Nile Compound Guest house
Luxor, Jorf, opposite to Steigenberger Hotel- West Bank 🧭 Map
Nile - 480 m
We had an awesome time during our stay at the beautiful nile compound in Luxor. Ingrid and Mahmoud are just the perfect hosts and offer great hospitality, cozy interior, good service and the little extra to your pleasant vacation. Since Mahmoud is a native Luxorian he knows all famous and also hidden places you want to visit. Thank you - we will come back - soon!

Good location. Near to Luxor Temple, bus station and train station. Breakfast was good. A lot of choices.
Only one thing bad happened, 10 am today the manager of 5th floor asked me very ramdon wich number of room i have after leaving my room walking in the hall, when i comeback from breakfast 1,200 egyptian money are gone, not there.
The rest is very good, nice staff, food, swimming pools, rooms, bed, everything
The hotel is beautiful, clean with good facilities and beautiful views from the garden, pool area, boat restaurant, sultan restaurant etc. It is close to many public amenities you'd need as well but the front desk staff are unnecessarily too serious that it was discomforting. There was no need for the robotic reactions.
They have weird pool rules as well. I recommend this place still.
The hotel has a really nice location with a beautiful river view, which we truly enjoyed. The breakfast was also very good and satisfying. However, we found that the staff was not very helpful when it came to cleaning up the tables during breakfast, and the room was a bit noisy due to outside traffic, which affected our sleep.
At reception, the personnel provided good service and quality assistance...
Great location, but the infrastructure is a little bit old. Internet was not stable at all. Great breakfast. Overall fair
The hotel is just next to the Nile River which we can directly see the view with hot air balloon in the morning from the balcony. We were staying in the hotel on Christmas Day. It was sweet that the hotel prepared a Christmas gift for us. The location of hotel is good that we can walk to the bazar easily.

I want to live at this hotel - everything is special and thoughtfully placed. Wish I’d had more time - don’t sleep on the food here either, this one probably the best meal I had in Egypt. Everything was so fresh and flavorful and good - amazing place.
Met and exceeded all expectations (which were very high). Beautiful, romantic oasis that was a great home base for sight seeing. Food and service were impeccable.
A perfect 10 out of 10! I was hesitant at first, wondering if the photos would match reality, and I’m glad to say my expectations were fully met. The hotel looks just like in the pictures. It feels as if time has stood still here since the early 20th century: antique interiors, books available for reading, grand high arches, and spacious halls – truly an oasis in the midst of bustling, crowded Egypt...
We had lunch at Almoudira the hotel is amazing very well thought out. The Bazar has unique pieces and the food was an interesting take on Egyptian dishes. But the vibe was off as it felt there was so many staff doing renovations. And the restaurant staff weren’t the friendliest people.
A boutique hotel in the true sense of the word. You will have an unforgettable stay with a pinch on the pocket.
The attention to detail in the decor, and regarding the quality of food is brilliant. Their rooms are unique.
The only drawback (or not) is the fact that it is a bit far from the city, and takes an effort to get here if you don't have cabs handy.
A Tale of Elegance and Luxury
From the moment I stepped through the grand entrance of this magnificent 5-star oasis, I felt transported to a realm straight out of 1001 Nights. The exquisite blend of traditional Arabian opulence and modern luxury creates an atmosphere of pure magic.
The attention to detail in every aspect of the hotel’s design is nothing short of breathtaking. Ornate arches, intricate...

Best location in the middle of everything but try to pick a room on the temple view , fees are added on the room rent if reservation was by booking,
Good location, cheap, nice and helpful staff, but broken furniture. Pool on the roof dirty.
Everything about the hotel, staff, room was really nice! I really loved my stay there and wished I could stay longer.
The only annoying thing about the room was the card that is used to light up some of the lights, the AC and the fridge! It seriously is a struggle and it keeps moving and I have to get up every 5 minutes (literally) to adjust it so the AC and fridge would be back on again! That was...
Fair price.. Wonderful view.... Good staff
If you're looking for a luxurious residency it's absolutely wrong to stay in this place.
The room wasn't that clean, air conditioner wasn't working, racked window glass & more ..
Yet to be fair it was nearby Luxor template & Karnak template , the rest of the templates were all on the other side of the Nile so we took a ferry .. Also it's nearby very good restaurants and coffee shops.
It's wasn't the...

