The pool at the hotel was very quiet. We got free towels and bathrobes. We couldn’t jump into the pool but it was still nice. Very elegant lobby. In the lobby there was a bowl with cookies inside. I took a cookie and it was delicious.

Good: Hotel is close to downtown.
Concerns: The furniture in the rooms is old, the pillows are rubbish, the TV is a tiny joke. In the rooftop bar half a liter beer is 10€. Moreover, for the Euros they also have a tiny TV without sound, only. Can't you make a little effort for the guests? It's not a big deal. There were a lot of people wanted to watch the games.
And the breakfast for 27€- really, that was all you offer???

I do not recommend this hotel. They try to charge you for everything. You need to pay if you want to visit the swimming pool, breakfast, and even the glass of water in the room. Unfriendly service, and old rooms, but the location is OK. Their security deposit is more expensive than the room itself and it is not returned yet.

The positives:
Great location with the railway station & city center a 5-10 minute walk away. Extensive and beautiful lobby area with a nice bar. Rooms are decently sized as well.
Now comes the critical point.
I paid Euro 160 / night in February 2024. There is no air conditioning in the room till the ambient temperature reaches 18 degrees. Very strange rule for a hotel of this standard. So, one sleeps with the window open, and assuming a high floor room (for the view), one is entertained many times a night by the extra loud sirens of the police / ambulance etc. Not a direct cause of the hotel but adds to the overall sleep experience.
Car parking costs another Euro 25 / day and breakfast approximately Euro 26/person / day. Using the pool costs another Euro 10 / day.
At this price plus the extras, very hard to recommend as a value proposition.

We will definitely come back to it if back in this city.
The breakfast it's a huge Buffet, the rooms and clean and staff is nice... they could do with a warmer pool...

Swimming Pool and SPA charge 10 Euro extra per day. It is not really expensive and in exchange you have less crowded facilities so I think it's okay. And I like the idea, I shouldn't have the facilities fee included in my room bill as hidden cost if I would never use it.
View is great but overall set-up is outdated. The glass bottle of water tag in the room says free for SPG member where it doesn't exists anymore as it merged to Marriot many years ago, image how the property don't bother.
Room does not have Coffee and Tea, normally in exchange Marriot would offer a free Cafe at lobby but this hotel doesn't.
As many pointed out, the pillows in the room are extremely thin and I need at least 3 to have the regular height I used, where it's normal one is required in many other Marriot hotels, again it shows how the property doesn't bother.
Overall experience doesn't match the name with Westin, maybe it is something you would consider luxury in 1990, but not in 2024.
If you are paying the full price and it is in Leipzig but not a popular spot, the price is not justified. So I think this place is more for business trips with h company expenses

My recent stay at the Westin Leipzig was, as always, great and once again impressed me with the hotel in many ways. The quality of the rooms in your establishment deserves special mention. These were not only extremely clean and well-maintained, but also very tidy, which is always of great importance to me as a guest.
I would also like to praise the friendly and courteous staff who made my stay particularly pleasant. In every area of the hotel, from reception to room service, I was always looked after politely and professionally.
Another highlight of my stay was visiting your bar on the 27th floor. The view from up there is simply breathtaking and offers a fantastic view of the city of Leipzig. The service in the bar was also excellent, friendly and efficient, which further enhanced the enjoyment of the excellent selection of drinks.
In summary, my stay at the Westin Leipzig was a thoroughly positive experience that I would happily recommend. The combination of first-class accommodation, excellent service and impressive views makes your hotel a top destination in Leipzig.

Good location and decent lobby. Rooms are old and need a renovation. Breakfast is very poor for a Westin / Marriott standard, the worst I have experienced so far. The staff was unfriendly and not professional as to be expected by a Westin standard. Would recommend to search elsewhere, if you stay in Leipzig.

Had two rooms booked here for 3 nights.
Apart from terrible pillows (really flat with no volume) and a questionable cleanliness level, the worst was an absolutely dysfunctional A/C. My rooms were on the top floor and it was one day after a heatwave. Both of the rooms were boiling hot. Windows were possible to open only partially (safety measure I was told) - not enough to actually get some fresh cool air in.
I was offered a fan or a room change at around 1am. There was no availability of 2 rooms on the same floor - fine.
New room on a lower floor had the same issue. Apparently the central system can only cool or heat up depending on outside weather. If there’s a sudden colder day (like in my case) it would not provide cooling to the boiling rooms.
The staff tried to help but there was nothing that could have been done.
I shortened my stay and checked out the following morning. The rest of my stay was in the Marriott nearby. Wish I had done that in the first place.

Nice hotel very close to the main Station. A 5 min. walk from the city centre. Choice of rooms, there is bar in the downstairs lobby and also one on the 27th floor overlooking the city centre. The Pool was closed during our visit.
