Port Europa Hotel

We stayed there in August. The room was big and very comfortable with a lovely sea view. Staff were polite and helpful especially Adrian on night reception. The food was plentiful and a good variety. Pool was clean and loads of sunbeds

1. Large, well equipped rooms and fairly reasonable for the price considering that Calpe has gone completely crazy with accommodation prices. The hotel is a bit on the older side, but very clean and organized for a beach holiday. The balcony is large and spacious and there is good air current around it. The air conditioning works on a light switch and won't come on if you have the patio door open.
2. The staff we encountered were friendly and efficient. We added an extra child at check-in and the receptionist (a very friendly man) actually sent up an extra towel for the room and we didn't have to ask. This has NEVER happened in a hotel before. It shows experience and professionalism.
3. The pool activity staff are great and the kids had fun. There are activity monitors at the pool for the kids. They had a great time.
4. Ask for a lower floor room during peak times in the summer so you can use the stairs. If you don't, you'll be waiting for the elevator a lot.
5. We only had the breakfast included and it was good. Lots of variety and well organized.
6. Most of the streets around the hotel are paid metered parking. It's not easy to find free parking. The hotel has parking but it fills up fast during peak times so plan ahead.

Friendly professional staff with good English, especially Adrian on reception. Great big rooms with a wrap around balcony and fantastic views of the salt lake and the sea.
Rooms were spotlessly cleaned everyday and it had nice toiletries. Good choices for breakfast. This hotel is family-friendly.

Had a fantastic visit to Calpe, we stayed at the Hotel Port Europa. We were visiting my elderly parents near by and the hotel was perfectly situated, with brilliant views. The facilities were great and the staff always on hand to help. The rooms are a bit basic but we didn't mind this at all as we were not there to spend time in the room but to enjoy Calpe. We only booked Bed and Breakfast and what a good breakfast we had everyday. Well done chefs! Overall, it was a really good place to stay and will definitely be back. Fred B

We were pleasantly surprised on arrival at the hotel to find we'd been "upgraded" to an apartment with a great sea view. There were no "frills", except decent toiletries, but the apartment was comfortable - good mattresses on the 2 double beds- and very clean. Also a wrap-around balcony. The whole hotel was very clean and well cared-for. Housekeeping are to be congratulated. We found all the staff to be friendly and helpful. Outside areas were also well kept, including the pool area. The bar area and restaurant were clean and bright, with efficient table-clearing and a varied choice of food.
The hotel is very well situated, with a bus stop opposite and a 2 minute walk to the lovely promenade. Our room overlooked what seemed to be an area of waste ground, but in fact, this is an archaeological dig into Roman remains. There are information boards explaining the work.
We were 2 of very few British people staying. The majority were Spanish, which was fine with us.
Something to be noted: the public areas are clean and bright, but noisy. There are no soft furnishings to absorb the noise, which at meal times was very loud.
Nevertheless, we enjoyed our holiday and think that Port Europa offers good value for money.

All the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Our room had a fantastic view of the sea and was spacious and comfortable. We booked full board package and really enjoyed the choice of food.

Have called in a few times with a friend for drinks and enjoyed the experience. Lovely foyer, nice bar and lovely staff. Enjoyed their outside seating area in the sun and the view. Easy to walk to with lots of local parking.

Little dated but clean. Pleasant and friendly staff.
Bad acoustic in the restaurant which had a more works canteen feel

Dated but spacious rooms with beautiful views from the balcony, in a perfect location so close to the sea. Good breakfast buffet with a decent selection of vegetarian options too.
A shame the pool isn't accessible earlier in the morning.
