The customer service was above and beyond from all the staff, from the breakfast, lunch, dinner, bar, cleaning, they were all brilliant, absolutely amazing! I can't say how beautiful they made our holiday, they strive to help every day, they are all so friendly and welcoming and they all go over and beyond to make your stay that extra bit more magical

We absolutely loved our stay! Service was impeccable and the best I’ve ever seen! Ony, Lizbeth, Antonio, Richard, and the beach bartender were phenomenal! Housekeeping did an amazing job, and the resort team fully felt like family! We miss them all already! Special love to Stephanie!

You can always find delicious food to eat at anytime, the breakfast is delicious, dinner offers many options, Japanese, Italian and Spanish foods. Can’t wait to return to this family oriented resort

Entertainment was new everyday even the outside games were different lot of nice people

Overall it was great, but at some point the AC in my room did break

Asides from the the service from everyone was impeccable our roomkeeper Maritza was phenomenal and very attentive to us!! Gracias Maritza! Do not buy your souvenirs at the hotel i bought 6 bracelets that totaled to 2500 DOP which is equivalent to around 40 bucks

Older looking rooms but very clean and air-conditioning excellent. The resort had delicious buffet, snack bars and restaurants

Place has a very amazing view between beach and mountains, mattresses are a little to hard, all the employees were very nice and helpful, pool is big and well maintained, my boyfriend only had an issue with a cleaning lady that she wouldn’t let him go in the bathroom without a towel just because he was wet

Checked in to The Grand Paradise on Saturday and I absolutely love it here. It is beyond beautiful and the service at Cooee is amazing. Everyone here really goes the extra mile to make you happy, I never want leave.

Great part of the hotel. Nice employee and great atmosphere. Calm and relaxing holiday you will have for sure. And if you like business and entertainment you walk 2 min to the other pool and you can enjoy that

Can recommend the upgrade to cooee as it gives your stay besides an exclusive touch, access to vip area, a frequently changing snack bar as well as table service

It's a good budget all inclusive, especially if you get access to the VIP area (which I believe came with a junior suite). The buffer food is okay, but the reserved restaurants were pretty good

The housekeeping staff for the new room was amazing and very attentive. All inclusive means all inclusive. Food was good but changed daily

Must have a golf cart if you want to go anywhere comfortably. First room we had, housekeeping was sub-par. Due to terrible May rain, our room flooded but the desk gave us a new room the next night

We chose this location out of several other locations for our honeymoon; you’d think that would matter, but it doesn’t if you’re not a member, haha! While writing this review, some random elderly man walked into the lobby piano and started playing concert-quality

The staff and the service are great and the night presentations are really interesting. I strongly recommend this place to relax on vacation as you feel home

I stayed here for 3 days in April 2018. The reviews about disrepair are accurate and some of the food is just average. That said, the staff was perfectly polite and helpful. Despite the disrepair, the place is immaculate

I've visited this resort a lot and I simply love it. The best thing about it I would say is the environment, which has an incredible positive vibe

Don’t have high expectations, it is a simple hotel and far from all inclusive Mexican hotels , the beach isn’t great, the room was smelly

The complex is enormous and you will definitely need a golf cart to get around which is costly per day but worth it! They were super helpful in getting everything I needed planned for my 40th

However, it did take a long time to get drinks and they were not that good. We went to the rum factory and got some bottles and drank those, they were delicious

Totally different than Punta Cana. This has a way more Dominican vibe, more music, more local people on vacation, and an excellent array of food and beverages

Do recommend bringing beach towels, only one supplied in room and no where to exchange it or get a second if there is more then one guest in the room

Food is amazing different taste of every country, free restaurants with reservations, china food, Italia and seafood. Security guards everywhere as well cameras. Comfortable rooms with fridges rechargeable

Wifi for a fee is no longer up to date and should be included. Alcoholic drinks in the all-inclusive offer tend to be cheaper and lower quality. You pay extra for better quality

