I loved everything (reception, spa, cat, my peace and relaxation) until I encountered the waiter with no hair.
On 2 occasions I saw and heard him treat other staff rude and speak down to them - in front of guests!!! That’s a NO-GO.
It made me feel so uncomfortable, that all relaxations from the sauna and my appetite were gone again.
Sorry, you have to find new staff that’s not ruining the vibe for everyone…

Worst hotel I've been to so far, they treat their own employees bad, I've seen it first hand. Turned right around and found another hotel.

Hotel location is Perfect, rooms are great. Service is terrible. I asked if it was possible to fulfill my glass of bottle with water and they asked me to fulfill it in the bathroom with a terrible attitude. For a 4star hotel I would expect the staff to be a little nicer and be able to solve a basic need like providing water. I would not come again.

We spent a wonderful weekend with friends in March at the Tatzlwurm. The service was wonderful as always, the Kiesl family and their staff gave us a warm welcome - feel-good factor times 10! We had a very nice room with a view of the bathing lake, cleanliness and comfort left nothing to be desired. As part of the half-board, there was a delicious menu, plus an excellent selection of wines, all of which was served to us by our charming waiter Patrick, I have rarely seen anyone who was so attentive. A big compliment here! The staff and their friendliness and willingness to serve are what make this house so special. You can tell that this house is family-run, Mrs. Kiesl is always present, the alien attention to detail can be seen in the beautiful decorations. The welcome was warm, the service staff are quick and competent, and Daniel should also be mentioned here, who made us laugh with some of his sayings. Thank you for the great weekend - we will definitely be back!

This review is a little late. We stayed at the hotel in September last year and were very disappointed. We wanted to continue using the wellness area after checking out, but we would have had to pay €80. That's a disgrace considering the room prices. There are other ways to do it. The service at reception was terrible. Probably the owner or hotel manager of the hotel. I was also more than disappointed with the service in the restaurant. I wrote an email to the hotel after the weekend, but I'm still waiting for a response. The rooms and wellness area were very nice.

Beautiful spa area, soothing treatments, delicious food with friendly service "Gspusi", the host family takes great care to ensure that you have a pleasant stay. The saunas are open from 1 p.m. The three of us girls thank you for the lovely day spa... see you soon 😊

Amazing place, great service and setting. Facilities are brilliant with a great gym, the views are delightful and the local area is really nice. The food is great too

We went to the day spa because of the rainy weather, because the modern homepage lured us in. It wasn't a complete disappointment, but it wasn't really worth the price either. The only modern thing about the spa area is the quiet beach area, but unfortunately you're rather cold there. The promised warm sand wasn't there. The pool area is quite old, the showers hardly have any warm water, and the steam sauna could do with a renovation. The saunas can only be used from 1 p.m. onwards. That can waste half the day. Then we had a massage, but it was super gentle. A proper full-body massage is different. It was clear that the lady wasn't in the mood. The paths are endless in this hotel. In the wellness area there is only flavoured water, no tea or fruit. For lunch you have to get dressed and go to the restaurant, which is completely overpriced. €60 for two apple spritzers and two turkey schnitzels with chips. For cake you have to get dressed again and go to the restaurant. We were told that you can go into the restaurant in your bathrobe, but then you sit there oily and sweaty among all the other guests. Hygiene is also different. Only the staff at the reception and the bar were very nice and helpful. We won't be coming back.

My 3-star rating is due to the lack of warmth from the staff, which is what makes a stay seem completely successful. In my opinion, "warm hospitality" should be exemplified by the management and then actively practiced by each individual employee; unfortunately, in the "fiery Tatzelwurm", the lack of warmth starts with the boss Andreas - what a pity. Otherwise, this hotel is an incredibly beautiful, relaxing place, which conveys a cosy atmosphere through its wonderful decoration in a rustic mountain style and thus ensures peace and relaxation. Nevertheless, we will not stay in this hotel again, as the hospitality is much more noticeable in other hotels in this category.
