Where to stay in Altea

I stayed there in December 2025. The rooms were very clean and the service was very friendly. It's an ideal starting point for cycling tours in the mountains. It's about a 15-20 minute walk to the old town.

Stayed at Cap Negret for a week at the end of October with 7 other family members. 25 degrees! Hotel was great and very clean. Food was very good and staff were friendly and helpful. A convenient 10 minute walk from Altea and a couple of minutes walk from the bus and tram stops. The tram was brilliant and cheap for travelling to Denia, Benidorm, Alicante etc. Would definitely recommend this hotel if...

Amazing hotel great service well looked after, the gardens ,pool and inside were immaculate, great location for the town and catching a tram into Benidorm if required. Rooms were clean spacious. Only criticism is getting a drink when you having dinner you have to go back out to the bar no table service

One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in. From the moment you step through the door, you feel so welcome and relaxed. All the staff smiled, couldn’t do enough for you. A lovely hotel in a perfect location. Due to it being an old building it does however bring with it both good and not so good aspects. On the positive it’s a beautiful hotel with a laid back vibe to it. However the sound proofing is no existent, fair enough to the outside noice of a town but the internal noise from the kitchen up to the first floor is very disappointing indeed. This is a new hotel located very close to the centre of town but has the advantage of not being at all noisy. A 5 minute walk to the sea. Reception and restaurant/bar staff were all charming and helpful. The rooms are a good size and very well appointed. Perfect for a break of a few days.

2nd visit but won’t be the last everything was superb, staff were exceptional . Breakfast was delicious and the setting outside was beautiful even the music that was played in the background was in fitting with the whole atmosphere.

Beautifully restored house into a hotel. Rooms were fab, great base! Also has a lovely terrace with seating to meet friends before dinner. No restaurant, bar or breakfast but that was fine by us! We will stay again!

My friend and I loved our stay at Maison Salva. It was our favorite stop on our trip to Spain. The spaces were beautiful and clean. This is a wonderful hotel. The location doesn't get any better. Half way between the old town Church and the sea front. 5mins walk either way. The staff were super helpful and welcoming. The rooms (we stayed in a king room with sofa bed) were so wonderful, rustic and like something out of a story book. I will definitely go back

Easy to find and check in. Modern clean relaxing rooms lovely outdoors area if you do want to sit with your coffee which is supplied in the room. Water replenished every day in the room. Ideal location less than 5 min up to the old town, 5 minutes to the promenade lots of places to have breakfast, lunch and dinner. Good shower. Overall really pleasant.

Just had an amazing trip to Altea Made perfect by staying at the Maison Salva a beautiful restored building, lovely staff, great communication on the run up to our stay and during. We stayed 4 nights (21 -25 June) They only have 6 rooms so a very calm and relaxing stay. Elena was so welcoming and accommodating and she made us feel we were at home from the moment we arrived. Aranza bakes the most delicious cakes and was also very accommodating. I would 1000% recommend everyone I know to stay here!

Nice hotel above a busy restaurant, basic but very comfortable room (1st floor with balcony and sea view) on the beach front. Good location for tourists, a short walk to the town centre etc. The bar in the restaurant is reasonably priced, with friendly helpful staff. Would recommend a stay here.
