The hotel is centrally located, which makes it great for getting around. Overall stay was okay, but the place feels outdated and parts could use renovation. Breakfast was average at best, and the broken coffee machine didn’t help. Decent for a short stay, but not memorable.

We have been customers for 3 days in Alte Post Hotel. I left my heart there. There are no words to describe what a wonderful place is ! All stuff is kind, try to help in everything. I want to return as soon as we can !

Great location if you want to experience a quaint Bavarian Village. The room was comfortable with windows that open to let in the cool mountain air. Breakfast options were wonderful. The hotel is located in a walkable village with lots of route options.

This was an excellent hotel for a 2 week stay. The hostess is extremely friendly and goes out of her way to help. The rooms are extremely spacious and everything is kept very clean. One of the best stays I've had, largely due to the great hostess.

Are you kidding me? Is there a more perfect view in all of Bavaria? I could have say on this balcony for a month straight! Honestly the bed was very hard, the pillows were much firmer than others in Germany (thankfully), the staff was terrific! Try the cheese board and Ettal Dunkel! Great experience. The sauna was epic! It has this massive pot/cauldron that drips water over a pile of lava rocks. They also have a cold shower thing outside where you can view the landscape. We stayed for one night last year in May and had a wonderful experience at the Posthotel Ettal. It is a beautifully appointed small hotel with excellent service and a great breakfast. I would recommend it highly and would stay there again and again.

We felt very comfortable at the Alphotel. It's not super-modern, but it was clean and well-maintained. Highlights were the view of a mountain range from the hotel room (with a balcony and small front garden) and the wonderful terrace where we enjoyed the generous breakfast. This is a great Hotel to stay if you want to explore the region of the Ammergau Alps. The service at the hotel is impeccable and the people of the region are very friendly to tourists.
