We liked the most the warm welcome , our room so large and comfortable and the breakfast . Oberammergau is very nice town in a good position to visit all Ludwig II residences and Ettal Abbey . The hotel is in central position with free parking in front ( the parking pass is kindly offered ) and if you want to explore the town you can easily walk around .

Wonderful stay with friendly and helpful staff, quiet location with mountain view right across the street. Sauna available from 3-8pm is a treat after a day in the outdoors. Are you kidding me? Is there a more perfect view in all of Bavaria? I could have say on this balcony for a month straight! Honestly the bed was very hard, the pillows were much firmer than others in Germany (thankfully), the staff was terrific! Try the cheese board and Ettal Dunkel! But that view..... you can't beat that view....

Great experience. The sauna was epic! It has this massive pot/cauldron that drips water over a pile of lava rocks. They also have a cold shower thing outside where you can view the landscape. The included breakfast was also really nice. If you are out this way, I would stay here (as long as you don’t mind not having A/C in the rooms, which is basically all of Germany).

The most beautiful hotel on this trip, opposite the monastery, you can see it by opening the window, the scenery in the fairy tale becomes a reality here, it is worth a second visit. It takes more than ten minutes to drive from here to the De Linhof Palace, and 1 hour to drive to Neuschwanstein Castle. The scenery along the way is beautiful.

This hotel exceeded expectations! Very convenient for driving tours. Opposite the hotel is a beautiful monastery (Ettal Abbey), it is best to leave some time to visit it. The surrounding countryside scenery and breakfast are also good.

We felt very comfortable at the Alphotel. It's not super-modern, but it was clean and well-maintained. Highlights were the view of a mountain range from the hotel room (with a balcony and small front garden) and the wonderful terrace where we enjoyed the generous breakfast. Points deducted for the bitter coffee and the lack of a refrigerator in the room. We would stay there again anytime.

We spent one night here during a motorcycle tour. The accommodation was well-maintained and clean, with outdoor parking for the motorcycles. The sauna and pool area are available for use. We couldn't use the restaurant because it was closed on Sundays.

This is a great Hotel to stay if you want to explore the region of the Ammergau Alps. The service at the hotel is impeccable and the people of the region are very friendly to tourists. This is a quaint hotel right in front of the mountain "Hörnle" - a great area to Ski and sleigh ride. A very comfortable hotel, friendly staff, relatively spacious rooms, good breakfast. Only disappointment was dinner. We were on a package for the Passionspeil and dinner the night before was a set menu that was the worst meal we’ve ever had in a hotel! Cooked hours before and inedible.

We stayed for 2 nights and enjoyed some spa and wellness. The wellness area is beautiful and I felt very comfortable there. The massage at the hotel was excellent and super relaxing. We stayed at this hotel for 8 days. The service was very good, the breakfast excellent. The room was of a good standard, as was the bathroom, if a little on the small side. The location in the village is very quiet and only a few hundred meters from the "center". We will be back, especially because of the rich and high quality breakfast.

We had a great stay at the Hotel. Super location on outskirts of town. Quiet.
