Where to stay with pets in Oberammergau

This hotel in Oberammergau, Germany had the best breakfast I have EVER had at a hotel. The breakfast had everything you can imagine from eggs, sausage, a variety of loaves of bread, juices, cereals, and lots of fruits

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Hotel Maximilian- First off, everything worked. I know this seems trivial, but so often I find that a hotel ends up having neglected features

Beautiful setting in Oberammergau, this hotel is in a perfect location to walk all over the town. Hiking trailing are close by and you can even walk to Ettal Monastery if you are motivated

this was NOT the case at Maximilian. All the niceties like heated tile floors, automatic window shades between the bathroom and bedroom, all the spa features, etc. It was all appreciated and lovely

Great bar and restaurant although I prefer to have drinks there and eat at different establishments throughout the town. I want to thank Emane who checked us in and took great care during our stay

The food was excellent and the see if impeccable! I had the gulas and it was something that I cannot describe! It was delicious and the portions were big. Also the breakfast was tasty and with a lot of options

Wonderful stay with friendly and helpful staff, quiet location with mountain view right across the street. Sauna available from 3-8pm is a treat after a day in the outdoors

Nice hotel with good standards. The room I got was fine. Good cleaning, friendly staff and good breakfast. The location is quiet and there is a spacious parking for cars in the back of the hotel

Amazing breakfast and super clean, large rooms! Wide shower and well provisioned bathroom. It was a nice walk to the city center and we enjoyed the open field with the sheep across from the hotel.

A hot Gluhwein on tap in the afternoons and the fireplace rounds off a luxurious stay. Breakfast from 8-10am is diverse and high quality. Rooms and bathrooms are immaculately clean

Parking is really good if driving (if not, its a short taxi ride from the train station). Walking distance to downtown or the NATO School was the biggest plus for me

The guest house is in a really convenient location - close to the station and a ten minute walk to the Passion Theatre. Our room had a beautiful view of the toboggan run and mountain west of town

My twin bedroom was exceptionally clean and the door opened out onto a beautiful balcony. The ensuite was compact with a smallish corner shower but had little extras like cotton buds and shower caps

Sadly I only spent a night here after the Passion play performance. A family run business at it's best. Old family photos on the walls, antique comfy chairs made it feel welcoming and friendly

Otto the owner acted in the passion play in the 90's and his nephew who served breakfast was in the play that we watched. Not forgetting his grandson who welcomed us in when we arrived

The room were spacious and clean. The staff very friendly except for the reception desk. Spa and pool were great for the kids. Near the river to enjoy it in Sommer and a lot of summer activities just a few minutes away

We come to O'Gau 3 times a year. Sonnenhof is our go to place. Friendly staff remembers your name, clean rooms and good restaurant.

Cleaning, courtesy and availability are at home. Abundant and varied breakfast. Excellent location with a beautiful view on a completely snow-covered Oberammergau

We were two years ago, and now with our little dog. From the first to the last day, we felt the three of us. Staff was always there for us, at the reception and in the Restaurant. In all cases, we're going back

I love Oberammergau and the Hotel Alte Post has the perfect location in the middle of the village. Our bedroom had a view of the town square with the stunning mountains in the background

At dinner, the hotel restaurant food was ok but not great. We were told the older, original section was full and we weren’t allowed to sit there, but we could see empty tables

Exceeded expectations in many ways. Great jacuzzi. Easy to walk to the town. Room excellent. Staff friendly (their English not great, but then my German is non existent). Breakfast great, lots of seeds, nuts etc, etc.

A great hotel with a nice breakfast and location. The room was nice and clean, and the staff was helpful. Parking is hard to find, be aware.

The included breakfast really adds to the value of a stay here, with everything from fresh breads, with every kind of spread, delicious scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, a huge selection of cheese, cereals, yogurt, and an espresso machine(!) and much more

The hotel has breakfast from 8a-10a everyday. Because we were heading out before 8am the staff put out breakfast at 730am for our family and some other guests. They are accomodating and friendly

Quiet and convenient for the couples and families with children. Make sure that you contact them directly. The booking dot com tried to charge almost twice more than the hotel directly

The Board is more than fine, the rooms are very clean and the operator was super friendly :-) You can reach the center in less than 5 minutes ' walk and we had from our room direct view on the mountain

Delicious! The hotel is slightly outside of downtown and offers free parking on site. We walked to the downtown section to explore the shops. We also followed the walking path along the river to hike the Kofel

This is a beautiful hotel right next to train & bus station, short 5 minutes walk to Passion Theatre and centre of town and a mini mart at the petrol station opposite the hotel (which opens till 10pm while we were there)

Extremely clean, view from the room astounding. Bed very comfortable and the place is dog friendly provided you warn them you are coming with one. Nothing to complain about really

We came for the Passion Play and Erol & Petra made us feel so at home. The place itself was excellent

There are more than sufficient power sockets in the room. But note that there is no elevator or air conditioning. There's shared balcony areas at 2 ends of the building where you could sit and enjoy the mountain view

The woman running the desk didn't go out of her way to explain anything about the town or facilities to us, the beds were hard (standard for hotels at this range in Germany), it was nice to have a patio with a little yard, but it's really just one step up from a "Zimmerfrei" kind of place

Location is in the middle of town. Clean room. Hosts went out of there way to help and answer questions. Breakfast had a nice spread of meat, cheese, bread, and more. Would stay again!

Dedlerhaus Oberammergau - guest house and wood carvings with nice big room. Everything was very clean and a good breakfast buffet. Very large selection. Just great. You feel at home.

Everything was excellent!!! The staff was welcoming and friendly, the room was super clean, cosy and wonderfully decorated! Every morning we were having a great breakfast! On top of that, the königscard, which was included into the room price, exceeded our expectations: museums, cable car, bike rent were for free thanks to the card! Absolutely recommend this nice hotel to everyone!

WiFi was very good and available for free, and the same account can be used in several other places in the village as it is linked with the wonderful Königscard, provided by the pension in many of their holiday offers

Nice hotel. Home... a warm home. Breakfast with products from local producers. Stays give Konigscard that gives you the opportunity to move during their stay on the bus. A good bonus and savings of Finance.

A complete breakfast with delicious local products is available every early morning: bread, cheese and several types of home made jams, above everything, are a treat and a great way to start the day

Our room was a cozy and clean double bed room, with a small balcony, facing away from the village, that can be used for dinings and drinks under the sky. The room was impeccably clean every day

Nice hotel (Bed and Breakfast) in Oberammergau. A five minute walk to the Centre of the town and restaurants. I loved my room, which included a “double bed” (two singles pushed together) which is a rarity in this town

The front desk is not manned 24/7, so coordinate with the staff if you plan to arrive after 5pm (they live in the house next door so they will respond quickly)

Cheaper rooms in Germany often only have single beds. The bathroom is modern and gorgeous. There is a pool in the summertime (also a rarity in this town)

Recently I was with a group of 15 people in the Gasthof zur Rose for dinner. Although we want to be "just sitting" all together, they gave us a separate room, which showed to the street and absolutely super and quiet

I stayed here the first time by accident due to an overbooking I ended up loving it and ensured that i booked here again on my second trip. The staff and owners are fantastic and made me feel at home

This is a wonderful lodge, especially for families. It's in easy reach of the Unterammergau and Oberammergau ski slopes, which are good for beginner skiers. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. We loved it.

There was free car parking (covered, useful as it snowed a lot!), a luxury apartment on the top floor with everything we needed and a very authentic Bavarian experience
