Staff were very helpful and professional. Great location in Old Town. The rooms are alright but could use more electrical outlets, there were only two. Also, the push button shower takes a good 5 minutes to warm the water. Seriously not kidding about the last part. Outside rooms have good views as well.

Simply lovely! Just a great hotel in a great location. I am usually very picky, but this one was flawless to me. Spacious clean room with a modern design and everything looks new. We had a wonderful stay. Impressed with the location and the service. The only downside was the room was specified to have a city view and we were located on the 3rd floor with a view of the flat roof with vents making a noise 24/7.

It's not very good for big groups as there is no way a bus can normally get in and out of the parking lot. The entrance needs some work in that regard. I use this Mercure as a base when travelling to work in Germany and it's always been a welcoming, friendly and quiet place to unwind after travelling / working. We booked this hotel for our long weekend stay in Cologne, and it was a good destination. It's a quiet, clean and lovely small hotel with modern looking rooms and very nice staff. I stayed for a week in the spring of 2013 around the Easter holiday and they even gave a chocolate bunny for a gift! It's a fair half an hour walk from the train station into downtown Cologne.
