There is no river view from the window.it is not as expected .

They gave me a room far inside the hotel, far from the elevator.They don't even change rooms, and if you go with family, you may have to see a hard time. I do not recommend it for family

Took a short break in Cologne during weekend. Marriott is a nice place to stay with five minutes walk from the central station. Easy to find on arrival and easy for your departure by catching a train to airport. Very cozy bed and clean room with minimal noise. Except the WiFi takes a bit longer to activate but that’s fine.

Perfect for a two day stay, specially if you are going to an event in the Koln Lanxess Arena. Not much to do close by, but perfect walking distance from the venue, subway, and some restaurants. The staff is super friendly, and the rooms clean and look just as advertised.

The room didn’t have a working air conditioner. We left the window open but it was loud all night because of the people waiting for cabs/buses. The breakfast was delicious though. The whole place isn’t horrible but we paid way too much for this place.

Check in was abysmal. Some kind of system problem meant that was a big queue of people. Once served I was checked in swiftly so didnt find out what the problem was. Love this hotel, stayed here for the second time this weekend. Large quiet room, humongous comfy bed, and fantastic breakfast buffet! Service is good and parking is expensive (€20) but secure. We ate at the Italian place inside with the gorgeous bar and the staff went out of their way to make us happy, the burger was also delicious. The lobby is modern and stunning and even SMELLS good.

Probably last time i'll go to this hotel. You can park your car on site for.... 24€.... I took the car and parked on the street for 5€. This hotel is very new and well-equipped. It is a very cost-effective hotel in Europe. The transportation is convenient overall, but if you use public transportation, you should be careful when you come back at night. You will pass a very dark park. The nearest supermarket is 14 minutes away on foot. If you need anything, you can buy it when you pass by the supermarket and bring it back to the hotel...

Visited Koln with family. This hotel is perfect in so many ways. Everything they do is elegant and efficient. The staff always smiled and spoke very good English. It sits directly across and basically in the shadow of the Cathedral and train station. Great location.

I stayed in the annex hotel not  main hotel booking and would have been a better experience as I had to cross the street  to go to the hotel restaurant for breakfast. Really good customer service. Sauna &pool awesome. Breakfast awesome.

My fiancé and I stayed here July 2025 to attend a wedding just outside Cologne. Everything about our stay was excellent and we felt we received great value for money. Went just to take a mini holiday for the weekend. The rooms with a view of the cathedral and the train station are louder because they face the streets. The location of the hotel is very good(close to the railway station and cathedral area). I can say that rooms are not big but they are okay. Been here many times over the years. I sleep well when I stay which is perhaps the main thing? Room was incredibly warm in December, and room controls override not available so just turned off radiator and opened windows to cool it down.

They should change all their bed mattresses as they are old and cause very bad back pain. We told them about this issue, but they did nothing to solve it.

The hotel is very cautious about security. Before entering, need to press doorbell then the staff will allow you to enter. Also, need to use hotel card to enter into residential area. Impressive to have a small balcony & bathtub in a small room.

Not good I find it hard to understand how this property has a 4 star rating. Gym was a cupboard. Rooms only cleaned and refreshed on request. Aircon barely functioning. Lovely management at reception. I stayed for 4 nights. The rooms are well priced , with breakfast as an extra starting from 8 euros. Local shops are around the corner if you need anything. It was a bit hard to find but the rooms were clean and looked good. The staff was exceptionally friendly. At check-in they even opened the terrace just for me. Property situated very close to Subway. We were surprised that they have Fee $.50 for early check in. And for baggage storage $.5 as never experienced any such charges. Room sizes were very compromising two luggage bags and no space to walk. Lobby is nice as usually in same vicinity usually lobby is not that nice. Over all good experience.

This is a huge hotel in a great location, Penn Station across the street. The hotel has been remodeled but still has a lot of art deco features that appeal to travelers like myself. Located close to the city center, very clean and beautiful room, 100% match with pictures on booking, great service

We booked the family room which was large and clean. We had our own space as did the kids. But even after taking the elevator we still had a flight of stairs to climb with our luggage. Keep that in mind if you book this room. It was very basic but suited our needs fo callr our one night stay.

