I had a great stay at Motel One Köln-Neumarkt. The hotel is in a fantastic location, conveniently close to the city center and right near public transport, making it easy to explore the area. The room was very clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, which made my stay pleasant and relaxing.

This place is ok and price for the room especially with the location in connection to Christmas markets was excellent. The breakfast situation is pretty terrible. They have one little bar of food and many many people coming down at the same time. We decided on the second day to go out and find breakfast. The room was small but ok for 2 nights. Not much of a view but why not put netting over the window...

Good location. Nearby supermarket and shopping area. No room service as hotel does not have any in house restaurant. Even morning breakfast is outsourced to some company so only breakfast is available. No tea coffee or any other room service. Even no kettle in the room to have warm water . Great contentious experience while staying at Holiday Inn Express, Colonge, Germany. The amibition, helpful staff, thoughtfully designed the services that required at each occasion of the daily needs. The beds are too hard and thin, the pillows are pretty much air in a pillow case, the shower is too small, and there is a 5ft tall beer advertisement attached to the coat rack. I should have read the reviews a little closer. This hotel is owned by Früh, one of Cologne's most famous beer brands. The single room was decorated with a giant pint of Kölsch, on a wooden board. Nice place with standard Ibiz rooms, very silent due to the location. Good and varied breakfast. Wi-fi sometimes non-working. Staff enough friendly. Very easy to reach from the airport (1 station distance + short walk). Avoid kitchen, which is just proposing Flammkuchen and pizza. 7

Perfect room. Comfy bed. However... our privacy was disrupted during our first day when other guests got into our room using the same key. I suppose this happens because all the rooms on the same floor have the same key, since the key also opens the middle hallway door that goes to the rooms. As an IHG member, I really always go to IHG hotels. This one is one of the better ones I've been to in Germany. No annoying ID check, no annoying surcharges for multiple people in the room. Typical quality for a Holiday Inn Express. Room was a bit small but not unexpected for a tourist spot. A/C in the room worked well enough but if it was an incredibly hot day, I could see that the a/c likely wouldn't be able to keep the room cool. Overall the rooms are nice and clean and a good size. The breakfast service is great and the pancakes are so fun just like other reviews suggest. The McDonald's is directly next door which is always a bonus and there's a bus stop down the road which can take you to the centre.
