Best Hotels in Puerto Plata

We had a wonderful holiday with these guys, attentive to all our needs. Fabulous staff that work so hard to please you. The food was plenty and a good variety to cater for all needs.

I like the food it was very good and the stiff was very nice and the room was very big and clean and good music

The property was nice but the rooms have not been updated in a while. The hotel seems to cater towards a more european tourist base as the rooms have european outlets rather than the standard voltage of 110-120V

The beach was very rocky and the shore had a lot of seaweed. The evening ambience was very nice with music and performance to keep you occupied through the night

The facilities are very good on the outside, but inside the rooms they should renovate everything, very old, the food is average, very average, at the buffet, always the same food, they didn't have sugar-free Coca Cola in the restaurants or saccharin anywhere, a problem for me since I am diabetic

The room turned out to be small. I booked a room for an adult, two teenagers, and a child, and they gave me a room with only one bed. It was really a bit uncomfortable to have all four of us sleep in one bed.

If you stay for a few days you definitely will love it I'm sure! Just got back. We had good time but there’s a lot of room for improvement. The restaurants service needs to be a little more quick but the food is great

What an amazing resort! The food and the staff are fantastic and I can’t wait to return. The entertainment staff Henry and Carlos keep the resort laughing and make sure you are enjoying yourself

The staff in the club room Olvi , Santa make the best drinks and give top notch hospitality! Can’t forget Alendrea and Benito at the pool Bar and the housekeeping staff

Jacqueline who does the excursion is wonderful. So many options and things to do. The food was good, you just have to make sure you make reservations in advance for the restaurants or you'll be at the buffet

They are friendly and will back off, but there are many. They all have shirts with numbers. The city tour was a lot of fun 😁 All in all, a great holiday and will likely return

The resort is a pretty quick ride from the airport which was nice. The staff and service we received was excellent and very friendly. The nightly shows are well produced and were a lot of fun to go watch

Really enjoyed our stay with the Marien. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The buffet had many great choices which changed daily. The room was kept clean daily

5 stars just because the food offerts are not that abbondante and the rooms, even very clean, needs some renovations. And the internet, even covering including the beach, is not the best

The food is nothing fancy, but as long as you go early, there are lots of options. We booked spa couple massages twice (at the start and the end of our trip), and the entire spa staff was incredible

We stayed here for 7 days for our honeymoon. The location is amazing - being only 20 minutes from the airport. We received amazing service, especially from Roberto, the drinks were nice and strong

Japanese and Italian restaurants are very good. Good entertainment at all day long. Thank you King Kong for a nice entertainment and Satos the server in the buffet

Beautiful facilities and grounds. The Japanese restaurant is the best at no additional expense. The main buffet has a large amount of seating and very good food

Best dances and shows at night! The workers here let you have the best time and will make you laugh! Food is amazing from breakfast, snack, lunch and to dinner! Enjoy every moment here

Excellent resort- beautiful scenery and flowers. The staff at the Sunclub were excellent especially Julissa and Nichole. Elizabeth at the buffet great service and always knew what you needed

The best little resort we have been too. We have been here 4 times and just love it and very very sad that it has closed. All of the Staff are just wonderful, friendly and nice

This was our second time at this resort and it was just as good as our last visit. We are absolutely devastated for it to be closing at the end of April

We stayed in the Sun Club Adult section which was the best. private bar, private pool, room service. We are going to miss it very mush

So sad this place is being torn down and turned into luxury condos. This was my best stay of any resort and that saying a lot

It’s always been one of our favourites. It’s clean, people are great, food is ok, with decent selections, and 3 good choices for a la carte restaurants. They have an interactive restaurant as well

They are pretty aggressive with it. Just be firm and they will go away. Same with the vendors on the beach

The property itself is really nice. However, they need to work on their entertainment for it’s a bit antiquated. They are also selling vacation club memberships and because of their approach found it to be annoying

the staff and the food was great the hotel administration wasn't great and the check in process suck , wanna to charge extra for a 1:30 early check in. Our ac was broken took for ever to get another room

Some staff like reservations and beach staff are meh they act like if they're tired of you but then some other staff like the one at the buffett are really exceptional doing everything with a smile

We really enjoyed ourselves at the hotel. And we really enjoyed ourselves with the staff who are always there to make sure we have a good time. Very good entertainment, especially with Erika playing darts 🤣

The shows on the stage are super fun and the pool staff and games are awesome :) lisselotte was my favourite staff member! She is super fun and brings up the energy for everyone! The beach bar is fun at night and they have snack bar open if you need

Can recommend the upgrade to cooee as it gives your stay besides an exclusive touch, access to vip area, a frequently changing snack bar as well as table service

