Cofresi Palm Beach & Spa Resort - All Inclusive

So the pictures of the resort look great. Let’s start with the positives. The ocean view from where you can hang out at the cabanas is nice right in front of the resort. If you walk just a little ways down the beach it gets disgusting pretty fast. The drinks and service is great. They have a lot of staff. The spa , though limited on amenities, was a nice massage.

What I didn’t like. NONE of the food. Even the “nice” restaurants on site. Everything seemed like bad quality cruise ship food. I was expecting to get to eat fresh seafood since we were in the middle of the ocean… none. It just wasn’t good. Breakfast/lunch/dinner.

I can’t speak for all the rooms but we had VIP wristbands bands cause I paid extra. The room has great AC but everything felt old. The shower doesn’t get hot. The towel wrack and shelf is literally falling off the wall. Our door has a lock issue that sometimes locks and other times don’t. No one came to fix it even after calling for that.

One of the worst parts of this visit was the fact that every few seconds someone is interrupted your vacation with trying your get you to buy stuff. It was very off putting.

I’ve traveled a lot of places and I can for sure say I won’t stay here again.

One star is very generous for this "resort." You WILL be forced to attend a vacation membership, aka timeshare presentation under the guise of getting a ride to breakfast, then your driver will wait for you until you're done and won't let you leave until they drive you to the presentation, saying they don't get paid unless you attend, blah, blah, blah. It's gross how they blindside you. We had no AC or hot water for the entire week we were there despite calling daily for someone to come fix it. We had several cockroaches throughout our stay, and the toilet was leaking all over the floor. You get approached daily from multiple people wanting you to check out their gift shops, cigar shops, spa, etc. They are relentless, and this is ON the resort. It's even worse if you go down to the beach that is attached to the resort. Dinner reservations can only be made in person between the hours of am 9am-11am, and you can only book for that day. The food was okay, my favorite was the Caribbean restaurant. Also don't lose your band, or they will charge you $200 and $20 for your room keys and towel keys. When talking to other guests, they all had similar experiences. One lady had the shower ceiling fall on her. The rooms are in desperate need of repairs. The pools all close at 7pm. Make sure you pack your sneakers too because there's lots of walking and stairs if you dont want to wait the 25 minutes for the shuttle to take you around the giant property and good luck trying to read the blurry map they give you at check in. Our "garden view" room had a lovely view of the noisy main road and guard shack. The best part of this resort was going back home.

The worst resort I have ever visited in my life. I do not recommend it to anyone. The rooms are disgusting; they have huge holes on the roof, and they almost fall on you. You have to be careful if you have children. They want to charge you for absolutely everything, the least bit, but they do not offer the quality of service. The room service is also disgusting, as is the reception. The refrigerators are empty, and when you call customer service, they spend hours doing nothing. And that is a service that they already charged you for in advance. Everything is far away, and the air conditioning in the rooms is useless.

The worst resort ever!!!!! Don't believe nothing positive about this place. You can only eat at the 2 buffets that serves the same thing at tge same time. Check in is whenever and whoever feels like it.
No entertainment, they have someone to call you on the very first morning and awaken you stating that they're your driver on the golf cart and they're coming to take you to breakfast (sounds good) they drop off for 1hr and come back to get you to sign up for timeshare( they say, don't worry they're going to give you a tour for 1hr that turns into 3hrs) they give you a bag with a bottle of rum they say my gift to you. No room service, no night club, they ask everyone to give a positive review for a 1 night stay. Don't waste your time or money I don't care how cheap it is. It's not worth it. You can only eat 7am-10am, 12:30pm- 3:30pm, 6:30pm-10:30pm that's it that's all. No extra towels they charge for everything if you loose your room key, the towel key or the wrist band there's a charge for them.
All the other restaurants you have to nake reservation with guest services which is never open. They make it look beautiful trust me it not. Take your money and time and go somewhere else.

Honestly, if it wasn’t for the excursions and some VIP access I would give this place -5 stars. For one, when we get here the room keys they gave us stopped working 5 minutes after we got to our room. They called maintenance and security to help figure out the problem but that alone took about 2 hours. It smells like a sewer, the pools all have floating debris in them and the drinks at most of these bars are watered down badly. There’s only 2 places you can go to without reservations (2 buffets) and they serve the same food every night. Reservations are almost impossible to make when every time you walk past them, NO ONE IS THERE! The power also went out a few times for about 4 nights in a row. The last and final incident is us having to change rooms on the 4th day due to big mosquitos and worms in our beds! They changed our rooms with no problem but the room they moved us to had ants all in the bathroom sink. Save your money and don’t stay here. Unless you have a timeshare, you will get treated like dirt.

I stayed at this resort with my family for 4 night. This place is outdated. Let me start by saying save your money and stay away from this place .. customer service is non existent especially if you are Dominican. Staff treat you differently. The staff ignore your needs completely you ask of water at the bar you will get ignore. The check in progress is way too long .I tried to leave my daughter at the daycare and the lady rudely told me I needed to wait then told me i couldn't leave her 9-12 as stated in the schedule. If you go to reserve for the restaurant only one night you are allow to reserve if you come back for the other days the staff will lied and give your the run around.. at check out i was charged for a towel ticked I never used. Please Stop supporting this dump
