Cairo, 2 Al Qadi Al Fadel 🧭 Map
This place was a really nice surprise! Good nightly rate for a private room, clean, good WiFi. Excellent location in downtown Cairo. The building it is in is very old but the part with the hostel in it is comfortable and beautiful on the inside.
We had a great stay at this hostel. I booked a private room, which was comfortable, clean, and perfect for a bit of extra privacy. The location couldn’t have been better, everything I needed was within easy walking distance, and it made exploring the city incredibly convenient. A special thanks to Yousuf at the front desk. He was friendly, helpful, and went out of his way to make sure we had everything...
Very lovely place to stay in the city center that is close to everything. The hotel is super clean and the staff are all kind and nice. Definitely recommend.
This hostel is in a great location. I had a private room which was really nice - spacious and clean with comfy beds. It’s noisy but any hotel in downtown Cairo will be the same. The breakfast was not bad. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I didn’t think the pyramids tour they organised was great - the car was not good and the guide was not great. But the hotel itself is really good and great...
I liked the place in general! There is an elegant interior design that gives a perfect touch to its Egyptian theme! Decorative and well organized throughout the interior! I liked the look! Also the service of the staff is veryy good! It gives me good taste and I like the charisma! Always with the smile of everything! Attentive to the guests! The only bad thing is the entrance I thought was leading...
An unexpectedly great hotel! The staff was extremely helpful and resolved any issues that arose. Upon check-in, they explained the room amenities in detail. The room itself had comfortable beds and was generally quiet—we woke up to the alarm clock rather than street noise. There's a restaurant (indoor and a few tables on the veranda) with several breakfast options and a small menu that's plenty for...

Good location in downtown Cairo. The bedroom and bathroom were very clean and tidy with AC. The bed was comfy and the room included a fridge too. The staff were friendly and helpful when it came to food suggestions and information on how to get around. Simple breakfast included.
Very friendly and accommodating staff. The location is very close to everything. You can shop cheap trendy clothes nearby. Blaban and other famour food chain is just few steps away. Highly recommended! ❤️
This budget hostel located in the heart of Cairo city is our last minutes resort. The front desk staff are very helpful and try their best to meet what you need. Free Wi-Fi and continental breakfast. Enjoying viewing Nile Sunset at river bank is a 20-minute walk.
Simply impeccable! From the moment of arrival to check-out, my experience in this hotel was perfect. The team is extremely attentive, always smiling and ready to help with any detail. The cleanliness is a separate highlight - everything was impeccable every day. In addition, the location is excellent, close to everything, but still quiet to rest. A place that I recommend and I intend to come back!
On my last day in Cairo, I used it as a day use as I was leaving late at night. It was a hostel but I booked it because it had a private bathroom. The towels were not as good as those in a hotel, but they were fine to use. You can borrow a hairdryer at the front desk. Soap, body wash, and shampoo are provided. The location is very convenient as there are many restaurants and souvenir shopping (including...
Don't know how this hotel got a high score of 4.6? I won't choose it again anyway. The facilities are extremely rudimentary. There is not even a stool in the room. There is nothing you need. The pillow is so hard that it feels like sleeping on wood. The bed is also hard. I felt sore all over after sleeping.

It has a very good location near to everything and was a saver to be able to check in at 2am after a long travel. It was clean and good one but could be a little bit cheaper to meet the expectations. I didn't catch the breakfast so, I cannot judge it.
Location of this hotel is nice and the owner is a decent person, always ready to help you. Beds were bigger than many hostels I have been to and these were comfortable. Lifts were not working and I had to walk through the stairs with my heavy luggage. Bathroom was good but it could have been cleaner.
All the staff was friendly and always willing to help you. The room is very clean and the breakfast excellent. Really good price for the service, have been recommending to friends and family.
The staff is very nice and polite, we stayed 3 nights here, on our first night we had to change our room from balcony to no balcony due to the noisy traffic.

