Where to stay in Oberammergau

Beautiful place, very tranquil!

Stayed here for 5 nights for business trip. Nice accommodations and short 5-10 minute walking distance to the shops and restaurants in the center of town. The daily breakfast was a delicious way to start the day and the food was all warm and fresh. My only complaint was in the washroom of my room, where there was a slight odor and the shower door was a little broken. Overall a great option if staying...

This is a great small hotel where we had a lovely room, enjoyed great breakfasts and appreciated the central location. Can thoroughly recommend the Hotel Turmwirt as a place to stay in beautiful Bavaria!

Very friendly and helpful family that has owned the hotel since 1934. Very clean room (hardwood floors and clean bedding). Only annoying part is the nearby church that rings its bells quite early and late every day.

We recently stayed at the AKZENT Hotel Turmwirt in Oberammergau, Germany. The hotel was centrally located which enabled us to explore the town during our stay. The owners and the staff were friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to the area!

Nice hotel (Bed and Breakfast) in Oberammergau. A five minute walk to the Centre of the town and restaurants. I loved my room, which included a “double bed” (two singles pushed together) which is a rarity in this town. Cheaper rooms in Germany often only have single beds. The bathroom is modern and gorgeous. There is a pool in the summertime (also a rarity in this town). The front desk is not manned...

The bed and Breakfast. The bathroom is very small. In particular, the distance of the toilet to the wall. Breakfast selection is rather small. Coffee is usually hot. Reception almost never occupied. But positive is the cleanliness of the rooms was on all the cases.

The rooms are very nice, the restaurant and staff is amazing. People should appreciate more this place. Very near to town center and we had a couple of lovely days here, including the lovely spa area. Breakfast was very good too.

Wonderful in every way. Stunning rooms, very clean and comfortable. Gorgeous balcony with views of the mountains. Very welcoming and helpful receptionist. I just love this hotel. I've been here before so I was excited to return. Our room was beautiful, as expected, and had an attached patio with a great view. Amazing hotel with a great location in Oberammergau. Newly renovated and nicely decorated rooms. Considering the size of the hotel and number of rooms, the fitness room is well equipped. Excellent breakfast, and extremely service minded staff! Highly recommended for both shorter and longer stays in Oberammergau!

I absolutely loved this hotel. This is the most beautiful in the area, and I would absolutely return. Wonderful, clean and spacious rooms with beautiful scenery. Loved it all! Great food, perfect spa, delicious breakfast and the staff was lovely.

This hotel was very comfortable and the Reception staff were excellent, especially Sara who helped me get to the Passion Play in time, she was a star. I loved the location.

Good quality of the room. Good view ,you can see the alps mountains around you !! It’s closed to train station and town. and the hotel will give you a card you can visit all place which is contain such as Oberammergau museum,opera center etc.

Enjoyed our stay in this beautiful quiet hotel. The staff was so generous and helpful from check-in, breakfast, checking out, and everything in-between. The views from our suite and the balcony were breathtaking. The drive to Garmisch for skiing isn’t too far, but to Zugspritze I would try and find something closer.

Room was clean, a lot of space. Modern and comfortable. Very good breakfast. People working here are top notch! We are definately coming back. Thank you so much for a great holiday!

The location is convenient, just 3-minute walk from the bus stop and 5-minute walk from the center of the town. The room is clean and tidy. I really like the decoration and atmosphere in the room and the whole building. Those models are AWESOME! The breakfast was also great, hearty and tasty. It was really touching that the owner served us himself with warm eggs and fresh different kinds of bread....

Very relaxing and elegant place, also the restaurant is excellent.

The room were spacious and clean. The staff very friendly except for the reception desk. Spa and pool were great for the kids. BEST: Location. Near the river to enjoy it in Sommer and a lot of summer activities just a few minutes away. WORST: Breakfast could be better, but it was ok.