The gift shop had anything you needed on the fly but was fairly overpriced. The resort grounds were perfectly kept and the gardeners were sweet. The restaurants and snack huts were great and the food was always amazing

The new name of this property is unknown or if it will run as a resort. This is what every one who would like to return to the Grand Paradise Playa Dorada would like to know once this information is disclosed

Large welcoming compound a short way down a dirt road. Has excellent food, a little river to take a dip, many activities organized here. Public transport at the main road. Suitable for large families or solo travelers

The facilities are excellent she has upgraded the rooms and the there is hot water and excellent Wi-Fi and food if you want it. It's a comfortable place to stay for a long time or a couple of days

The good parts were the price (although after staying, I wish the price were lower), the view, and (for us) the convenience of being in Munoz

She will gladly help you schedule the Awesome Horseback Riding Excursions I adore, as well as beach trips, go cart riding, trips to nearby Puerto Plata, volunteering or tours of the Hattian Village in Munos, or anything else a guest may desire

SubcampDR is a wonderful place to experience the real Dominican Republic. The staff is wonderful mainly the owner/manager Diane Pellerin. She's committed to making every person feel welcome and a part of the family

If you are looking for a Real Dominican experience I highly recommend Suncamp. I cannot wait to schedule my next visit and enjoy another Sancocho Feista with all the wonderful people I met while visiting

Security is excellent. Food is very good. Staffs are very friendly. Location is on point. The safe is large, can fit a whole laptop, and it code (not key).

This hotel and restaurant is the best , The owner ,the staff , the security and even the housekeeping were amazing ,everyone including the wait staff and bartenders at the bar/restaurant went above and beyond to make me feel welcome , i had the best bday week ever at the Sosua inn hotel , My room was spotless and very comfortable with a pretty cool furnished balcony ,and just minutes from 2 beaches

The rooms an amazing for a 3rd world country and they have very hot consistent water. Room service is great they even do you laundry for a small fee. The food downstairs is actually good unlike the all inclusive hotels

I've been to Sosua before but this was my first stay at this hotel. The location is perfect; halfway between the night life and playa de Sosua. The adjacent restaurant and bank right across the street are very convenient

We stayed here for a week at the beginning of august. Great hotel in the centre of sosua. Water pressure in the shower is very good. Air con is strong and works very well. The queen size bed is very big and comfy

New garden is a popular Hotel for Sousa. Restaurant and swimming pool available here. I recommend this hotel for single men, couples who are open minded. This is definitely not a family structured hotel

Everthing was good .. you feel like home .. but one thing is that i was literally chocked while taking a bath in the bathroom .. hope that they ve fix it

Place is on a quiet street but near lots of restaurants and nightlife. The room was clean, had what I needed, and the balcony and pool, which was empty when I was there, were nice

The room was clean and comfortable but dated. The air conditioner is in the bedroom but was able to cleap the entire apartment cool. The one television was in the living room

During the cleaning they took our personal tooth brush an cream. at the next day no one was available to replace it. i had to wait until somebody showed up in order to brush my tooth even though it was a 24/7 service

The hotel room was clean and room service fixed your room(if you wanted them too). The drinks and food were very good. The free breakfast can use a little more portions

I stayed here back in May and forgot to write a review then, but I have to say this is the best hotel I've stayed at in Sosua

To conclude this review I think the UrCa has a little way to go to become great but its definately a good place to stay on a budget. The rooms are not luxurious but you don't go there to spend all the time in the room

Another good thing about this hotel is they take your safety seriously if you bring back a "companion" to your room. They have a blackllist of "troublesome chicas" so helps prevent future problems

I had the pleasure of meeting the owners, also very nice people who want to help with advice, recommendations etc. if you get the chance to meet either of them don't wast it

I had a very pleasant experience at this hotel. The room was very spacious with air-conditioning and flat screen TV. Right in the middle of town, so it's easy access to everything, including the beach

I was there with my 3 cats 🐈 because there were people operating the animals there for free. It’s a beautiful place.

Great place to spend a weekend

- The apartment is beautifully renovated and very well equipped, and the garden with the pool is cozy and well maintained. - It was wonderfully quiet at night and the breakfast was excellent

- Nikki, the owner, is a wonderful host, communication with her was perfect and she was very flexible when I had to change my flight. The transfer to and from the airport was also perfectly organized

This hotel is so good! The staff & service were great, the food was good as well, location near to the beach, nice & quiet area, I definitely coming back.

