Silken Al-Andalus Palace

This is our second night of a one week stay and so far it’s the worst hotel that I’ve stayed in in Spain. Definitely not four-star. And I have stayed in hotels in Spain for a total of almost five months in my life. There are a few issues, but primarily we just don’t feel welcome. Hopefully it improves. I could not possibly recommend it at all based on the first couple of nights. There are a few really great staff members (the young security guard at the door to the pool and our cleaning person are great) but sadly more who are not.

Not what I expected from a 4 stars hotel, the room doesn't have basic amenities such as an iron or kettle, indeed if you want to use the iron they charge €5 per hour, and the fridge wasn't working and just two bottles of water in the room. The housekeeping was a very professional, helpful and lady. The food at the restaurant was ok but if you want a cocktail (something so basic like an aperol spritz) you have to wait until 19:00 when the cocktail bar opens, despite that they have the ingredients at their bar. The location of the hotel is quite far from the city center but there are some routes from the public transport near-by and few bars around the area. Not a very pleasant place in general for being at 4 stars and it's not a great value.

I recently checked into Hotel Silken Al Andaus with high hopes for a comfortable stay, but unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. Upon entering my room, I was greeted with an overwhelming sense of disappointment. The shower floor was covered in grime, the tiles were visibly dirty, and there were unsightly stains on both the curtains and bed sheets.

To add the sink drained sluggishly, and the toilet had trouble flushing properly. It was evident that the room had not been properly cleaned or maintained. Unable to bear the thought of spending a night in such conditions, I promptly checked out just 10 minutes after arriving.

My attempt to salvage the situation by requesting a refund was met with refusal from the hotel management, despite my willingness to show them the unacceptable state of the room they provided. This ordeal not only dampened my entire visit but also left a lasting impression of dissatisfaction.

I strongly advise against booking a stay at this sham of an hotel until they address their cleanliness and maintenance issues, as no guest should have to endure such substandard conditions.
