Lovely week stay at the Diamante Beach Hotel. Very clean and tidy. Rooms felt a little dated. It is in a great location, very close to the beach and shops. Enjoyed the local land train tour for just €5 each to see further around Calpe. Staff were all so lovely and catered to all our needs. Brittany Ferries Winter Sun ferry/hotel is fantastic value for money. We booked a self catering apartment with sea view for 28 nights. We sampled a self service buffet breakfast on one day. The best buffet breakfast we have ever sampled. We got vouchers for the spa. The roof top heated infinity pool is delightful.

The hotel was so clean and comfortable. The staff were wonderful. So helpful. Drinks were slightly expensive but were brought out to you. We spent a lovely week in the Cook Book hotel. The staff are top class ! We were brought to our room by Miguel carrying 2 cold beers for us. Paul gave us directions to anywhere in town. Foodie heaven in this quiet corner of Calpe. We stayed half board and ate at the Komfort restaurant - not the Michelin-starred Beat next door. Even so, the food was exceptional. Hygiene: The floor was not clean. We spilled water and used paper towels to wipe the water, but the paper towels were covered with dust and hair. Service: There was a piece of cake in the room, but it was rotten. I called the front desk, but they just took it away and nothing happened. The apartments are up some quite steep hills around 1km from the beach and restaurants so might be tough with young children unless you have a car. Well this is my 4th visit to this brilliant friendly and exceptionally clean hotel. We use the Galetamar as a base for going rock climbing in Costa Blanca and each time we've been we have had a fantastic time. Well recommend this hotel for a relaxing holiday.
