Great location. You get slightly more than what you pay for at this hotel. It’s a budget hotel, so the rooms are small, the bathrooms are small, they do not offer conditioner in the shower. All that being said, it has everything you need for a couple night stay. A comfortable bed, decent AC, a warm shower. There is also a safe in the room and we had no issues with theft or never felt that was an issue (despite other reviews). Those are likely angry people that misplaced their things.

The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is they didn’t clean our room and they should have. We had requested it before the time advised, and we came back to a dirty room and the same towels on the floor. I asked for new towels and they gave them no issues at all. Also the payment is weird, you enter your credit card on their website, it’s processed or seems that it is, but then they follow up with another email to make the payment. We just waited and paid in person because I didn’t feel comfortable paying through the follow up link.

They give a free juice for following on Instagram which I really appreciated. They also gave lockers if you need to check out but leave your things for a while.

Finally, if you have a room next to the road it is loud when cars go by, so just bring some ear plugs if possible no big deal and hard to avoid in Barcelona.

I booked the hotel directly on their website and at first I was a bit scared. For starters, you don't pay directly on the website, you receive an email one day later sending you a link where you can pay, which can be sketchy. As well, they were hacked so I received an email that my booking was cancelled and I had to pay again and 5 minutes later I received a message and an email saying that it was not true and they were hacked, beware of that.
As for the hotel, I liked it, it's in a convenient location and you can take the line of metro that is 6 min away, also there is a lot of coffee shops in the street for somehow affordable prices. At night it looks safe and you have restaurant not so far away.
They clean everyday and there is a common area where you can drink water and buy snacks. Something convenient was that they have free lockers so you can leave your things before check-in ad after check-out.
They answer 24/7 the phone so that was very reassuring in the process of booking and arriving (since we arrived at 1AM to Barcelona)

Basic room in Sants neighborhood. Would recommend this for people who are returning to Barcelona and want to stay away from the touristy area. There is self service laundry (Lava Xpres) and a market (Dia) across the street. There are lots of local bars and restaurants nearby. I would recommend Bodega Salvat and Tots Sants.

Note: Only body wash/shampoo and toilet paper are provided. There are no other amenities such as toothbrush or toothpaste. There were ants crawling on the walls mid way during my stay even though I didn't eat in the room.

over all I would definitely come back to this hosting, it’s clean very friendly staff easy checking process walking distance from blue and red metro line a block away, there’s plenty of dinning options on the outside street a couple of supermarkets and laundry just in front of the property definitely a perfect spot to stay at :) enjoy the beach at blue barceloneta metro station it’s great every day

The staff were super friendly and helpful – they truly made me feel welcome. The room was spotless, minimalist, and very comfortable. I loved the thoughtful details like free apples at reception, iPads and a water fountain in the Relax Room, and fun promotions on Instagram.

Everything felt modern and well-designed, with a calm, welcoming vibe. Great location too! I’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!

Great location! 5 minute walk to metro, then 10 minutes to get into central Barcelona! Around 15 minutes away in Sants there is a small square with bars/tapas restaurants which was perfect for us!

Staff were all very friendly and let us leave our bags in a secure locker both before check in and after check out with no problems.

We didn’t need our room cleaned but it was very clean when we arrived.

Room is simple, but we had a balcony so at around 2pm onwards (April) we got lots of sun! This does make the room quite warm though so be sure to keep curtains drawn during the day if you’re going out!

Only downside is it’s a bit on the costly side compared to some bnbs and other budget hotels. But its quiet, great location and friendly staff make up for it! We’d be very happy to stay here again if visiting!

This hotel is great for a 2 star. My first impression was very good as the rooms are modern and equipped with all necessary amenities like bed side socket and table, mini fridge and TV with WiFi connection (we could watch YouTube). However, the main reason I chose to stay here over an Airbnb is the fact that I know rooms will be cleaned everyday and it would be relaxing to return to a made-up room after a long day. I've read previous reviews saying they offer this service and I booked this knowing this would be ideal for me. To my surprise, after returning from a long day, I found that the room was not cleaned although I specifically made sure to put the 'clean my room' sign before leaving. I was very disappointed as I would have liked to sleep in a made-up bed. I have informed the reception of this but unfortunately it was late evening, and the housekeeping team has already left. Apart from this detail, the reception service and facilities are good. Free apples and Juice (when you follow on Instagram) is a bonus.

We stayed in SmartRoom for five nights and we absolutely loved it! We were a family of 3 with an 8 month old infant and the staff were extremely helpful and accommodative. The location is fantastic with the nearest metro just a 5-7 min walk away. The room service was on-point everyday and it was refreshing to return to our room each evening. Overall, highly recommend!

Really liked this hotel. In a cool Barca district south of Barcelona Sant station. Rooms were clean, friendly staff, lockers for suitcases on departure day. Just really much better than I expected. Good wifi, and free apples!
