El Gezira Garden Hotel Luxor

The hotel has great location very near to the riverbank and the boats. I loved the beautiful garden with different kinds of flowers, trees and palms together with the sound of the birds makes the surrounding atmosphere very lovely and peaceful. All the staff and the owner were friendly and helpful. The rooms are little outdated but it matches the surrounding village vibes and still very comfortable and air-conditioned. The local food 🍲 in the restaurant is very delicious and cooked in professional way. I didn't use the pool but it looks very good. The prices are very reasonable.

Rooms were a little outdated but very comfortable and had a cute balcony overlooking the courtyard. Very good local meals and cheap drinks. Staff were lovely and the owner was great fun and friendly. Gorgeous flowers and lots of birds in the courtyard creates a lovely peaceful atmosphere.

Beautiful hotel on the calmer side of Luxor (West Bank)

I spent two wonderful weeks at El Gezira Hotel and also enjoyed meals at the neighbouring El Gezira Garden Hotel. This is a great location for anyone who wants to explore the many splendours of Luxor but also wants to get a feel for Egyptian life. Situated on the somewhat quieter West Bank of the Nile, it's close to the ferry stop and any number of shops. The staff are very friendly and hospitable and happy to help with anything from taxi rides to special dietary requests. The food is fresh and delicious and even tastier on the rooftop at sundown.😊 Understandably most guests are regulars!

Twenty years ago I really hated Luxor and El Gezira Garden totally changed my mind, if there is a paradise in Egypt it is thas place. The staff, the calm, the restaurant ( rare in Egypt) everything is pleasant there.
I really recommend.

I hope to back there soon.

Comfortable family apartment, superb breakfast buffet and a pool to refresh you after a hot day in the sun.

A few restaurants and shops to try locally, plus the boats across the river are only a 5 minute walk away.

I recommend staying on the West Bank over the East, but my family preferred the quieter, traditional neighbourhood near Medinat Habu, if you’re researching hard!

The staff was exceptionally nice. Our daughter loved the baked tomatoes with cheese one morning and the server Ali had the cook make them specifically for her each day after that. It was wonderful to be greeted by smiling faces each morning and evening and we will always remember Ali in the breakfast room and Mohammed the night guard. The location is perfect next to the water taxis, which will take you directly anywhere on the East Bank you want to go- much easier than getting around via taxi to the East Bank sites. Be sure to go up on the roof to watch the balloons in the morning.

There is a lovely grocery store Hamada Market on the river a short walk south with incredible soft Egyptian cheese and pita and anything else you need. Eat at Nubian House for a special (and super cheap) outdoor experience. Don’t miss the Winter Palace for different history than the must see ancient sites and try the camel rides at Nubi Stables to really see the West Bank way of life at sunset and the ATV driving in the desert - look on Airbnb for that as you see a side of Egypt you may not otherwise. The desert behind the Valley of the Kings is beautiful with canyons.

This time I only was a day-quest, using swimming pool, eating. The hotel is so cute with beautiful atmosfare and marvolous staff. Always coming back 🥰. Thank you again for a fantastic service 🙏
