Very relaxing and elegant place, also the restaurant is excellent.

The room were spacious and clean. The staff very friendly except for the reception desk. Spa and pool were great for the kids. BEST: Location. Near the river to enjoy it in Sommer and a lot of summer activities just a few minutes away. WORST: Breakfast could be better, but it was ok.

Location: Oberammergau is a strategic location. If you have a car, it’s close to almost everything. I don’t know about public transportation. It is in Obberammergau center so you have great restaurants nearby. Accommodation: Our room was a superior deluxe one, it had two stories and it was simply incredible. Ideal place for relax with family and friends - nice mountain views, cosy restaurant, a lot of pedestrian and ski routes just a few steps away, sauna to warm you up after a walking around. A good starting point to explore Southern Bavaria with its stunning mountains, castles and villages. Wish to come back here again.

Good quality of the room. Good view ,you can see the alps mountains around you !! It’s closed to train station and town. and the hotel will give you a card you can visit all place which is contain such as Oberammergau museum,opera center etc.

Enjoyed our stay in this beautiful quiet hotel. The staff was so generous and helpful from check-in, breakfast, checking out, and everything in-between. The views from our suite and the balcony were breathtaking. The drive to Garmisch for skiing isn’t too far, but to Zugspritze I would try and find something closer.

The location is convenient, just 3-minute walk from the bus stop and 5-minute walk from the center of the town. The room is clean and tidy. I really like the decoration and atmosphere in the room and the whole building. Those models are AWESOME! The breakfast was also great, hearty and tasty. It was really touching that the owner served us himself with warm eggs and fresh different kinds of bread....

We were only a day in Oberammergau. From the quiet location in the district, and the short way to the centre we were dismissed. The price-performance ratio with a very good Breakfast is totally fine. The most beautiful hotel on this trip, opposite the monastery, you can see it by opening the window, the scenery in the fairy tale becomes a reality here, it is worth a second visit. It takes more than ten minutes to drive from here to the De Linhof Palace, and 1 hour to drive to Neuschwanstein Castle. The scenery along the way is beautiful.

This hotel exceeded expectations! Very convenient for driving tours. Opposite the hotel is a beautiful monastery (Ettal Abbey), it is best to leave some time to visit it. The surrounding countryside scenery and breakfast are also good.

We booked a Mountain View room, it’s big, clean and comfortable. Very suitable for families. In addition. Close to the town and small skiing camp. Breakfast are also good. Very recommended!

A very comfortable hotel, friendly staff, relatively spacious rooms, good breakfast. Only disappointment was dinner. We were on a package for the Passionspeil and dinner the night before was a set menu that was the worst meal we’ve ever had in a hotel! Cooked hours before and inedible.

We stayed for 2 nights and enjoyed some spa and wellness. The wellness area is beautiful and I felt very comfortable there. The massage at the hotel was excellent and super relaxing. The food was excellent, including breakfast. The rooms are nice too. There is a lot to do in the area and you can go on great hikes directly from the hotel. The mountain railway is directly opposite.

I stayed there for a week with my boyfriend to celebrate our anniversary. It was very worth it. The rooms were really cozy. We personally had a beautiful valley view, which you could really enjoy from the balcony. The hotel staff was always friendly and courteous. You always felt at home. We had a short but very nice stay at the Schillingshof. Very friendly and attentive staff in all areas, really great kitchen - we ate excellently and the eye eats too! Very nice and large swimming pool and sauna area. From the swimming pool with the large panoramic window you have a great view. Especially when the sun goes down very atmospheric! The Hotel Schillingshof proved a good base for our stay in the area to see the Passion Play. Our room was clean, quiet, and everything worked well and we enjoyed the daily maid service. The hotel pool is lovely with gorgeous views . The breakfast buffet was one of the best. We had dinner at the hotel one night and the food was very good, the service however felt rushed and our server left the impression...

Stayed here two nights. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and accommodating! The rooms were clean, comfortable, spacious, quiet, and had a private outdoor balcony. Breakfast was included and was a nice buffet. We had dinner one night and it was fresh and tasty! Indoor parking was available for a small fee, or free parking outdoors in on-site location. I'd love to stay here again sometime...

This hotel deserves 5stars. Every corner radiates with beauty and a dedication to detail and quality. I can highly recommend it to anyone looking for peace and solace from the nature. Book it with halfboard direct from its website (for two nights at least). It gives you a much better deal.

I was in Johannesbad for a short break. Very nice rooms, good comfortable beds, safe, minibar, etc. Dogs welcome. Fantastic, rich breakfast buffet. Very nice, friendly and courteous owners, always available for a chat. The staff are also very nice and friendly. Very good cosmetic treatments and massages. Very good for hiking from the hotel. I would love to come back ..

Very good food and family owned atmosphere. My room was very nice and I also like the pool and sauna area. You have the choice of a take away lunch instead of breakfast. I liked that because I had to leave early in the morning.

Hotel Maximilian was quite enchanting. The location is ideal since it sits in the heart of the village where you can find unique shops, restaurants and a beautiful cemetery with interesting headstones of past generations. The hotels decor was unique and tastefully done. The room was incredibly comfortable and clean. The staff was pleasant and attentive. Notably, the breakfast was exceptional.

Beautiful setting in Oberammergau, this hotel is in a perfect location to walk all over the town. Hiking trailing are close by and you can even walk to Ettal Monastery if you are motivated. Nice location and amenities. Bathroom in room is a little weirdly designed as there are windows into the room so your companion can see you using the bathroom. Fine for us but some people might not like it especially if you are traveling with a friend, not a partner.
