Cairo Paradise Hotel

Location is in the center of Cairo, Egypt. Bit difficult to find the hotel entrance, since it’s in a local walkway. Also , there's no direction on the elevator or on the wall to the reception of the hotel. The hotel reception is on the 5th Floor. Had met a beautiful egyptian employee there at the reception trying to help her best. Room wasn’t that cool. Had no window in it. Room was too small for 2 people from my opinion. Room smell was bad and they had a electricity issue for over 30 minutes at the beginning, they could switch me to another room I wish. Overall, it was okayish. Interestingly, elevator was really old and you can see all the working parts there. That was scary but funny.

The hotel wasn't as expected. It isn't bad but it isn't that great either.

The room was of decent size. I booked the single room. However, they don't have anything in the room. No fridge, kettle, hair dryer, and the only towel is a really small one that's sufficient to wrap around your head. The room cleanliness is acceptable and the toilet is clean.

The location itself is fantastic but the building is very rundown. It's in downtown Cairo so there were many shops around and food was within reach. Thankfully, my room was facing the back alley so it wasn't noisy. There's also a power outage everyday from 3 to 5pm. So if you happen to come back to the hotel between these timings, you'll have to take the very rundown and scary staircase to the 6th floor. The entrance to the hotel is terrifying too but once you reach the 6th floor, it isn't terrifying anymore.

The elevator is very old too. It's the kind where you have to manually open the gate and the door to get in and out of. Sometimes it wouldn't work properly and would be stuck between floors.

Internet wise, it's actually decent and fast. Overall, it's quite a decent place to stay but just don't expect much. The service is good though and they're quite friendly.