Used Arnika many times, and stayed in a newly refurbished suite - really excellent standard with bath and shower and plenty of space. Great greeting from the owners and spotless in the room and excellent breakfast despite the Covid restrictions - first choice when inOberammergau for me.

Stayed at Arnika several times. Listed as a hotel, felt like a small gasthaus. Food was good-excellent/was always happy with meals there. Parking is really good if driving (if not, its a short taxi ride from the train station). Walking distance to downtown or the NATO School was the biggest plus for me.

Location: Oberammergau is a strategic location. If you have a car, it’s close to almost everything. I don’t know about public transportation. It is in Obberammergau center so you have great restaurants nearby. Accommodation: Our room was a superior deluxe one, it had two stories and it was simply incredible. It was one of the best we had in Germany. Very surprising (in a good way!). Sparkling clean...

Ideal place for relax with family and friends - nice mountain views, cosy restaurant, a lot of pedestrian and ski routes just a few steps away, sauna to warm you up after a walking around. A good starting point to explore Southern Bavaria with its stunning mountains, castles and villages. Wish to come back here again.

Such a cool place to stay while you are in Oberammergau, great view from the outside balcony from my room. This a wonderful place to stay with a kind and helpful staff. They have a great breakfast for guests and try to provide food to your tastes. If I can make it back to this town again I certainly will only stay here.

This was an excellent hotel for a 2 week stay. The hostess is extremely friendly and goes out of her way to help. The rooms are extremely spacious and everything is kept very clean. One of the best stays I've had, largely due to the great hostess.

The room was very clean and beautiful and the owners are super nice and helping. We asked for later check in, because of arrival time in the evening and they manage that without any issue.

My husband and I stayed two nights at the hotel. All the staff was so warm and welcoming, especially Errol. They serve a traditional German breakfast; soft boiled eggs, sliced meat, and cheeses. Very good hotel. Quiet and convenient for the couples and families with children. Make sure that you contact them directly. The booking dot com tried to charge almost twice more than the hotel directly. The breakfast was perfect with huge variety of cheese and meet.

The hotel has breakfast from 8a-10a everyday. Because we were heading out before 8am the staff put out breakfast at 730am for our family and some other guests. They are accomodating and friendly. They also speak very good English.

Hotel with parking in a very good location. Good breakfast. We were with three and were offered a mezzanine room first, very spacious inside, but very bare, old and lifeless interior. Balcony very small overlooking the parking. We had originally booked another room, and could switch without problem. Staff was helpful. Hotel with nice entry and open space parking. Stuff friendly, perfect location and surroundings. Unfortunately we didn’t stay in the main building which seemed to be not so old as the one behind. Room was spacious but many things inside were dated and there was a sense of humidity while the temperature wasso high, we couldn’t sleep.In addition the temperature was locked, no modification allowed....

I have enjoyed my stay very much. The family is lovely, loved my room, they offer a good breakfast, and the girls that came to make up my room for the two weeks I've been here are wonderful. I would definitely recommend them and will be coming back.

Everything about the rooms were nice and the bathroom was decent too. Unfortuantely there were a lot of problems with the wifi, so I couldn't work that night. Everything else was pretty good.

We have been visiting the Hotel Landhaus Feldmeier since 1997. We keep coming back because we feel like family here. The food is outstanding, the staff are very nice, and Sabine is doing an excellent job carrying on the traditions. They have a great New Year's Eve (Silvester-Abend) party!

It is a quiet, simple inexpensive hotel, offering the exact same selection for its decent free breakfast of breads, cold cut meats, sliced cheeses, boiled eggs, yogurt and Muesli, with juice and coffee. There is no restaurant or bar on site, but there is a room on the ground floor in which you can receive guests and friends.

Super clean and organised. Bed isncomfortable, bethroom is great. Very well located. Breakfast is super good and delicious. Staff are very helpful. The only point is that some guests can be very noisy and you can hear them from your room.