Excellent services. Extremely warm welcoming. We feel so good staying at Freedom Hostel. Room, bed, blanket, towel are so cleans. 15 min by walking to Tahrir square. Lot of money exchange spots, so too easy for tourists.
Location of this hostel is amazing for being right in the downtown area of Cairo. It is on the top floor of the building, 3 flights of stairs. Staff were lovely, breakfast was great, rooms were clean, comfy beds and working water. Would recommend. Absolutely avoid the hotel in the same building though- like 100% avoid.
The best part of this hostel was absolutely the wonderful staff working here, they truly make you feel like this is your home away from home. The rooms and bathrooms are kept very clean. Beds are very comfortable, Wi-Fi works very well. The breakfast in the morning is included in your stay and it is good and plentiful! Excellent location as you are walking distance to many places. Really great value...
The receptionist was very kind. She gave me coffee and cleaned my room with insecticide when I told her there were flies!! She also provided towels, so I highly recommend her!
The room is quite crowded. The house is old and the location is good.

We looked for the hotel secutiry team and we received the phone immediatly. Thanks to: Abd El Azem A Zaher; Mustafa Fathy Mohamed Mustafa
Good hostel and hotel. But for hostel they have not kitchen. Staff is good.. suggest for small stay. Location is good near railway station and metro. Near city centre.
One of magnificent places u could see in egypt ..... awesome art of building
Simple and cheap especially for solo traveler, they have a very old Lift which is, sometimes its not working. But the staff are good. Poor in ventilation.
Excellent location in the heart of Cairo, clean, affordable room, very hospital staff. It was a good end of a heavy duty day☺

A good location in the city centre. It was easy to find. I recommend it.
The room presented had nothing to do with the one chosen on the internet, which said it was: I think, 25 m2, bathtub, balcony overlooking the street and I found a room without a window, dirty walls, a wardrobe without one of the doors.
Stayed here during my layover. It’s okay.
The service is warm, friendly, clean and very safe.
The main thing is that it is cheap, the store is a bit shady, and for other prices, you get what you pay for.
Excellent location and very well appreciated. Helpful people who know how to receive. I would definitely come back

Near Tahir square, busy neiborhood. The owner (Mina) and his staffs are very kind, friendly and helpful.
It's the best cozy hotel ever I loved the atmosphere over there Thank you to Mr. Mina, Moheb, Daniel, Yohanna, Mody, and Osha Love you guys, and I hope to meet you soon
Daniel is the only staff who is nice and polite here. All Other staff abrupt and don’t make you feel welcome. Good location and nice breakfast although doesn’t start until 8:30
Cheers Hostel is the best hostel in downtown, it has a great location in central with everything, the staff is so friendly, welcoming and always wants to help. The rooms are so clean and tidy. Also they arrange high quality tours with the best prices. I recommend it to anyone 😉
This place is small, only 5 rooms, on the third floor of a typical building of the area. It is budget accommodation, and fine for that. The sign for it is small too. Our room had a high ceiling and the second bed was great for spreading our stuff out. The bathroom was a little funky but serviceable. The water was hot. Staff friendly.

The breakfast was very good. The location is very good, close to everywhere. Excellent value for money.
The location is convenient for getting around. It's not far from the Nile River, and there's a business district behind it. It's within walking distance of the museum. It's a little hard to find on the 16th floor. There's a lot of traffic on the road at night, and the handsome guy at the front desk is very welcoming.
The location is good near the Nile River and the museum. However, the payment online is only an advance payment. You can choose to pay by cash or credit card when you arrive at the store. Please note that they do not accept old version of US dollars or damaged (even just a corner, and there is only a hole in it) cash. They only accept intact and brand new cash. If you use a credit card, there is a...
Castle Hotel is the best place to discover Cairo! It felt like home to me. I was in 8 different hotels in Cairo on my tour: castle hotel is my family and my choice no1 now. Cracking little place in downtown. Good if you want a relaxed, sociable feel. Nice staff. And yes, the roof garden is a top (excuse the pun) additional benefit, especially at night. I was staying in dorm, all to myself. One recommendation: could do with installing curtains, for privacy, especially when mixed.
Need to be more professional in their services and the building is a bit weird

Best $16 hotel in town. Being an experienced traveller, I walked the approximately 1 1/4 mile distance from Ramses train station ( traffic is crazy). Biggest problem with the hotel is how it's located. The entrance is accessed by walking through an unmarked walkway from the street, not on the street itself. There is a medium sized hotel sign across the street from the entrance, but if you're not looking...
Great hotel in the heart of Cairo. Large room with private bathroom and it’s own balcony! Not much of an entrance, but the hotel is nice and the staff are amazing. Plenty of friendly faces and great advice. We’ve travelled a lot and love hotels like the Bella Luna, great value, safe and friendly, perfect location! Looking forward to our next visit to Cairo.

