The hotel was well located and easy to find. It was clean and the beds are very comfortable. The staff was very kind and the check out process was pleasantly efficient. One could get a coffee or tea for free from the breakfast area even if not having breakfast, that is a nice touch.

Great contentious experience while staying at Holiday Inn Express, Colonge, Germany. The amibition, helpful staff, thoughtfully designed the services that required at each occasion of the daily needs. The hotel is not on the cheapest side in terms of pricing, yet the materials used in the economy rooms are simply odd. Like a bench made of the same tiles as the bathroom. The staff is super friendly, though. They even went an extra mile and provided me with a nice breakfast box when I had to leave at 5am.

Average hotel. Typical Dorinth. I personally prefer now other cheaper and newer hotels in the surrounding. But if nothing else is free this is still a solid experience. Hello, I visited the hotel for 3 days it was okay for the short term stay however staff at reception was quite professional and helpful.

We booked this hotel for a business stay with a group of colleagues. The hotel has a perfect location for the trade show visitors. The rooms are very clean with comfortable beds. The breakfast buffet was very tasty. We had a great stay at the hotel and we will come again next year!

This is a really nice hotel in the center of Cologne. We were able to walk to five Christmas Markets. There is convenient parking in a parking garage next door. Also a terrific breakfast buffet that is included in the room rate. Please note, guests must navigate a series of short staircases that connect one part of the hotel with another.

As an IHG member, I really always go to IHG hotels. This one is one of the better ones I've been to in Germany. No annoying ID check, no annoying surcharges for multiple people in the room. Typical quality for a Holiday Inn Express. Room was a bit small but not unexpected for a tourist spot. A/C in the room worked well enough but if it was an incredibly hot day, I could see that the a/c likely wouldn't be able to keep the room cool. The beds are too hard and thin, the pillows are pretty much air in a pillow case, the shower is too small, and there is a 5ft tall beer advertisement attached to the coat rack. The breakfast is great though, and if your here for the Christmas market it's 50 ft away from the entrance. If you're not here for that, get a different place.

I should have read the reviews a little closer. This hotel is owned by Früh, one of Cologne's most famous beer brands. The single room was decorated with a giant pint of Kölsch, on a wooden board.
