Eurohotel Diagonal Port

Comfortable room with great views from rooftop terrace. Disappointed to find lack of coffee making facilities in room though, this should be considered an essential in any modern hotel, much more important than the ubiquitous shower cap and cheap toothbrush. What really let it down was the shower, unbefitting of a 4Star, or any star hotel. It's as if the previous shower head has broken, and someone nipped down to the nearest supermarket to get the cheapest 5euro replacement as a quick fix, then didn't bother to replace it. Come on fellas, this is basic hotel management, you expect a little bit of luxury in a 4star, you wouldn't do this in your own home... and what's with the sheets that get all over the place after a night's sleep? Have duvet covers not made it to Spain yet?
Enjoyed the breakfast buffet...

I’ll start with the positive:

Great location.
Great rooftop pool.
And best of all, the staff are amazing, helpful and very friendly.

But the negatives cannot be ignored:

The cleaning is awful. My room had dirty mirrors, and long hairs everywhere (both of us have very short hair).
The bathroom humidity extractor didn’t work, so the humidity after a shower made it impossible to dry anything in the room (swimsuits and towels).
Soft drinks cost 10 euros… cocktail costs 12 but a can of coke 10… shameful, mostly when it comes to visiting families.

Good thing is the management and owners could solve those issues easily. At least I hope they pay their staff well because they are all amazing.

The WiFi was absolutely unusable in our room. It worked great in the lobby but unfortunately I was here for work and needed to take a lot of calls in my room. Instead of believing me and trying to fix the staff would stand outside my door and then show me it worked in their phones… which felt really condescending. The issue was that it would work for about 10 min and then cut out, so any zoom calls would be completely disrupted. The outage would be short but enough to interrupt a call and made my experience terrible. At one point I found a private space on the first floor to take calls, but then the manager from the lobby came up and told me I had to move even though no one was using it… it was a very a frustrating experience.

I’m not a picky eater but the breakfast was inedible, and all the restaurants nearby didn’t open until 9 am.

The room was nice, the cleaning lady was so sweet, and it was nice being close to the ocean. But if you need reliable wifi you’d need to go to one of the co working locations nearby. There is a great one called Working With.