The hostel is located approx 15 walking minutes away from the Tahrir square. The nearest bus station is 20 walking min away. Food markets nearby. The hostel is inside a residental building. I have stayed there for 4 days it was amazing room ia clean, ac was good, for the price i paid its really a value for your money, location was good its walking distance to too many resto and shops
I enjoyed my stay here. The staff are friendly, although they can be a bit noisy in the morning, haha, but that's because my room is right in front of the reception. There are no towels or bathroom slippers provided. The hostel's location is convenient, situated in the city center with various shops, restaurants, and markets nearby. Overall, you won't be disappointed with your stay here.
Confortable beds, good wifi, strong hot shower, spotless clean, fair breakfast and well located. The downside is that they require payment in dollars. If you don't have dollars, they will convert it into egyptian pounds using the black market rate, not the official one, in my case increasing 62% the amount paid
The place is a bit difficult to find as the name wasn't anywhere written in the building. We had taken a bedroom and the room had high walls and was neatly kept. The washroom had all the amenities one can think of. The balcony was very calm and serene. We loved the hotel but unfortunately couldn't stay more than a day due to pre-planned schedules. The breakfast was served in the room and it had Egyptian...

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Midtown. The staff were welcoming and helpful. The room itself was clean. The location of the hotel was also very convenient exploring the city.
Our stay in the Midtown was fine. We were a bit worried since it was our first night in Cairo and considering that the surrounding city streets are dark and busy it was reassuring when we met Mahmoud the owner. Firstly, he reached out via Whatsapp to ensure we’d a taxi or tours, we’d already prebooked these but he was the only hotel owner who was upfront and straight with no hassle on the tours....
Honest review. The location is great, close by to everything. Clean and beautiful rooms but if you stay here, you are on your own. Expect zero service from the hotel whether it is check in on time, early breakfast request (specially if you requested it a day prior and they agreed still you won't get) , help with luggage (even if 3 ppl are looking at you struggling with luggage, no help) , room services...

Helpful and friendly staff, from the front desk to the housekeeper. We paid for what we get and honestly, we came with low expectations but everything worked as it should. Mohammed even offered us Turkish coffee. Thank you for having us. Stayed on November 2022
Not great, but cheap. Pro's: - good location in downtown - cheap price - hosts (two brothers) were friendly and helpful -24/7 "reception" Con's: - it's not a hotel, so the "reception" was in front of our room (pretty annoying & loud also during night) - AC was not able to cool down the room - lot of mosquitos!!! - mosque directly next to hostel, so you will be awake at 4am - breakfast was only omlette...
It was a total pleasure staying at this location for over a month. The owners were welcoming and were always ready to help with anything we needed: from ordering food on Talabat, to Nile Cruise recommendations, or just a nice late evening chat. Me and my friend stayed here for 9 nights and it was wonderful. It is located right in the heart of downtown Cairo and is within walking distance to most of the major tourist attractions, including the metro. The owner was absolutely lovely, and took very good care of us - as 2 young women we also always felt very safe, which is very important to us. All in all, no complaints and very pleased.

We arrived in the evening for one night. The next day to the airport. For one or two nights it's ok. No more. Doubts about the cleanliness of the bed linen. It seemed that they don't change it after each guest. But I'm not sure. We took this hostel only because of the location. The staff is friendly.
I stayed in a single room (smoking) for 5 nights. The room looked larger than it looked in the photos, and it was comfortable with a sink and ceiling fan. It was quiet even though it was located in Attaba. However, sometimes the room would vibrate mysteriously. The location was excellent and you could walk to the city center. Breakfast was also provided, so I was overall satisfied.
When I came to the center of Cairo, I saw a lot of dilapidated buildings. This is the Egyptian style. You can't expect too much. Hotels in the old city are all like this. The manager is not bad, polite, and can speak English. There are two cleaners who do a good job of sanitation, but the facilities are too old.