Could not have picked a better, more accommodating location during my stay in Luxor. Located directly across the Nile from Luxor Temple and situated beside plenty of incredible restaurants, everything was conveniently located. The hotel staff was the best I have ever experienced. Going out of their way to be helpful and organize transportation and tours, and even let me book a room for a half day when...
Excellent value hotel. Rooms are clean and spacious and it had a beautiful position on the bank of the Nile. Also I can't speak highly enough of the staff, especially Osama. I had to change my travel plans at short notice and he helped me to book flights and coordinate an airport transfer. I'm really grateful foe their assistance and will definitely stay here again if I return to Luxor.
Great experience for a fair price, good for students like us but as well couples or families. El masela Hotel is a beautiful place with a stunning view on the Nile from the roof top as well as our room‘s balcony. It is directly opposite the private ferry’s port and 5 min walk from the public ferry port to go to the city center on the east bank. Next to the hotel there are many cozy restaurants but...
Basic hotel with a good location over looking the Nile. Rooms basic and had to ask for everything: towels, cleaning etc. Room cleaning did not always happen despite us asking. Staff only friendly if selling something ie tours. Breakfast and restaurant pleasant and more friendly. Swimming pool a nice bonus. West bank location is good - just ask for the nearby public ferry to cross.
Fine hotel on the west bank of luxor. I can really advise to stay on this side to avoid the crowds, busy street and lots of noisy and smelly vehicles on the east bank. On arrival we got a proper welcome, with a welcome drink on the rooftop terrace and explanations what to do in and around luxor. We created a two days itinerary with our driver Ahmed Altyib who brought us to all the highlights of Luxor...
Best hotel in Luxor! Mohamed and his staff were amazing. They helped arrange for incredible tours around the Valley of the Kings. Later, Mohamed arranged for a sail boat on the Nile River to see the sunset. Hotel has the best location, with an incredible balcony view of the Nile River. Breakfast and dinner were delicious. I highly recommend for anyone traveling to Luxor.

Our bathroom smelled funny the first night, but by the time we were checking out, it smelled like someone was killed, chopped to pieces, and buried in the walls.
The shower was disgusting.
Huge clumps of hair strung along the walls.
The pool was pretty and clean tho, I'll give em that.
Huge space, very clean, comfortable, quiet with the modern facilities and fitment, professional staff, everything perfect and excellent, very good the price, we now in hurghada, the hotel here same price is not so good as Lotus in Luxor, we will choose Lotus if we come Egypt again, recommend it!
Very nice hotel. Stayed during day time before travelling by overnight Cairo train. Had good rest for 6 hours. Beautiful view of nile river. Good amenities.
Breakfast was basic, staff were hit and miss. Rooms were really spacious and had a good view of the Nile.
A nice upgrade to Nile view with two balcony's. Service was excellent. The breakfast was basic but ok. Hence only 4 stars
Beautiful Hotel. Every room has a small balcony and nice view of swimming pool and Nile River. I saw hot balloons in the morning. Beautiful!
Location is perfect.
The room is good, the bathroom is very big but not good design and cold. No hair dryer. Pillow and doona aren’t comfortable.

Although my room was not available when I arrived due to a water heater repair, the hotel put me up in a nearby spacious apartment which was lovely. As soon as the repair was done I moved into the hotel two nights later. The hotel is lovely. Nice clean rooms, lovely well-maintained gardens and a nice small swimming pool and poolside bar. The restaurant is good too. It is only a five minute walk from...