  The shower was bigger and better than most I've had staying in the DR.   The place was super quiet, which for me is a good thing

Wow, Garden by the Sea is a little Oasis in Sosua. Nikki is an incredible host, and really makes the effort to help her guests feel comfortable and welcomed. The rooms were very clean, and it was so easy to feel relaxed

My bf and I stayed here after backpacking around DR a bit, and we ended up staying our last week here because it was very comfortable. Thank you, Nikki for being wonderful! We love Bella and miss you both already :)

Great Hotel to enjoy family time!

Dinner at the restaurant was outstanding. Breakfast and lunch were solid and very good. The lemonade mint ginger drink was phenomenal. Lovely views of the ocean from the restaurants and yoga shala

Lovely place! Natura Cabana was perfect! Excellent food, steps from the beach, staff were lovely, massage was great - what more could you need? In particular, Victor went above and beyond and helped my wife get her AirPods back after we had left for another hotel in a different part of the island

This was our mini honeymoon my husband and I took before we left the Dominican Republic and we had the best time at Natura Cabana! So thankful to the whole team for providing a great experience

Our stay at the property was out of this world. The food was good, only hiccup was dinner. They try to create an American style menu which is okay, but would have preferred more local cuisines

However, when you ask the staff to use the gym, they say it is for the owners only. Why are they posting pictures of the gym if one cannot use it?? False advertising- not good. Other than that, it was a great experience

I wouldn’t say it was horrible, but I’ve travelled the world and love trying new cuisines (I’ve eaten off street vendors in Bangkok at 2am lol) but the issue here wasn’t that it was ‘different’ from what we were used to

We really liked staying here. The location is 2 blocks off the main drag which can feel a little isolated but we had no issues walking to and from the beach.

VIP Villa has pool inside the villa....the villa itself is a bit run down...but it is a relaxing place to spend a couple days with a pool.

This Villa was very private, off the road Dominican country style, great for groups.

You need to go down a few hundreds yards. But that makes it more private Supermarkt is right around the corner and really nice restaurant a few steps away. The main beach bars are a few min walk

Quite, locations. Next door to Janet supermarket ( read the expiration date on the food from there) Clean rooms Clean pool. Only down for from me in there's no washer and dryer in unit.

Charge an extra buck or 2 in the reservation and give free coffee in the morning. You have to walk pretty far to find a good cup of coffee. I would recommend this place as the best place to stay in Cabarete

This place is WOW! It is the nices place in town hands down. It sits right on the beach, has beautiful garden, pool and 2 jacuzzi. I hot the 1 br without a kitchen

Best bang for your buck. It should be rated higher than a 3 star.

There's a bigger one with fully equipped kitchen and living room, or 2 brm apt also. The noisy street is far and blocked of so only thing you hear are the waves of the ocean. The beach doesn't have safe swimming

When we here there alot of your guest had late evening flight just like me and wanted to check out later then 10am which is to early! Overall I had the best stay at your location!! Thank you 😊

This locations is excellent if you looking for peace and quite! I really enjoy the hospitality and how the resort workers cater to your needs. Very low key no heavy party nor feeling insecure

We left our stuff at the pool area with the sense of security and return nothing missing! Also so far away from the street vendors and heavy public foot traffic which is a plus

You can take a long nap and absolutely nothing happens to your stuff or you at the beach! It's close to the center of the beach town a good 20 mins walk on the beach to where the kite surfers and regulars restuarants / shops

Beach is awesome, that is out of the way so you don't get bugged with vendors,. Not a far walk to kite surfing spot for excellent people watching, but nice to have some privacy back at the resort

Clean, well maintained, and a great staff. It is small, with few activities, but great location on a slower part of the island. Food was really good, made to order

My husband & I had a wonderful experience at Camp David Ranch. The atmosphere was cozy & welcoming, and the staff were attentive & friendly

We especially enjoyed the Grilled Octopus & Filet Mignon which were cooked to perfection & beautifully presented. We’ll definitely be coming back and I highly recommend this place to friends and family!

However, there is usually 1 staff member there at all times. The entrance is a gate with lock. If they leave, the front door is solid with a digital lock which is attached to your key

No safe deposit box for items. Room has cable TV with spanish and english channels. Room has AC unit (very quite) and fan to stay cool. GREAT WIFI!!! Simple door key and lock

It is clean, tidy and bright, the service of each staff is sincere and comfortable, and the price is affordable. There is a small restaurant on the sixth floor where you can dine at a cheap price

What we liked the most - you have 15% discount for a lot of restaurants, and also getting 2 welcome drinks

This is a very nice hotel near the city center. I stayed there on two separate occasions. There is a new section where the rooms are completely renovated and have balconies, which is very nice

The old section room I was in was not renovated and did not have any windows. Service was great and the location was great so if you spend the night there ask for a room with a balcony
