I have traveled the world and stayed in countless hotels across continents, and I have NEVER experienced behavior like this before. The general manager of this hotel is, without question, the worst I have ever encountered. His attitude alone is enough to erase any credibility this establishment tries to maintain. What guests receive here is contempt disguised as politeness, which is more degrading than open disrespect. There is a clear abuse of authority and a total absence of genuine hospitality values. A hotel is never destroyed by its architecture or its rooms, it is destroyed by its leadership. And this hotel is being quietly ruined by the general manager. The atmosphere he creates is cold, arrogant, and deeply toxic. Because of the general manager, I will never put a single step in this hotel again. The reason will be remembered as both his management and the visible deterioration of this hotel.

Wonderful and friendly staff, we were greeted sincerely each time we passed the front desk and concierge.
Room was compact but clean and stylish, wished we had stayed longer in Barcelona! Don’t miss the rooftop pool and bar, offers a beautiful panoramic view of the city.
The breakfast is ala carte style so the eggs were freshly made upon order. The service team were also super friendly and sincere!
The location is fantastic too, down the road from La Pedrera and the shopping district. Will definitely stay there again!

One of the best hotels we have stayed in! Five stars for everything. Extremely comfortable, great location and impeccable service! Hotel allows housekeeping multiple times a day! Whenever we would leave the room which was 3-4 times we would come back to clean organized room. The hotel stay here made our Barcelona visit very memorable. Highly recommend

Amazing hotel! There rooms are brilliant and so clean. All the features of the rooms are great; the bed is so comfortable with the option of a pillow menu! Electric blinds and lots of light options for different moods.
The spa downstairs is great and from experience not too busy as you have to book a slot to avoid it getting filled!
The rooftop is also amazing, the bar and pool very good in the day, and by evening the vibe is great. Lovely view of the city with the Sagrada in the city-scape.
I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a luxury experience!

The One in Barcelona is a classic hotel. The service staff is very professional but also businesslike. The location is quiet and excellent, very close to Casa Pablo. The pizza shop, tavern, chocolate shop and local Spanish baked dumplings shop next to it are all very good. The hotel breakfast is simple, not a buffet, similar to a set meal, with a single variety, it is better to go out and eat by yourself.

The location is very convenient, it takes 15 minutes to half an hour to walk to the attractions. The hotel rooms are large and the service is very good.

The location of the hotel is simply amazing. The main attractions of the city are 5 to 30 minutes walk away. Breakfasts are very tasty, fresh croissants. It is nice that the reception will always prompt and help. I will gladly return to this hotel again!

This is my second time staying at GL Hotel One. I originally booked somewhere else, but after comparison, I came back to GL One. It is indeed better and more comfortable. I will choose GL One again when I come to Barcelona in the future.

Good location, close enough to the sagrada familia. Quiet at night.
However, compared to other 5-star hotels, this hotel has a very small lobby and crude elevators that don’t match a 5-star rating. Hardware-wise, it’s probably 4-star at best.
Service - Concierge staff was polite upon check in, but the display of hospitality stopped there. Thereafter, door men at the gate didn’t greet or even acknowledge guests upon leaving or returning to the hotel. Considering the hotel lobby was so small that guests literally passed by in front of them, it came across as quite indifferent and awkward.
Amenities - There were intermittent sounds of water dripping onto a metal surface in my room during my stay. My guess is the air con system had some flaws. I asked the concierge to send people to check when I was outside (which they did), but there was no follow up afterwards and the dripping sound remained the second night. Besides, the staff who entered my room for checking took away my room card from the electricity holder, which should have never been allowed for safety considerations because the room card was registered under my name and no other person should have it during my stay.