Typical all-inclusive resort that checks most boxes on what you would expect. The property isn't too big, and there's a path that leads you on a 5 min walk to the beach

From a European perspective, this is not the best place to spend an All Inclusive holiday. It can be compared to the level of facilities in Bulgaria

the resort is so relaxing yet also has a lot to do. it is very safe with very helpful & caring people

Something that was the biggest problem for us was the room - the hair dryer in our room did not work (we managed to replace it after 24 hours, but unfortunately with a still non-working one), we also had a problem with detergents - there was no shower gel in the room - none of the detergents were also refilled

I booked a vacation to this resort through Cheap Caribbean And I will never do that again. American Airlines lost my luggage and the day that I arrived at the resort they couldn’t find my reservation in the system

Bourbon street bar, Jazz & Blues restaurants are all a short walk away from your suites so food and drinks are never far away

The staff are friendly , and approachable. Everything is all inclusive, which is a plus. But the drinks tend to be watered down a bit, and cheap alcohol is used

There are several restaurants throughout the resort and many of them need reservations so keep that in mind. The room I had was spacious, had a balcony, a jacuzzi, and walk in shower

The staff are very friendly and helpful. Make sure to bring change for tipping the staff. The resort does try to get you to sit through a presentation for different memberships at the resort

The facilities are very good on the outside, but inside the rooms they should renovate everything, very old, the food is average, very average, at the buffet, always the same food, they didn't have sugar-free Coca Cola in the restaurants or saccharin anywhere, a problem for me since I am diabetic

I enjoyed my stayed especially the beach so relaxing. Entertainment is on point great job to the staff. also have acess to other resort for coffee, icecream, pizza, pool and beach etc

The room turned out to be small. I booked a room for an adult, two teenagers, and a child, and they gave me a room with only one bed. It was really a bit uncomfortable to have all four of us sleep in one bed.

The beach was very rocky and the shore had a lot of seaweed. The evening ambience was very nice with music and performance to keep you occupied through the night

The check-in staff needs to provide more information about the property because the room doesn't have a charging outlet. The phone only has the European system

The downfall is the rooms is outdated and no wifi

Pros: It's still Caribbean experience, very beautiful beach, few free activities that are not free in resort normally, excellent staff who is doing their best to attend to your need. Restaurants are above average

I have been to this property probably at least 7 times, i love nearly everything however the rooms need to be checked prior to checkin, i almost always have experienced an issue with wifi, refrigerator not working or AC just not cold enough

Or maybe coffee available in our rooms to tide us over until they were ready to serve it. I was very impressed with how they had multiple daily entertainment for everyone in the family

Everything about our stay there was excellent. The only thing that would have made it perfect is if coffee was available maybe an hour earlier

The location is perfect if you are looking to go on excursions. we did 5 days worth of excursions and had the most amazing time

The lady who is now at the front desk downgraded us “because that’s what you paid for”. The balcony lock is broken in our new room so we can’t go outside but I can see how nice it is from the window

However, it is as advertised: quiet. The entertainment shuts down at 11pm, so if you're inclined to want to want to stay up late, you'll have to find ways to entertain yourself

I live in Puerto Plata for a year now but on weekends, my husband and I travel all over the Dominican Republic to different resorts. I’m staying at this resort as I write this for 2 nights,3 days

Just returned from a week here (1-8 Jun), the low season! We were in search of quiet and relaxing and that's exactly what we got. The first 5 days we were there, there were definitely less than 50 other people

The pool area was nice and being an adults only resort it was quiet and serene. The beach is only a 5 minute walk or they have a shuttle take you there. They have breakfast lunch and dinner which is included

Beautiful tropical views. Did not play the course or stay at the villas, but rode horses near the Playa Dorada property and on the beach. Fun times! Playing 18? Maybe next time.

Great "all inclusive" resort when it isn't raining

Would go back for quiet vacation spot. Clean well appointed rooms, friendly staff. Don’t know enough about what else to do around town but for a quiet, affordable, warm climate getaway it’s a sleeper in my book
