Aracan Eatabe Luxor Hotel

The renovated rooms are really good and overlooking the Nile with the most important thing is that comfy bed mattress.
Lights in the rooms could be improved a little.
Nice hotel, love it.

Modern, clean, and comfortable rooms (albeit a bit sterile). The public areas are dated, but in a fun way. The staff take pride in their work and they try to maintain their old standards, which is admirable, but it sometimes leads to miscommunication. For example, we settled on a room layout, location, and price for our rooms with one staff member, but upon check-in all of those specifics had changed. Rather than give us what we originally agreed to, they gave us slightly worse rooms for a slightly higher price, but that price changed again when the next members of our party arrived. In the end, the manager gave us something like (but not) our original deal, but he never admitted to the miscommunication among his staff and it took a lot of time to arrange, and it also took a lot of silly boasting on his part about a "world famous hotel" like the Eatabe not making the kind of mistakes we were accusing them of.
