We’re lucky enough to be staying in a suite so my comments can only relate to that and not the deluxe rooms, but the room was stunning. It was so comfortable and had a huge outdoor terrace, marble bathrooms and the best view of sunrise I’ve ever seen. Like other reviews have mentioned, the shower took a while to get to temperature but if you haven’t got 5 mins for a shower to warm up when you’re on holiday in the middle of a mountain, when have you? You do need to be prepared to get a taxi into the city which is about €25 each way so if you want convenience to get into the city this isn’t the place for you. However if you want to feel you’re escaping the hustle and bustle and retreating to some calm I couldn’t think of anywhere better. The staff were amazing, real 5* treatment, all the food was wonderful and the views are breathtaking. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We had the pleasure of staying at the Gran Hotel La Florida for 2 weeks. I was in Barcelona for surgery and recovery was made so much easier due to the exceptional service, beautiful views and good food. The highlight for us was one particular staff member named Alix. She was so kind and thoughtful. I was unable to sit comfortably after my surgery and was having room service (which was great) but she arranged a stand up table so I could experience the glorious views from the back deck and venture out of our room. This is just one example of the many things she did to make our stay comfortable. She is a wonderful asset to this hotel.

The staff were so friendly, helpful and welcoming. The food was great. The room was superb. The views of Barcelona and the ocean beyond were mesmerising. Even the pillows were perfect! Loved the pool and jacuzzi too. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

Upon arrival we were greeted at the door of our car and our bags were taken inside. Beautiful entrance. Although a bit of a small turn around area however the porter was excellent.

Our initial room beautiful and spacious on the 5th floor. It did have some faults. The ceiling in the bathroom leaked and the AC was not functioning. The hotel staff immediately upgraded us and helped with the movement. It’s why I didn’t give it a full 5 stars.

Pros- the service and luxury. The hotel is a bit older but offers so much in food and service that it makes up for it. The views of the city and surrounding area are stunning.

We ordered room service and it was reasonable and delicious. They delivered it promptly. The cart folded into an actual table instead of a tiny tray.

We ate the restaurant one night, it was a bit over priced but the service was good. We ordered the fish and chips with a Cesar salad all was delicious. Our favorite was the carrot cake.

Con’s- if you do not like to drive do not stay here. This is about 20 -30 min drive into the city center without traffic. This is an off the beaten path place. The route to get to the hotel is a bit winding.

We would definitely stay here again. Please note you must have a car to stay here. The bus stop is located a mile or more away from the hotel.

There is a theme park but it does not disturb the quiet location.

I had the absolute pleasure of staying for four blissful days at this magnificent five-star hotel. I was extremely fortunate to be upgraded to the magnificent tower suite, which was an absolute delight! It had such a variety of rooms, an outside spa, marble bathrooms, and the most incredible views of the magnificent city of Barcelona. Everything at this hotel is absolutely perfect, from the interior, rooms, bedding, food, and service. The only slight downside is the quite a long drive (by taxi, which I'm sure you'll agree is quite pricey!) to and from the hotel, which is about 10km uphill from Barcelona, taking about 30 minutes. This is such a lovely hotel for groups or families and the spa is really lovely. However, if you're looking for a place to relax and unwind, then this is the perfect spot. It's not really the place for sightseeing as it's quite far from the main sights!

Absolutely worth the money. The view, the service, the food, all five stars. Walking distance to the Sacret Heart on the top of Tibitabo. Taxi to the city is a bit costly, but there is public transportation at the door - bus 111. We didn't get to try it but according to other people the bus takes visa payment on the bus. The hotel service is the best I have ever seen anywhere.

The location is absolutely spectacular. The hotel has a wonderful relaxed vibe. It is such a special place to be. Staff were extremely friendly. The swimming pool is the most incredible thing I've ever seen. The outdoor pool is heated. It was when we were there in late march anyway. The rooms are absolutely beautiful . Fantastic experience.
