Beach: public, sandy, 50 m from the hotel (1st coastal line). On the beach umbrellas, chairs, mattresses: free. Pool towels: free of charge. At the pool umbrellas, sun beds: free of charge. The beach is 6 km away.

Beautiful brand new renovated hotel! The most amazing beaches of your life a brand new lush, full beautiful chairs. They just renovated this hotel and although they're working out their operational issues, this is a beautiful location located right with Nikki Beach right in front and a new brand new beach club as well. That's a super relaxing. All of the rooms are brand new and gorgeous and upgraded, and I was really happy with the team and the stay! This hotel really cares about their profits and reinvest their profits back into the business. Very close to all the great restaurants as well.

This is our first day at don carlos Marbella hotel, first impression was very good from doorman to greeting bar staff who was kind and brought us coctails , the rest is totally disappointing, we got our rooms safe was broke , tv channels was not working , after shower the water is all over in bathroom, no shower door, we were almost sliding and falling , we went to the pool area there was one part that hotel guests can only sit on the beach beds if you buy a bottle of champagne. They even try to make more money from hotel guests by using hotel pool, which we paid 670euro per night for six days, their facilities are not even totally open there is a terrace infront of lobby signs say opening soon, we wanted to go to beach and found out that the beach of hotel is private beach , they even ask money to use the beach pool and beach beds and umbrellas , this hotel is totally ripped of , I already paid all money , I have 5 more days, I ll be making comments and share my experiences the other days , think about twice when you book this hotel .

This is a five-star resort in Marbella. It’s located 45 minutes away from Malaga Airport. We stayed there for 9 nights in a premium room with a sea view. We were 2 adults and a child. The room was spacious and had a sofa bed and our child. The room had a small balcony with an amazing view of the sea.
Breakfast was a bit simple and small.
There are two pools only, one for adults and one for toddlers. They don’t have a private beach but they have an access to the beach. They have access to the Lucia Summer Club (paid separately).
They have a very nice kids club with indoor and outdoor activities.
The place is located 18 minutes by taxi from Puerto Banus and Old Town.
Staff were very friendly and helpful.
I liked staying there, but they need to add more varieties to the breakfast menu. I also didn’t like that they didn’t have a suitable swimming pool for young children.

One star is too much for this hotel.
The hotel is lying that they have a beach, but unfortunately they don’t. Nobody is informing you that you have to book for Nikki beach ( which is right next to the hotel and used to have an agreement with them, their customers to use their beach area) or for the other beach club, which is a total disaster with horrible food. After a request to speak with the manager she tried to book a beach bed, but without any results. Even showing that in Agoda and Booking was clearly shown that the hotel has beach, she didn’t offer any compensation , when saw that we are disappointed. They definitely don’t care of satisfying their customers.Forgot also to mention that the hotel staff is extremely slow. The lifts are also not working all the time. Definitely will not come back here and suggesting other people to not stay with them.

The Don Carlos is closed for major repairs and renovations until at least next year. The famous name has been removed from the top of the iconic tower block. It used to be a landmark visible from miles around. We were very disappointed when we turned up there this week to visit the usually fabulous bar. There is no notice on the website or at the hotel itself. It's really not good enough that the hotel website doesn't give any indication that it's closed now, and they didn't even reply when I emailed them about it. Otherwise it was a really stylish and upmarket place to visit.

I met my husband here in 2001 on a tennis holiday from Surrey. I have since been back with girlfriends and my husband for several holidays and cannot recommend enough! The food is outstanding, staff incredibly courteous and incorporate old fashioned customer service which is incredibly hard to find these days . Staff have been there for years

we had a wonderful stay at this hotel, and I want to express my gratitude, especially to the staff member Sam. The hotel itself was top-notch, with comfortable rooms, an excellent location, and great amenities.
However, Sam truly made our stay unforgettable. Her kindness and attentiveness to guests are outstanding. She always went the extra mile to ensure that we felt comfortable and welcomed. Her recommendations for local restaurants and attractions were perfect.
I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel, thanks to the fantastic staff like Sam who truly make the stay special. I look forward to my next visit!

Friendly staff. Beautiful setting.

The good: Staff is super friendly, service is flawless. The Spa is great.
The bad: It was recommended to us by a friend. Pictures are deceiving. The building is old. Most it remodeled but it still feels old. Food is terrible. We tried all restaurants and many menu items and the food was simply BAD. The mattress in our room was higher on one side of the bed and it felt like you’d fall off the bed when rolling over in the middle of the night. They have events on the weekends with terrible loud music that can be heard in the rooms. But … they did a great job training their staff. Very professional and helpful. While this review is for the hotel, i have to add that I was overall disappointed as to the entire area as it felt very worn out and in bad shape. It simply felt like a poor country and not a modern European country. Maybe Covid
