. The hotel is conveniently located near the Cathedral and public transport. There's a good variety of restaurants nearby and the staff is helpful. However the rooms need to be renovated. As an IHG member, I really always go to IHG hotels. This one is one of the better ones I've been to in Germany. No annoying ID check, no annoying surcharges for multiple people in the room. Friendly service and staff. A good franchise partner that IHG has here! keep up the good work. The rooms are rather small and I miss queen size beds, but everything else is ok, very clean.

Typical quality for a Holiday Inn Express. Room was a bit small but not unexpected for a tourist spot. A/C in the room worked well enough but if it was an incredibly hot day, I could see that the a/c likely wouldn't be able to keep the room cool. Hotel was clean and tidy. Breakfast served was good. The only concern for us was it is almost 45 mins to the center. The bus stop is about 10-12 min walk from the hotel and then a 35 min ride to central station. In the limited time we were there we lost time travelling from the hotel to the central station. Overall the rooms are nice and clean and a good size. The breakfast service is great and the pancakes are so fun just like other reviews suggest. The McDonald's is directly next door which is always a bonus and there's a bus stop down the road which can take you to the centre.

We stayed there 3 nights and we really loved it! The hotel has really nice spacious rooms, comfy beds and is spotlessly clean. It's also really close to the train station, cathedral and centre of Cologne. An extra bonus is definitely the super tasty breakfast and friendly staff!

Basic hotel, location is ok, a 10-min walk from Köln Hbf, same for the breakfast. The bathroom was not well planned as you cannot close the door of the shower cabin. I stayed 3 nights and no one cleaned or emptied the garbage bins, which I didn't know when I made the reservation.

Less than 15 walking mins away from the old town, situated right at the river and with lots of dining options around, it offered everything we needed. The room was very spacious, with sort of a balcony just above the canal, with comfy beds.

I had 2 days in a conference at the hotel and also spend those 2 days there. My room had a nice view to the river and was also very comfortable/big. Everyone was super nice and the food was delightful. There is also a terrace with an amazing view. The hotel is also close to the main station and the Cathedral.

Beautiful hotel with very friendly and courteous staff - definitely to be recommended. Lovingly furnished rooms - free Wi-Fi - there is always a place to park. Little gem.

If you go to Cologne, you need to know a lot. First time staying at this hotel, I was very pleasantly surprised. The room where I slept had a jacuzzi. The interior has a great design. The hotel has a bar where you can also have a drink. The breakfast here is also very good and you can directly see the Rhine from the promenade. Very good value for money. Highly recommended....

Very charming, small, nice hotel. Whether it's a drink or an overnight stay, this is an incredibly good recommendation. Mega stylish, luxurious interior and absolutely clean. Apartment comfortable, well appointed and equipped. On the banks of the rhine the views from our balcony were impressive up the river. The access to the car park and apartment are simple but not straight forward, once sorted it's fine. I would certainly recommend. Cologne centre seems to be in walking distance, about 3k, we will find out tomorrow.

It is a hotel that I would recommend unreservedly. All the staff is professional and very helpful. All facilities were great, clean and well cared for. My room was spacious, well furnished, clean and comfortable.

Great hotel. The rooms are big and spotlessly clean, the breakfast is amazing too. The location is really nice. The only downside would be a very confusing inner structure of hotel buildings, rooms and elevators with a lot of stairs to climb. But besides that, a wonderful place to stay.

High quality rooms in a building with character. Even tho the room was on the smaller side, everything was high quality and the beds were very comfortable. A breath of fresh air after staying in hotels of large multinational chains the nights previous. Hotel a 5–mins walk to where the city's many beautiful building and squares begin. Everything perfect for me ! Good location no taxis or trams required! Exceptionally clean, relaxed ! Pool and sauna were a bonus ! Rooms exceptionally clean and beds were comfortable! Would stay here again and would recommend to anybody!

The hotel was clean, the rooms also. The shower was great, lots of water pressure. There is no lift so have that in mind if you have low mobility. The pool was a bit cold but not freezing. The buffet was good, with wide variety of food. 15 min walking to the kölner Dom so was pretty handy for us.

The breakfast buffet was not refilled so you paid a lot for very little food and juices. The elevator was broken the entire week so it was tough for my partner with knee issues to walk up the narrow curving stairs. There was no privacy between the bathroom and the room. Only a curtain you could pull but it stopped no sound or light.

On one of the main squares and a 5-10 min walk from the station. Modern hotel, friendly staff. My room faced the square and it was a little noisy but fine. Breakfast was very good. Lots of bars and restaurants nearby. Good value. Lots of similar hotels nearby

Excellent Location, right in the heart of Cologne Old Town. Room is big and clean. Good breakfast. The only issue I was facing is the sofa bed for the 3rd person, the couch can't be flattern, a bit difficult to sleep on even for a 12 yos child.

This is the perfect place to stay if you like a clean, small hotel that is walkable to everything! The staff is exceptional. Daniel greeted is when we arrived, and he was so helpful throughout our stay, as was the entire staff.

Very nice hotel in central location within a few minutes walk of the railway station and Alter Mkt. Compact but comfortable room with large shower and bathroom. No tea/coffee making equipment in room but refreshments were available from the bar. Very clean. Good buffet breakfast selection constantly refreshed. Friendly and helpful staff. We enjoyed almost everything about this hotel: the room,the friendly and helpful staff, the location and the adorable robot in the breakfast room. We did not like walking through clouds of cigarette smoke at the front door. The smokers need to go elsewhere!

Great location very close to the train station and cathedral. A short walk to the Rhine river and the old town. Staff were really good, room clean and tidy had a bar and severed breakfast. Clean inside with quite modern decor. Good feel to it and made a great base to explore Cologne and very good value.

Air conditioning not working - makes a lot of fan noise but there is no air coming out and the room doesn't cool even after two hours. Just a stuffy room. If you want downtown Cologne, this is bang in the middle. So expect some noise late at night but everything is literally on your doorstep, from the cathedral, the bars and restaurants and the river. Hotel is new and clean, rooms are small. Staff are very helpful and friendly
