NH München Ost Conference Center Hotel

I stayed in this hotel recently for a business trip to a nearby office. First impressions were quite good - the reception area was clean and modern, and the check-in was quick and efficient, and the staff were friendly.
I have stayed in a couple of other NH hotels previously, and I was a bit disappointed with the quality of the room compared to other experiences. It was a little old-fasioned and dated, and there were a few problems. One bedside light did not work, and the light in question was also very badly placed - I hit my head on it every time I leaned to get something from the bedside table. There was also no convenient plug socket near the bed, and only a couple on the other side of the room at the desk. The heating and air-conditioning system was hard to understand and did not seem to work efficiently. There was no clear way to cool the room, regardless of setting. I should mention that I didn't check with reception for help for this, and perhaps they could have assisted.
The bathroom was fine, and clean - the shower had excellent pressure, although was quite narrow. However, when I arrived, the hair conditioner was empty. I left a note on the bathroom counter asking the housekeeping staff to re-fill it (in German, to avoid confusion), but they did not do so, although the note was removed when I returned.
The bed was comfortable, but the choice of pillows was strange - one very hard, thick pillow and one that was papr-thin. There was also only a single duvet for the double bed, which is quite a typically German thing, but I expected a full-size duvet in an international hotel chain, which would have been more comfortable.
Breakfast was also fine, but not great. The hot food selection was very poor, although the cold selection was acceptable.
I would probably not return to this hotel, as there is a Moxy hotel close by which, in my experience, is better in terms of facilities, quality and comfort.