Location was idea, beds very comfortable and lots of space. Location was perfect for a city break. However the shower temperature was temperamental and the towels were as rough as sandpaper.

This little hotel is cheap and cheerful! So close to all main attractions. Room was spotless with excellent air con and a lovely balcony. Breakfast was tasty with something for all tastes. There is no elevator so be ready for stairs. Perfect hotel if you aren't expecting major luxury. Would definitely stay here again 100%!

Good location, clean, beds were very comfortable. Nothing fancy. Breakfast was okay, typical German style.... cereal, cold meats, cheese, bread rolls etc. Only downside is that we were in room 11 which is at the front of the hotel by the entrance..... guests would stand outside smoking which if we had the window open would make our room smell (both of us are non-smokers). Beautiful hotel at perfect walking distance from Köln center. Our room was clean, light and airy, quiet and had a beautiful view of the inside patio. Wonderful, compact, quiet, clean room. Nicely located about 10 min walk from central station. Some good food options surrounding the hotel. The climb into the shower was a little intense, but water pressure made it worth it. Front desk service was really excellent. The lobby smells amazing too, they have a signature scent. Amazing gem of a hotel. A lovely two room apartment with a MASSIVE lounge with fridge, sink and a hob. All rooms overlooked an amazing courtyard with a restaurant with outdoor seating. Not noisy in any way, just the sound of people's muffled discussions. A fantastic hotel that I recommend!

I had a lovely two days stay at your hotel. Surprised of the room with a view, really apreciated the small terrace at the back of the room. Nice comfy beds. I was informed of the building works prior to the stay, but had not much inconvenience of it and the second night I slept with windows open and was not disturb by it. Great breakfast and nice to see that at 9.30 warm buns were restocked.

Location is perfect with easy access to city and great eating quarters. Staff were excellent, and anything you wanted, they were eager to help. The rooms were good size, with coffee machine provided. The only downside is that the shower is inside a bath with a very big step in and out. I'm 69 and fit. I managed fine but I can see this being a problem for some people.

The room is better than expected, and the facilities are well maintained. Before checking in, I wondered if this hotel was very old, after all, it has been open for so long. I didn't expect it to be so good. The bathroom is also very large, and the bathtub and shower are separate.

Older hotel. Rooms need some upgrades. Bathroom sink and shower have 2 separate knobs for hot and cold water, which I think is inconvenient. The knobs in the tub shower need to be turned in different directions startling with either scalding hot or freezing cold water. Air conditioning was not that great either. We came here with our 10 month old for a few days after a river cruise. Luckily for us, they were able to check us in very early. They provide a solid wood crib with an appropriate mattress and covers. They also provided a nice stokke high chair for breakfast. We had a handicapped room which gave some more room in the bathroom. The bed was comfortable and the service was great. I’m really impressed...

Don't you just hate when you pay circa €250 for a hotel room and you still have to pay for everything at the hotel? I'm sorry to say that Dorint Hotel An der Messe is like that. The breakfast is €30 extra, to use the pool is €6 extra, a bathrobe is €3,5. Other than that, the hotel in itself is pretty good.

Perfectly placed hotel if you are attending the Koln Messe. Literally across the road from the East entrance. The staff were friendly and the room was clean. The bar is good. About 20 minutes walk from the Cathedral.

Very nice hotel. Unfortunately you need to pay 6€ additional to use small swimming pool. Room was big and clean. Breakfast has a bit of everything, only smoked salmon was missing ( so if you do not eat meat and dairy product), mhmm. When I booked I asked for 2 single beds. This means to me 2 beds, so 2 people. I paid 384 euro. Which is a lot of money for 2 nights. When we arrived they told us we had to pay another 96 euro because I booked only for 1 person (not !) In the night I went to the reception as my friend was loud snoring and I couldn t sleep. It's a nice hotel, comfortable room. I missed a socket near the bed. Personally I'm not a fan of showering in the tub, but it worked. Breakfast rates are ridiculous in my opinion. Almost €30,- for a cup of coffee and a bowl of yoghurt is overrated. Parking rates could be less too, imo.
