Eurohotel Diagonal Port

A place close to the beach, a little further from the center. Rooms clean, service nice (we wrote an email before arrival we did not get a response) Breakfast very good. I recommend it

Good hotel and facilities, reception staff very helpful. Lounge Bar was poorly staffed and felt that we were a burden to them. One blonde lady was damright rude to us. Saying she did not work in the bar when we asked for a drink, while serving two gentleman drinks and the continued chatting to them and ignoring us 0/10. The Roof top bar was great with very friendly staff. 10/10.

Best of all, the front desk receptionists are so helpful. They are accomodating and know the area well so they can help in the hotel or when you venture out (Wenin and Gonzalo were especially helpful on several occasions (finding tourist sites, mailing letters, navigating the city, etc) and made our trip stress free. Thank you!) The hotel is clean, the rooms are large and well-designed for a traveler. The beds and pillows are comfortable. It is perfectly situated to see the work of Gaudi in a safe neighborhood that is lively at night, but not loud.

During my recent visit to Barcelona, I chose to stay at the Eurohotel Diagonal Port, drawn by its promising location and the allure of a 4-star experience. Overall, my stay was quite enjoyable, with several aspects of the hotel standing out positively.

The hotel’s location is undoubtedly one of its strongest points. Situated close to Barcelona’s stunning beachfront, it offered easy access to both the serene Mediterranean Sea and the vibrant city life. The proximity to the Diagonal Mar area meant dining and shopping options were plentiful and diverse.

The room provided a comfortable retreat after a day of exploration, equipped with modern amenities and boasting a view that captured the essence of the city. The cleanliness and maintenance of the room were commendable, creating a welcoming atmosphere to relax in.

Dining at the hotel was a pleasant experience, with the restaurant serving a variety of dishes that catered to different tastes. Breakfast, in particular, was a highlight, offering a wide selection to kickstart the day.

However, the experience did have its shortcomings. The check-in process was slower than expected, with little to no explanation about the hotel’s facilities or services provided at the time. This initial interaction did not quite match the 4-star expectation set by the hotel’s rating.

Additionally, while the staff were generally courteous, the level of personalized service and attention to detail varied throughout my stay. Enhancing the consistency of customer service could significantly improve the overall guest experience.

In summary, the Eurohotel Diagonal Port in Barcelona offers a solid choice for travelers seeking the convenience of location and the comforts of a 4-star hotel. With some improvements in service and guest communication, it has the potential to truly excel. I leave with fond memories of my stay and would consider returning on future visits to Barcelona.

A good experience. I'll cover the down sides too which didn't detract from our stay thankfully. Rooms were clean and smart, yet the safe didn't work, the tucked in sheets on twin beds were awkward to sleep as a couple and depends on what you like, the shower was like a pressure washer! Service was excellent, the paid for breakfast good but no daily alterations. The roof top pool brilliant an idea was small and not heated so we couldn't use. We came to like Poblenou, alas the hotel is a little distance from the metro and Las Ramblas, Poblenou which has the local shops/restaurants. There is a lengthy walk to the beach too as no direct access, plus the restaurants situated on the beach road were the expensive summer type so not much here off season.
